Love Armadale! They take amazing care of our dogs, know them by name, and are easy to coordinate with! Being next door to a vet also gives us great peace of mind when traveling.

We have been using Armadale for 8 years now and love the staff! I was a few minutes late for pickup for the first time and since this is not the norm, they stayed a few minutes late and even waived the after hour pickup charge. My dog is timid and does not usually get along well with other dogs or people (apart from myself and a select few). However, she loves the Armadale staff! It is such a reassuring feeling knowing she is being taken care of and loved on while we are away. The staff are also able to accommodate by taking her out alone and not during group play. I love that the kennel also offers grooming services that can be completed during their stay. I highly recommend the staff at Armadale!

Armadale is the only vet and kennel we use for our dogs and kitty. Our animals actually like going there and are excited to see staff and play with other animals. The facilities are very clean and well operated, and everyone clearly loves the pets they are caring for. I wouldn't take them anywhere else!

Our family dog is nervous and aggressive toward other dogs. Despite this, she looks forward to her visits at Armadale. The facilities are clean and they have large spaces for the dogs. Bella gets extra love time (for a nominal fee) that keeps her happy while we are gone! The staff is friendly, accommodating, and clearly cares for the animals in their charge. I can't recommend Armadale more!

We love both the overnight kennel and the day care. My dog is always beyond excited to go and see her friends - both dog and human! The staff is great - friendly, patient, kind. The play group, the doggy treadmill, the treats! A terrific experience every time we go.

Our boy loves his time at Armadale—days out and overnights at camp! He’s a terrier who prefers getting belly rubs from humans to playing with dog friends and the team there understand him and give him love and space to sun bathe during play group. The staff always greets us enthusiastically and Rufus never hesitates to begin his stay. We are confident he’s in good hands at Armadale. Highly recommend!

I thoroughly enjoyed my visit. The lady who assisted me and my dog was incredibly attentive and pleasant, fulfilling all my requests. I was initially concerned about the outcome, especially since I didn’t want my dog’s fur to end up looking pink "skin." My dog needed a trim, and with his white fur and tiny size, I wanted to ensure the cut was just right. The result was perfect, and I’m very pleased with how it turned out.

Really impressed by how clean all the fish tanks were. Not a single dead fish or a tank with algae. Kudos to the person that is really caring for these fish babies. He/she deserves a raise!

We had a good initial visit. I have a small healthy dog that just needed a check for his shots. The vet asked me if I would be willing to hold off on one for a couple of weeks to space them out. Of course! Whatever is best for my dog. I purchased one of their package exams that included the shots. Both the vet and receptionist said there of course would be no additional fee for the followup shot/visit. We booked the followup appointment to come back right then and there. Again assured there would be no additional fee. We came back for the appointment and they tried to charge us $150 because today there was a different vet there and they needed to do an exam.. excuse me? He just had an exam here two weeks ago.. they kept arguing that it was a different vet- how is this our fault there is a different vet there that day? Do they not trust their partners? Then they didn’t know what the additional shot he needed was.. I didn’t particularly remember. I would expect the vet to have this information since they are the ones asking me to come back for it.. We argued this and they then tried $125, $75, $50… My husband finally paid then $40 after it turned into talking to 3 different people and spending an hour there for an appointment that was just to get a vaccine we had already paid for. COMPLETE SCAM

This place is always understaffed, and whenever they have staff they’re unprofessional even by entry level retail standards. We keep stopping in to see if it was a one off thing, but it seems like this location just stays disappointing. We drive further out to the PetSmart on Millbrook now, because they have friendlier staff, stock the shelves well, and actually hold engaging conversations about pet care. We would rather drive a little further knowing we can rely on the service and product availability then waste time trying with this place any more.

I took my dog to this office for a first time visit because she was having itching skin and eyes and they wouldn't even let us see the provider for this issue before we agreed to pay $400 for something we weren't there for. I probably would have gone back for more services if we hadn't been brushed off. This place will NEVER EVER get my business.

The staff are excellent!! We went through basic and advanced fundamentals with the trainers here and it's been a truly invaluable experience. Our girl was a foster from a bad situation and now she is on track for canine good citizenship! She has blossomed, and has been able to grow out of her anxiety. To say we are happy with the service here is to put it lightly.

