We, my two kids and I, took care of the four chickens while Charlotte and Phil were away. The chickens were great. The weather wasn’t, but that’s not the hosts fault. I’d recommend a car when you housesit in Bamford. There is only a small gas station convenience store in town. We took the bus and train to Sheffield which took around 45min. There are great hiking and walking opportunities close to the house. Thanks, Charlotte and Phil for giving us the trust to care for your house and animals. The organic veggies were also much appreciated!
Such a memorable sit! Being with the boys it was such a wonderful experience. We didn't expect to connect that much with such an amazing kitties like Wooster & Jeeves. They both have such strong and different personalities, it's fun to see. Jeeves likes all the attention and cuddles he can get. Wooster, on the other side, likes peace and quiet (and food). Normally Jeeves will come to you in the morning and cuddle with you until you get up, so cute. They're very easy to take care of and you won't get bored with them at all. We miss them so much! Anastasia & Yurii were very attentive and kind with us! They welcomed us a day earlier with very yummy Russian delights and did a complete house tour, which was very helpful. They were communicative since the beggining and answered all the questions we had. Their house is on a very quiet neighbourhood. There's a lot of shops, supermarkets, beaches and things to do around with very short distance by motorbike. We were able to do so many things thanks to this family, including snorkeling which we'll never forget! Honestly, one of the best experiences we've had so far. We would've loved speding more time with adorable Jeeves & Wooster❤️ We're very thankful with the opportunity and hope we can meet again in the future!
It was a delight to house sit for Jo and Laurie and their two little doggies, Paris and Mia. The dogs are super cute and easy to care for, and the house is lovely and comfortable, and well-positioned for all your shopping needs. Jo and Laurie are wonderful, welcoming hosts. I write this review after being away from Slinky and Kaia for two days. I truly miss them and I can’t wait to see them again. As a writer, I jotted this down during my stay: Slinky & Kaia. In between sleeping about 17 hours a day, Slink likes taking meandering sniffs, me enjoying her as a pillow (as she rests too) and resting her head on my leg (as…you got it…she naps more. Kaia enjoys her space, but often gives me kisses and puts her paw on my foot while I work—letting me know she’s ready for pets and adoration. This home is located in a quiet spot close to hiking and it feels like I stepped inside an oasis of clay California roofs amidst mountains. As I built my business and worked on manuscripts, life with “the girls” felt simple and easeful. I had everything I needed and so did they. I hiked in the surrounding mountains and swam in the full-sized neighborhood pool. Most importantly, I loved these dogs who delight in scratches, walks and quality time. I appreciate the Trusted Housesitters questions like “did you have all the information you needed before the sit?” I’ve had incredible experiences with this site. My communication with JJ and Jamie and them making sure I had everything I needed was simply—NEXT LEVEL. From our first conversation, it was clear that they loved their pets and wanted the best for them (of course) but they also cared about my well-being and quality of life during the experience. I hope other hosts can read this and know what a life-giving experience this can be. Especially when doing out of state sits, having the support of supplies and hospitality makes a huge difference and JJ and Jamie should write a TH blog on how to create a peaceful and successful sit for all involved. The “Js” as I like to think of them, made sure I received every communication and I felt comfortable offering the same. For example, before the sit, I received this thoughtful, informative and supportive communication: “We wanted to let you know that Kaia has a little cyst on her neck that opened up. We took her to the vet today and they gave us a 7 day course of oral antibiotics and spray to put on it, and we have a little neck warmer over it to prevent her from scratching it. We will make sure to go over everything with you and add it to the instructions tomorrow but please let us know if you have any questions about it!” Here is another example of their beautiful communication pre-sit: “We are excited too! Let us know if there’s anything you need from us in the lead up! I’ve been writing out our instructions and I’m happy to send them over ahead of time if you’d like!” In summary, if you ever get to take this sit, the “Js” communication and hospitality is a pure gift. I cannot wait to get to be with Slinky and Kaia again. I can work from anywhere and these girls have priority! Haha <3 I’m convinced my quality of offerings to authors as they write and publicize their manuscripts only grew with Slinky and Kaia by my side as “co-workers” and cuddlers!
A wonderful sit with totally adorable Rocky/Rockstar! Such a pleasure to sit for: excellent off lead and great recall, interacts beautifully with other dogs and very lovable/affectionate. Thank you Heather for your hospitality, love your little home in such a beautiful area with so many super walks to take Rocky on especially the Thanes Walk five minutes away and Hurst Park. Would highly recommend this sit and love to come and look after Rocky again any time! Bailey, the cat, and Peach, the guinea pig easy as well.
We really enjoyed taking care of Apollo and Momo! 😊 Momo is a very calm, easy-going cat which loves cuddles but also doesn’t mind a bit of quiet time. Apollo is such an adorable, cute, calm dog. He loves cuddles, walks and he is super easy to take care of. Already missing him! The house was beautiful and clean, Lindsey and Nick were easy to communicate with and made sure we knew everything we needed to do. Thanks for this nice house/petsit.

