Florence
Ben and Florence are a lovely couple. They have a cozy home filled with beautiful decor. Communication and instructions were super clear and easy to understand. We really appreciated the photo and video explanations to guide us through everything (as well as the little treat that was left for us upon arrival)!

Ivy and Raya were such a joy to look after. Ivy is a gorgeous, ball-motivated girl who loves to play at the park. She has such a calm demeanour and enjoys taking her time to enjoy the scenery and scents during her walks.

Raya is a sweet girl who mostly keeps to herself. She loves sitting on the windowsills in the sun, looking out to the gorgeous garden they have in the backyard. We had the pleasure of being human elevators for her to get up to higher spots of the house. She has the cutest meow and will respond when being talked to.

It was a pleasure to care for the two girls. We would definitely recommend this sit to others!

Leana
We recently completed a housesit for Orla and Leana.

The house was lovely, clean and bright with great working-from-home space. The area is residential, safe and quiet and the high street shops are just a short walk away. There is a great green space right outside which is very handy, too.

Reilly and Quinn are energetic, playful and cheeky. They instantly felt comfortable around us - they love affection and being around people. However, they turned out to be more demanding than we initially expected. At the start of the sitting, we were aware of the training required, feeding routines and games, and the fact they don’t like being left alone for more than 3 hours. We felt that the dogs did not like being separated even for short periods and felt anxious and barked even when we were in different rooms, which makes it difficult if you are working from home and have working calls. Our sit coincided with the heightened activity of foxes in the area which resulted in two very alert dogs. Their barking during the night would wake us up every single night to calm them down or let them out to pee. They have a lot of energy and are so strong on the leash that we found it difficult to walk around the block or walk them to the nearby parks even when the gentle leader was used. Leana kindly offered us their car (we did not feel comfortable driving in London), which would have helped, as inside the park the dogs are very well trained, can be off the leash and have great recall.

Leana and Orla could not be any more helpful during the sit. They were very considerate of our comfort, responsive and would jump on a call instantly if we needed some help around the house or with the dogs. We’d be honest with them and share our challenges with barking and walking on the leash and they’d provide us with plenty of tips and tricks that may help us calm them down or manage their behaviour, for which we were thankful. However, looking back, we realise it would have been good if we had been given a transparent picture of the dog’s behaviour and challenges that we might experience before confirming the sitting.

In hindsight, this housesit may be better suited for individuals with a car or those able to use the owner's car for extended walks. Prospective housesitters should be aware of the considerable effort and commitment required for this sit.