The store manager and cashier were very knowledgeable on leopard geckos. It is very friendly and has a great appetite. Would definitely recommend buying one from this location.

I had a fish tank that I needed to get rid of due to space. I needed to “rehome” my 8 healthy, small tropical fish. I called the location and the lady on the phone said they would be happy to take my fish as a “donation”. The next day, I spent a lot of time carefully catching my fish and putting them into a bucket to take to the Petco on Glenwood Ave. When I got there, the rude manager told me they didn’t have a tank for them to go into. I explained to him that the girl who answered the phone the day before said I could bring them in. Here I am stuck with my poor fish in a bucket and no place for them to go. This store has a huge communication issue with their staff! And the manager is unprofessional. I have never had a good experience at this Petco! I do NOT recommend spending your money here. Go to PetSmart that’s only 8 miles up the road.

Excellent service! Staff is friendly and incredibly helpful! Excellent value!! A clean environment. Bella, my dog, enjoys the delectable goodies, especially the dog treat biscuits! All of the clothes are incredibly cute, and the cranberry relief healthy urinary tract pet snacks were extremely beneficial! Also, the Adams carpet powder was excellent! I strongly suggest this store to all pet owners and caregivers.

Kato and her team did a very thorough job learning about our cat's needs and preferences before our trip. This attention to detail paid off, as our pet sitters Ginny and Becca both went above and beyond in taking care of our little Hazel. They sent us a detailed summary of their visits twice daily, including several photos and amusing anecdotes. In addition, they took care of our home while we were away, took out trash, collected mail, etc. We would not hesitate in recommending Bone-A-Fide to any pet owner!

If I could give them ten stars, I would! Kato and the team helped take care of my cat during many trips over a span of three years, and I can say with confidence they are the best of the best! From the start, the team has always had excellent communication, and really helped ease my mind. I had never used pet sitting services, so their thorough interview and information gathering process was eye opening as to the level of detail and care they put into each pet sitting job. The entire team is professional, knowledgeable, and clearly pet lovers! Each visit was always accompanied by a detailed explanation of the visit - the good, the bad, and everything in between! I was never left wondering how my cat was doing or if she was okay, I knew the Bone-A-Fide Team would take care of her. Each visit also featured plenty of photos, I could make a whole album! I've always told anyone who would listen to try out their services. I moved out of their current service range, which was a tough choice to make. Staying close by so I could continue to enjoy their services was part of my moving considerations, and I'm sad to say goodbye to the wonderful Bone-A-Fide Team! If you're looking for a pet sitter, definitely give them a call!

We have been using Bone-A-Fide Pet Care for overnight pet sitting and daily care for over a year now. Our fur baby, Lucy, is 14 years old and the care given to her has far exceeded our expectations. Kato, Laura, Marisa and Hillary are professional, quick to respond and caring. Communication is top notch and Hillary, who has been providing sleep over care for Lucy is beyond awesome. She always leaves our house neat and tidy, is kind and caring to our old girl’s special needs, and Lucy loves her. We are so grateful we found Bone-A-Fide Pet Care!

We have used Bone-A-Fide for bi-weekly dog walks for 7+ years. First for one dog, then with several fosters, and finally with the addition of our 2nd dog. They have always been very responsive and attentive to our dogs’ needs. They have worked with us through training challenges, occasional illness, extreme weather and even the pandemic! After each walk, we always get a full report – with photos, and it’s obvious that the dog walkers really care. Our dogs LOVE their dog walker – and we trust her implicitly. Highly recommend!

I am new to BoneAFide and a new cat person. They took wonderful care of Taco Cat while we were away! The daily update with pictures was perfect and Taco was happy as can be when we returned. BoneAFide pet care is perfect for the week long pet care with easy scheduling online. Hillary easily won over Taco’s heart and they were playing together in no time. She took great care of the plants and house, too, above and beyond what we expected! Professional and personal all at the same time. We have already booked future services for Taco!

Bone A Fide was amazing. They did a great job of giving us daily updates as well as pics. The portal and app they use are fairly easy to use as well. Each of our pets (4 bunnies) was just as healthy and happy as we had left the. I really appreciate the care that was taken of our pets, our property, and the pet's areas. Will definitely be using them next time we travel.