Jack and his associate did a fantastic job looking in on my cat while I was away for a week. She is used to my almost constant presence, so it is hard for her when I am not there. But, she adapted to Jack and Michelle very well, which helped her to be less anxious. They are consummate professionals, and I would recommend them to anyone. This is my second experience with their great service, and I will be back!
My wife and I have a cat who, while adorable, is rambunctious to say the least. He's friendly around people but is picky about play and how he is petted. And I would certainly hate to leave him alone! But Jack, Michelle, and Asher take such great care of him that I've been coming back ever since we first tried out Your Pet's Best Friend while we went on a vacation. I particularly appreciate the communication I receive--daily texts, videos, and questions about what to do in certain scenarios tell me that my little furry guy is being taken care of each day he is visited. I also really enjoy that during the warmer months, Jack will water plants. Thanks to him we had some very successful tomato yields! I also appreciate that traditional peak times--Thanksgiving/Christmas/etc--are not a problem for checking up. Last minute availability is also not a problem; I've given Jack sometimes as little as 24 hours notice and he's been able to accommodate watching our cat. Jack was exceedingly professional at our first meeting, and he asks all the questions you would hope that someone watching your pet would ask. You can't go wrong if you need a sitter for the day, for a weekend, or even for a month (all lengths of time I've used him for). I highly recommend if you're looking for someone to care for your furry friends.
I have been using Jack for midday visits to my home since January of 2018. I remember when he came over for the first time to meet me and my animals. I was interviewing a few different people, and Jack was the one that exuded confidence and professionalism. I felt like I could trust him with my two rambunctious pit bulls, which required a higher degree of responsibility. The choice was pretty easy. Not only does he provide great care to the resident dogs, he is always accommodating to the many senior foster dogs that I have had over the years. He texts me after every visit, and his narratives are detailed and frequently humorous. He is proactive about holidays and asks if he is needed or not, and always gives plenty of notice for his vacations. I have no reservations about recommending Jack for pet care needs.
Your Pet’s Best Friend has been walking my dogs on workdays since 2016. I’m so happy with their services - always friendly and reliable. And most importantly - My dogs love them! I should be embarrassed to admit this, but since I don't have children, it's fair to say I treat my dogs as if they were my kids. Jack has been there for all our dog walking and pet-sitting needs. If I'm working late, it's comforting knowing our pups are getting a walk and fresh air during the day. Jack's fantastic and has always been flexible if we need a sitter for the day or overnight. Jack's affordable, quick to respond (even when I have a last-minute request), and he takes his work seriously. You can tell his love of animals is genuine and he provides little notes and updates on our pups (who took care of business, where they went) and is reliable and trustworthy. My dogs love him! And they love only the best people (actually, they love everyone and Jack is no exception).
Jack is amazing. I have a rescue cat who does not do well when I leave him for extended periods of time. Jack was SO patient and caring with my cat while I was gone. Jack takes his job seriously and would send me a daily update every morning which eased my anxiety for leaving my cat so long. Cannot say enough good things about Jack and I would highly recommend!

