We had ten days in this incredible house with this two gorgeous dogs and these days were over too fast. This house has everything you need, and the warm welcome from Linda and Peter and the perfect welcome guide completes everything. But now a few words to the most important in this Houses sit, the dogs. Boru and Paddy are two such great dogs, and it was a pleasure to explore new places with them every day. Boru with his ten months of age immediately got on with our Newfie Fynn. Both had fun every day with playing and running in the garden. It was so much fun to watch him playing with Fynn, because in many of his movements you can still clearly see the puppy. Even though Boru was still a puppy at this time his size and strength was impressive. But for the one who likes big breeds like us, will love it. Paddy the older Labrador took the chance for a few days off from his puppy brother and was glad not to have to play with Boru. He preferred to relax and enjoy the attention from us. But on our day trips, he was always the first in the car. Our day trips in the surrounding area had both visibly enjoyed. We believe, on the third day both had understood that taking the car key from the shelf indicates that a new adventure begins. The transport in the car, other dogs and people were never a problem. The handling of both in any situation was effortless. We thank Linda and Peter for the invitation to Scotland to spend a few days in her home and with her dogs. We appreciate that we were allowed to bring our dog with us as well and enjoyed the time there. I would recommend anyone here on Trusted Housesitter to apply here once. You will not regret it. If the dates fit, we would do it again.
Chris and Patty have a wonderful place to relax with their two sweet dogs. Lola and Yolo are very loving dogs and well behaved on walks and at home. We enjoying exploring their neighborhood and even though it was rainy we enjoyed their pool and the great restaurants nearby. Great communication before and throughout the stay and would definitely sit for them again.
We had thd most fantastic week with herbie and penelope. Herbie (the cat) we didn't see all the time but penelope was the sweetest dog we've ever met. So well behaved abd a real cekeb around lewes! The house is stunning and Harriet and David were the most welcoming hosts. Would not hesitate to return in a heart beat!
5 stars on everything! I was at Zeljka and Niall's house for two weeks taking care of their cute cat Tiggy. He was shy at first, but we soon became friends, and he became more affectionate than we expected. He is very calm and is out most of the time during the day. So since he's an outdoor cat, there is no kitty litter to change, as he does his business outside :) I believe he'll spend more time inside during winter, but he is super chill and will let you know when he wants attention and food. I have had no problem leaving him alone when going out for the day to explore the beautiful region. The owners have bikes available and the biking paths in that area will take you everywhere and are very well maintained (also the hiking paths!). I could also use their car and visited 1-hour away cities like Frankfurt. There is also the super cute city of Heidelberg close by. Their village is small, but there is a lot to do around if you appreciate nature, or are willing to drive further. The closest village (5 minutes by bike) had a very good beer garden and the food was delicious. Niall was super organized in regard to this, sending me maps, directions and suggestions even before I arrived. They were both genuinely interested I was going to have a good time. As for the house, it is super comfortable, with lots of books. I loved the barbecue area outside the kitchen, where there is a great view framed with beautiful flowers Zeljka keeps in that area. I was lucky the weather was nice and had all my meals outside. There is a separate flat downstairs for the sitter, but I could use the entire house. And I must say, I've housesat quite a bit, and this was the cleanest house in which I've ever housesat! I was very happy to have had the opportunity to take care of Tiggy and meet Zeljka and Niall. They are very delightful people and did everything to make my stay comfortable. They picked me up from the train station, even waited because the train was late, brought me back there when I was leaving and waited for the transportation to arrive, we shared meals, they didn't mind I had a friend over for the weekend, all the time showing extreme kindness. If you have the change to meet Zeljka, Niall and Tiggy, do not hesitate to apply as you will enjoy this sitting very much.
We so enjoyed our time with Murphy & Billie! They are very well mannered dogs, with great personalities, and it was a pleasure to sit them. Jason & Angie were very warm, generous and welcoming hosts. They have a beautiful lake home with all the amenities one needs. The home is situated near to the city of Saskatoon, and is an easy commute for groceries, restaurants and shopping. We have this sit in our "favorites" and would definitely return should the opportunity arise. Highly recommend!
I had such a great time sitting for Kait and Sam. They were incredibly hospitable and accommodating, and their pups and cats had so much affection to share. The house is in a great spot in N. Seattle with easy access to restaurants, parks, etc., but they live on a quiet street which is always nice. Their place at everything I needed to work during the week, cook a good meal, or just relax and enjoy some down time. I'll miss Harry and Fred and Jelly and Bean - great new friends to keep me entertained for a splendid week away. Would happily come back!