I LOVE taking my dog here for daycare. I am happy knowing that while I am at work, my dog (Dakota) has ample time outside to sniff and play with his friends, along with a comfy rest indoors on couches and soft beds. I think this type of daycare is superior to a standard large business/vet clinic/boarding facility because my dog is not kept in a loud kennel on a concrete floor with constant loud barking from other dogs- here he has a backyard to sniff with LOTS of outdoor play as opposed to boring astroturf with no trees. There is a perfect amount of other dogs for him to socialize with each time (7-10); not too many, but just enough. It's not overwhelming for him and he is always entertained. Caroline does a great job at sending me pictures of Dakota throughout the day and on rainy days she provides enrichment activities- this is something I really appreciate, as I do the same thing when I am home with him. I have referred several people to this Daycare and I will continue to do so! Thank you Caroline and Eric!

The photo says it all! Both times we’ve left our dog with Caroline and Eric for boarding we’ve had a great experience! They send pictures often and provide updates, and our boy always seems happy but exhausted after. Would recommend!

Our dog Maggie LOVES going to Caroline's! We have used Caroline and Eric for daycare and boarding and Maggie has a great time every time. I love that the dogs get to play together all day and that it's in a home environment, and Caroline and Eric couldn't be nicer.

Petcare by Caroline is great! I moved from IL where my dog had only ever been boarded at a similar business - in the homeowners home, when you know the homeowner is there through the night. We meet before my dog’s boarding appointment for a meet-and-greet where we talked about my dog and his behavior and I got to see where he would be playing with his new doggo friends! PBC sent photos and detailed texts, it made me feel so at ease when traveling away from my dog. Thank you Petcare by Caroline. I recommend Petcare by Caroline!

The folks at Petcare by Caroline really know what they are doing and I feel such peace of mind leaving my rescue dog with them while I’m out of town. My dog Hallie used to get overwhelmed at a traditional boarding facility, but their home environment, individualized attention, and slow introductions to the other dogs helped her to thrive here. She is pooped from all the playing but excited to go back soon!

Our 6 month old puppy Franklin absolutely loves going to daycare! Caroline creates a very home like environment for our baby. So many toys, a huge backyard to explore and lots of other dogs in his age range to play with. We know he is in good care every time we drop him off. When we pick him up, he is happy and exhausted and a dream to train because he has more manners at home. We even get updates on Instagram & text on how he is doing. We will be using pet care by Caroline as long as we live in Raleigh! She is an amazing communicator and she has a love for dogs that shows.

We’ve had great experiences with PetCare by Caroline. Our dog is very high energy, and my husband and I want to give her a chance for socialization and exercise that we can’t on our own. Caroline’s provides that. Our dog can’t wait to get to the play yard each week when we arrive. We’ve also had excellent experiences with boarding her at Caroline’s. Prices are reasonable, and she comes home happy.

Caroline and her team took exceptional care of our pets while my husband and I were away for a whopping four weeks. They sent us consistent updates, even while we were out of the country. From the photos and videos they shared, and the general demeanors of our dog and two cats upon our return, it is clear they cared for the trio as if they were their own pets. Highly recommend Ark Angels Pet Care for your pet-sitting needs! We have 2 cats and have used the service on multiple occasions, with one of the fantastic pet-sitters, Jennifer, coming to our home to take care of our fur babies. They are trustworthy, our cats LOVED Jennifer, she always provided us with daily updates via text so we knew how the cats were doing, and provided an information sheet for when we arrived home with detail from each day we were away. She spent time with our cats ensuring they not only were fed and litter boxes cleaned, but she played with them, brushed them, gave them treats... some nice TLC they needed while we were away. I never felt concerned when Jennifer was watching our cats. Ark Angels Pet Care is professional, caring, punctual, and I have absolutely zero complaints! Our experience with Ark Angels Pet Care was great and our two kitties were taken care of very well. The process was smooth and their staff was very prompt with scheduling and organizing around our ten-day vacation. While on vacation, they sent daily pictures and videos of our cats which we looked forward to every day. When we came back the litter was cleaned, water was full, and food bowls were clean too. For two cats it came out to ~$20/day which I thought was reasonable. While I can't speak re: dog-sitting, we would definitely recommend this pet sitting service for any cat-owner. In fact, we will be using their service again for an upcoming 5-day camping trip.