I can’t say enough good things about Weather or Not. As a former vet tech, I am admittedly extremely picky about the caretakers I choose for my dog. I am happy to report my dog has always been happy, healthy, and very well taken care of here. We’re given frequent updates and pictures and Lisa isn’t afraid to reach out to ask about something if she isn’t sure, which is such an important quality to have! She takes the utmost care and always wants to make sure she’s making the best choices for our girl. We moved out of state a couple of years ago and still make the drive all the way back here when we’re going away because we don’t trust anyone else with our girl. Simply the best!!

Lisa and Mike give off the distinct impression that they care for each and every dog like it's their own. My wife and I moved away from Delaware years ago but still make the hour-long drive when we travel because we don't want to leave our pup anywhere else. Whenever she's there we get frequent updates and pictures showing us how happy, healthy, and comfortable she is, which very much puts our minds at ease while we're gone.
My dogs and I had a wonderful experience with Weather or Not. Our primary care giver , Becca, provided dedicated and dependable service. Communication from her and her partner, Maggie, was consistent and detailed. They even included photos of my dogs while I was away. My dogs are spoiled and they can be difficult, especially the senior dog, who requires daily medication. My concerns were put to rest immediately with Becca's attention to detail and her messages. Weather or Not is outstanding! We have used Lisa's company for pet taxi, dog walking, and overnight boarding. Every service has been outstanding. Our dogs absolutely adore Lisa...so much so, that our pup, Piper, was totally happy to trot off for overnight boarding without even looking back once when we dropped her off. She went on to have a fun filled weekend. I have great comfort knowing that we have a team to help with dog support when we need it. Again, outstanding!

All Creatures Pet Care is first-rate. Brooke has taken care of my golden doodle since he was a puppy, sometimes for up to three weeks when I have traveled. The care is exceptional! My dog Sadie goes here for regular baths and nail clipping. She is always happy to go so I know they treat her well. She comes out smelling and looking well groomed and wagging her tail! The staff is always friendly and genuinely care for your furry baby!
Our Dalmatian, Neuhaus loves his visits so much when he sees me packing up his food & toys the whimpering begins. He really enjoys the play time with his friends and we love the Pet Cam! It makes our vacation less stressful knowing he is having fun in a safe loving environment.

Our pooch loves Best Friends like it's her second home. We've been boarding our dog here for about 3 years and the staff has always been phenomenal. Everyone is very friendly and it's a very welcoming environment. I admittedly get nervous when my dog and other dogs "meet," but she always does great at group play at Best Friends. I don't know what kind of magic they work but I get a little bit of a "training session" myself each time I chat with the staff at Best Friends when I pick her up. They're all great people and willing to provide helpful tips.
From my experience Best Friends always keeps our dog happy safe and well fed during his trips there. Anytime I have a concern or question or change in schedule they always try to accommodate. They love seeing Charlie’s face when he arrives and their new groomer has bonded with him which is not easy to do!!!
Over the past few years I boarded my dogs at Best Friends for weekend or week long stays. Having the opportunity to “check in” via video is a terrific addition to the boarding service. My dogs have always been happy when they realized they were going to spend time at Best Friends. Their reaction as we entered the doors made me feel they had a good time during previous visits. Best Friends is our ultimate doggy destination! My German shepherd Moon is so excited to attend the day camp at Best Friends, he practically pulls me through the door. Moon has such a blast playing with his furry friends and the staff who clearly adore dogs, and always comes home happy and ready to conk out for a well-deserved nap. And thanks to the clean environment - NO doggy daycare funk!! We have also used Best Friends for longer stays, and Moon always comes back the same tired, happy pup. Knowing that he is having fun and being well cared for allows us to relax and enjoy our time away.
My two golden doodles were well taken care as first time boarders by very experienced staff that were highly responsive to the individual needs of my dogs. Planning, drop off, and pick up were well coordinated and timely. I will definitely be using Best Friends Pet Hotel in the future and highly recommend their services.
Olivia is amazing with my rambunctious, reactive with strangers at home, quirky dog. She took the time to slowly get to know him and let him know her. She comes to my house to let him out now and he is excited to see her. Marty also goes to her in-home daycare and loves it! Olivia is an amazing Pet Sitter!

