I am still in awe, and speechless, of how well Ruiyo took care of my pets and home. She sent us Bentley (Yorkie) and Max (cat) photos daily with little updates - unprompted - because she’s just that thoughtful. Bentley is a senior now and requires more outdoor breaks and never once did Ruiyo make us feel like his added needs were too much. She was a dream to work with and communicate with in every way possible. I would love for her to come back sometime. (Please!) I highly suggest Ruiyo if she submits and application!
Kelly and I were privileged to be able to stay in Lisa‘s home in Keystone and take care of her adorable, sweet girl, Piper. Piper is a very well behaved dog and easy to care for. Her routine is easy and super manageable. Piper enjoys her outings and is very comfortable on her leash. She is highly motivated with food so taking dog treats along to coax her along is helpful, especially if she sees you have them handy. Lisa is an exceptional communicator and made sure we were comfortable before we came for the weekend. She provides clear directions well ahead of time and was very approachable with any questions or clarifications. We arrived to a very clean home, a delightfully happy and welcoming dog, a comfortable king size bed, and everything we needed. The view off the spacious balcony is outstanding, and we enjoyed the crackle of a real fire in the evenings to take the chill off. We highly recommend anyone for this comfortable pet sit. Thank you Lisa for giving us this opportunity with Piper in your beautiful home.
This was a dream sit. Heather and her family welcomed us into their beautiful home, offered us a cup of tea and chatted us through a few things before they left for their holiday. They left a clear set of instructions and we communicated via text throughout the week when needed. Rex and Katara were the coolest cats, super chilled and independent. Rex was like our wee shadow he would love hanging out with us in the garden. We loved watching all the tiny fish dart around in the tank like little bolts of electricity. Heather’s home was a perfect spot, 20 minute bus journey from centre of Auckland, which was tucked away off the main road and surrounded by trees, which felt like a little paradise retreat.
One of my favourite sits so far! I had a lovely time pet sitting for Jeremiah & Jenna! Their family is absolutely gorgeous and so kind. Dexter was absolutely adorable. He’s a very sweet and gentle soul (until at the park when his best friend Blue is around 😈😂). Every afternoon we went to the park and met with the local dog group which was so wholesome and a great social factor if you’re staying solo! The house was lovely with a guest bedroom and ensuite, made it feel like ‘my space’ for the week. The area was great, a lovely and safe neighbourhood with the local shops and transport a short walk away.
Asa made our first trip to Iceland a great experience. She is such a natural host and a great addition to the THS family. She and her daughter Lara greeted us with easy conversation over a delicious dinner. They are great cooks and have an enormous spice collection. Their home is modern, warm, and comfortable. We discovered over the sit how ideal a location they are at. It is across the street from the Laugardalslaug, the largest municipal pool in the city. We shared a 10 ticket pass and went every day to soak among the locals. It’s the center of the community for all ages, quieter on weekdays and packed on the weekends. We discovered when walking Atlas that the pool was just one corner of Reykjavik’s huge park complex with a large gym, indoor sports complex, ice rink, soccer stadium, botanical garden, and even campgrounds and a zoo. The shoreline is a 10 minute walk and goes all the way to downtown. There is even an excellent seafood store a block away and a great Braud bakery location two blocks down. Downtown is in walking range, but we prefer the 10 minute drive or short bus ride. Atlas is a pleasure to take care of. He is easy to walk and happy to go anywhere. Our favorites were around the huge park across the street and along the shoreline. He is fine around other dogs and excited to see cats. At home, he likes to stay close by wherever we might be. He loves tummy and back rubs. We got to meet Lotta when we arrived and she is a happy pup with some spunk. She had her own vacation for the week at her brother’s. We’d love to return and spend time with both of them. We highly recommend Asa for anyone interested in Iceland. It is truly an amazing destination.
Very nice and warm sitting in a quiet neighborhood in Rotterdam ✨ We met with Marta and Paulo before sitting dates and had a nice time to know each other better. Dogs are so sweet and playful, cats are warm and kind :) We stayed in touch with Marta and Paulo when I need something to ask and everything was clear and easy. Happy about this time with your pets, guys! 🙏✨
Frederic and Karine have a most lovely home and property which delighted me with it’s natural beauty and peaceful setting every day I was there. The four hens were adorable, and fun to sit for. The responsibilities required were very reasonable and their instruction made sitting easy to do. The family was welcoming, genuine, and so caring that I fell in love with each of them in short order, including their young adult children who are incredible, responsible, and examples of their parents good work and love. I so admired and respected the true human compassion demonstrated by the hosts. I am both humbled and grateful to have been their pet sitter and hope to do so as many times as they want in the future.