Very professional service. We were referred by a coworker of mine to take care of our cats and they went above and beyond to follow all of our detailed instructions and even send me updates and pictures of our cats every visit! They also kept our apartment clean from litter and did some extra things to make our cats as comfortable as possible.

We are so grateful to have been connected to Candace. Our dog had just broken her paw before our week long trip. With a cast we could no longer board our dog. Luckily Candace was available to cover some of the dates and did a great job taking care of our girl while in a cast. We got great picture updates and we came home to a happy pup and a clean home!

Candace is reliable, professional, and is passionate about the care of fuzzy-family members. We hired her to watch 4 at once for multiple days and she responded with understanding and care. A great benefit of using Pet Care by Candace, is that she is willing to stay overnight so that there is no stress from new environments on the animal's... this meant we had someone watching our home as well! I highly, highly recommend her to care for your pets!

Candace has stayed in our home and cared for our (very active) dog and two cats a number of times over the last 2 years. Candace is absolutely great! I have two young pit bulls, 7 months and 3 years old, and they are my babies!!!! I wouldn’t leave them with anyone I fight trust. Triangle Pet Sitters did a great job in taking care of our 2 cats during a vacation. Melissa was friendly and professional during the meet and greet and my cats took to her right away. I received lots of pictures and it was evident that she spent time playing with them on top of taking care of all the food/water/litter essentials. Will definitely continue using their services for to cover future trips.

Triangle Pet Sitters came to my home to stay with my boxer kid for a weekend. I was sent texts with pictures and videos of my boy. I’m pretty sure he loved his vacation as much as we did. Great communication and you can see the love for animals!

Triangle Pet Sitters is an excellent dog sitter. In addition to being very professional, they take personal care of your pets. While my husband and I went to Ashville they sent us at least 10 photos and 2 videos. My pups looked so happy. They have a fenced-in yard and a screened porch that my pets loved sitting and playing in. They have kept our dogs several times and will stay with them in the future.

Our family has used Triangle Pet Sitters twice for overnight stays while we traveled. I feel comfortable leaving my pet knowing that they have years of experience especially with rescue beagles. I can relax on my trip knowing that my dog is being cared for and loved on in a family setting where she can nap on the couch and run in the fenced-in yard, just like at home. I also appreciate that Triangle Beagle Rescue sends me daily updates including pictures.

I have a super senior dachshund with special needs and he’s my world. He’s 14, has had IVDD surgery, epilepsy, and is deaf. He takes medication daily and has to be carried up all stairs, etc. Needless to say I’m very particular about his care and usually only have family members or close friends watch my little dude since he has so many quirks. I had to take a 5 day trip and was agonizing about finding a good pet sitter for this extended time away. I called my vet for recommendations, scoured Google, and was freaking out. My husband found Melissa and called her, and after meeting we felt comfortable with choosing her services. Let me say that Melissa is AMAZING! She sent so many pics and video updates and I could tell my boy was having a blast. My dog ended up chewing his feet because of seasonal allergies, and she sent me pics and videos of his paws and washed his feet and applied medication after we talked about it. She also noticed my dogs IVDD was acting up and kept an eye on it (it ended up being OK he was just tired). Melissa absolutely went above and beyond, and did so much more than was originally anticipated as far as medication and care. She is extremely knowledgeable and really cares about animals. I cannot thank her enough and we have officially found our pet sitter!

During my travels, Melissa & Jason have taken great care of my dog many times over the years. They always treat my dog with lots of love and pampering. And they text me updates and videos on his activities & welfare. Most importantly they are dependable, reliable, and very caring.

Melissa and Jason are great! They have watched our beagle twice so far. They send frequent updates, pictures, and videos. Since we have found them I never worry about our dog when we go away because I know he is being well cared for!

Melissa and Jason have watched our lab mix Arbor for over a year. I appreciate how much they love and understand dogs. Arbor regularly goes to doggy daycare at their house and also boards with them when we are out of town. They send me videos and photos during her stay and I love to see her playing with other dogs or just chilling with their family. It's nice to know that when I can't be with her she is in good hands.

