Dog Sitters in Westwood, MD

Jane and David were great sitters. Our home was clean and tidy when we returned and our dogs were happy and well cared for. We would be happy to have them sit for us again sometime.

Christine and her son Stefan stayed and cared for our 2 dogs, 2 cats, 6 chickens, home, and garden for a month while we were away. They did a beautiful job stepping in and caring for the space and animals as we would. Chris communicated the few unexpected incidents for quick resolution. We would welcome them back anytime!

Armando is a charming young man who cared for our home and Little Monster. He kindly agreed to sleep in the single room for his short stay to avoid us having to change linens, etc., on the morning we were leaving, which was very much appreciated. We had a lovely meal out the evening that he arrived. His caring nature filled us with confidence to leave him in our home with our precious LM. Little Monster was delighted to share his bed with Armando. He was very chilled on our return, but he concerned Armando by staying out much later than usual. Armando did the right thing and checked if this was normal. We received regular photos and updates. LM and ourselves highly recommend Armando. It was his first sit, but he is a natural and handled our requests for LM and the Hogs. We hope to welcome him back again in the future.

I was really hoping for a smooth experience with Duncan's pet care, and while Duncan seems like a nice person, there were several issues when I returned home that I feel need to be addressed. First, I explicitly stated that I did not want guests in my home, but my neighbor—who, while being a bit nosey, is generally helpful—mentioned that Duncan had someone over without my knowledge. This was quite concerning, as respecting my home and rules is important to me. Secondly, the cleanliness of the kitchen was not up to par. When I returned, I found sticky substances on the counters, around the sink, and residue left on the stove. Additionally, two pots stored in the cabinet were stained with what appeared to be the same food residue that was on the stove – one was my cast iron skillet. Cleanliness is a basic expectation when providing care, and this left me disappointed. The most disturbing issue, however, was the handling of the litter box. I had to throw away my broom and dustpan because they had been used to clean up cat waste that didn’t make it into the LitterBot because it was stuck in a cycle. It was clear that one of my cats was forced to relieve themselves outside of the litter box, and the way this was dealt with was unacceptable. Finally, Duncan notified me of a broken doorknob, which I had to report to maintenance. I later found out that it appeared to have been pulled off rather than being worn down by normal use as I assumed when I received the text. While I’m not sure how this happened, it was just another frustrating issue on top of everything else. I'm generally not picky and try to be understanding, but these problems left me disappointed with the care provided. I hope Duncan takes this feedback constructively and improves these areas for future clients.

Manny and Marina are the BEST! Easy to communicate with, and I felt confident that they would ask questions if something came up (and they did). They sent just enough updates and photos to keep us reassured but without plunging us into missing our kitties too much. They loved the cats so much that they a) bought us a tiny adorable figurine that looks like one of them, b) came back in for pets and chats a few days after the sit had ended and they had returned for a forgotten water bottle. To sum up, lovely human beings, would totally trust them for anything, the cats obviously really liked them, and the cats and house were well tended while we were gone. Completely recommend without hesitation.

Lauren, Daniel, Jonah and Aly were wonderful housesitters! We spoke via zoom in advance of the trip and they asked great questions and shared valuable information about their experience as housesitters. Communication was easy, thoughtful and appreciated. They gave timely updates and planned well. They arrived early to meet our pets and get a tour. During our trip, they sent happy pet photos and updates. Upon our return, the house was spotless and they left a treat for us to eat and an unexpected gift. We really enjoyed having their family stay and we hope they enjoyed their time at our home. We know our pets did! 🐾

What a great experience we had with Lisa. She was so good with Cella. She was very tolerant of Cella's early rising. She's a tiny little thing, but has a big personality and knows what she wants. Lisa was so good at reading her needs. We were able to have a zoom interview with Lisa before we confirmed the sit. She stayed in touch with us daily and kept us updated on how things were going. When we arrived home, Lisa had washed all of the bedding and towels. She vacuumed and thoroughly cleaned the kitchen and bathroom. We couldn't be more pleased with Lisa as our sitter for Cella. We hope we'll be able to have her again. She was awesome.

Linda and Jon were excellent, very reliable and left the place in great shape, thank you for the wonderful sit!

Alicia was a wonderful pet-sitter for our dog, Lottie, and for our daughter’s fish, Lychee! She was in touch with us daily with photos of Lottie, sometimes accompanied by her friendly lab Mitch, and even sent a video of Lychee, which our daughter appreciated. We felt so comfortable with the care and attention paid to Lottie and would definitely welcome Alicia again! As a house sitter, Alicia was amazing as well. After our week away, we returned to our house and found it in the same condition we had left it (if not a little cleaner…). During our time away, the remnants of hurricane Debby passed through our area. We were worried about how the storms would impact Alicia’s stay, but she kept us up to date, which allowed us to enjoy our vacation in a way that would not have been possible without her there. Overall, Alicia was amazing and we couldn’t recommend her highly enough!

Pilar was the best housesitter and petsitter I have ever had! My apartment was spotless when she left, she communicated and sent pictures every day, and most importantly, my cat Mouse was so relaxed and happy when I returned so I know he loved her and she did a great job. I'd love to her have again. Thank you Pilar, you are a credit to this platform.

Martin and Lili were very loving sitters for our two cats. They showed deep and genuine care for them. Both cats clearly felt comfortable around them as they showed their bellies in no time! We appreciated the regular pictures and updates. We also appreciated their flexibility with kids who needed to grab things for college and timing with end of stay. Would have them back any time!

Claire was perfect. She communicated well. Was on time, responsible and caring. There was a PGE outage while she was there and she made sure everything went well. We appreciated her so much and would welcome her back anytime