Melissa is a gem! The most caring animal lover I’ve ever met. She sends photos, updates and loves on our cats and dog like their are hers. Not sure any of them wanted us back after vacation!

We have been boarding with Lynn for over a year and are so fortunate to have found her! Our fur baby comes home after spending time with Lynn and it’s like she was never away from home. It’s hard leaving your fur baby for an extended period, but with Lynn she makes it much easier and we never worry. Lynn is an amazing, trusting, knowledgeable caregiver who puts dedication and compassion into her care.

I’m so happy that we found Lynn. She’s been extremely trustworthy and reliable for our Bernedoodle puppy and has a been a great source of knowledge for first-time dog owners as well! Lynn was fantastic! She came in last minute and took great care of our senior dog for a weekend. She was very professional but sent such nice updates on texts with sweet pictures. Would definitely recommend her!

Lynn had been supporting our family for over 5 years and has taken care of 3 of our 4 legged golden retriever children. Lynn checks in while at our house and provides tracking of their walks with pictures. Lynn has taken care of our dogs in the house, let out for potty breaks, taken on walks and pet taxi to and from boarding. Our dogs love Lynn and are sooo excited to see her when she comes! We thoroughly trust Lynn with a key to our home and with our animals. Lynn is amazing and we would highly recommend to anyone considering her services!!

I love Lynn! I've known her a long time and rarely have had to use her services. But last year when I had my hip replaced and was left in a real bind by another person walking my two big dogs, Lynn didn't bat an eye and fit me into her really busy schedule. This is what I call great service! Professional, dependable, reliable...just a great person. Lynn loves the animals and they love her. Plus she taught me a thing or two in the process. Although a long-time Raleigh resident and dog owner, until May, 2023 I had never used a pet sitter, and it took me a considerable amount of time, online research, and several extensive interviews before I was fortunate to find Lynn's Compassionate Pet Care. And while my pet care needs were not for the typical reason of vacation travel, but rather due to a scheduled surgical procedure and post-op recovery at home, my experience offers an especially accurate assessment of this professional's level of expertise, since I was present during all of her visits! Moreover, having two adult Salukis not at ease with unknown humans and requiring considerably more daily exercise than the average family pet (they are known as THE athletes of the canine world), I had ruled out several perspective pet-sitting companies before interviewing Lynn, who was the only candidate who understood that if a sighthound manages to get loose, chances are slim that it will survive automobile traffic due to its speed and desire to chase small wildlife. Her rapport with my two aloof girls was miraculous, and there was never any doubt that they were safe in her care. It is no exaggeration to say that I would have cancelled my surgery if not for Lynn's Compassionate Care!

We have had Lynn care for our three cats several times. She is professional, trustworthy, caring, and goes above and beyond. We were able to be away from home without worry. Lynn spent time playing with and grooming them. We received updates and photos every visit. Lynn also was able to give our diabetic cat insulin injections. We couldn’t be happier with her services, and highly recommend her.

I have two dogs, one of which is a chihuahua who can be very nervous with new people/unfamiliar surroundings. They have stayed with Lynn multiple times and she is top notch. Safe to say he does not do well in boarding at the vet or pet hotel. I trust her with my dogs 100%. My chi does great with her, She goes above and beyond - they get loved on and played with the whole time, after drop off she sits with them/loves on them to help them get comfortable after you leave, I get picture updates this whole time. It’s so worth it knowing they are well taken care of in a loving home while I’m gone and she does and amazing job. 100% recommend!

Lynn has been my beloved pet sitter for two years, but she is so much more than a pet sitter to me and my cherished Australian Cattle Dog, Arwen. She is a true friend and beautiful person in all ways. (Lynn came to comfort me the night I had to say goodbye to my best boy Merlin, my once-in-a-lifetime Australian Cattle Dog she also cared for until his death.) Lynn makes communication a priority, and her pictures and updates really ease my mind when I have to be away from my dear girl. Lynn helped raise and train Arwen as a puppy and continues to love her through daycare services and boarding on the rare occasions I can bring myself to be away from her. 😆 I can't imagine trusting my girl with anyone else.