Trustworthy and reliable
As a very particular pet owner, I can tell you Heather is OUTSTANDING in her care for pets!! I think my Tervuren gets better care/walks from her Nanny than from me!! And as a neighbor, I see the care she takes of her overnight guests. Heather is kind, conscientious, diligent and caring. If she has a spot for your pet, take it! You will be very happy too!
Heather is the best!!! We went away for a family vacation and she came over 4x a day, she fed , walked and played with our crew of cats and dogs. She also took our one dog to his daycare. We got emails and pictures of everything that was going on during each visit. I can't say enough about how at ease we were, knowing that our fur babies were in her hands. She got to know each one of them and knew their likes and dislikes. If you are going away and need someone to watch over your "crew" ( that's what she called them) Heather is the one to call.
Terry Lynn is the most incredible and conscientious person who lovingly takes care of our cat. She takes the worry and anxiety away when we would travel. I feel completely comfortable and at ease knowing she is caring for our dear friend. She is reliable, dependable, flexible and always provides informative updates with her visits and sends terrific pics of our friend keeping her close in heart until we come home. I have a very anxious, older dog, who is unable to be kenneled. With a family trip to Disney coming up, I needed to find an alternative to a traditional boarding facility. Terry has provided us with so much more than just that. She gave us comfort and peace of mind. We did weekly daycare visits leading up to our trip so that my dog could get to know Terry and get comfortable with her. This helped so much with her anxiety. When it came time for our trip I knew that my dog was in good hands and that she would feel comfortable and safe with Terry. Terry took care of her, like she was her own and sent me daily updates letting me know how she was doing, which I loved. I will definitely continue to use Terry’s services and recommend her to everyone!
We left our 4 year old hound pit bull mix cookie with Terry knowing she will be in good hands and we could relax during our vacay . Cookie walked eagerly towards Terry - whenever we drop her off so we know she’s happy there with someone who truly cares .

Terry Lynn is very much dedicated and devoted to caring for pets - her own and yours! She scheduled a meet and greet with us for all 3 of our dogs, providing a sense of relief in leaving them overnight. She has soothing music playing at all times and easy access to the secured yard. Terry Lynn was kind enough to send us pictures and reassurance throughout the pups' entire stay. She is kind, professional, and a genuine animal lover. Terry Lynn’s critters is our dog Harper’s favorite place to be! Harper has been going to Terry’s since she was a puppy and we have had nothing but a wonderful experience. Terry is incredibly accommodating to our work schedules as my fiancé and I both work in healthcare. She loves all the dogs at daycare as her own and we are so thankful to have Terry love our Harper.
Terry took care of my 3 cats while I was out of the country for 10 days. She sent me photos, in and of itself a feat because I never expected them to come out, and communicated with me frequently. She had to have a medical procedure during this time and still made sure my cats were taken care of. I highly recommend.
Terry is a fabulous, caring pet-sitter. Our dogs, Ollie and Ellie, and kitty, Tommy, love her and she treats them like family! She did at-home visits while we were away sending texts and pictures frequently. Our kitty needs medication administered twice a day and she had no problem doing that for us. She brought in the mail and even refilled my bird feeders when they were empty. She goes above and beyond. It is such a great feeling to be able to get away on vacation knowing your pets and home are well cared for. I highly recommend Terry.
Terry is the absolute best pet sitter I’ve ever found, and truly the only non blood relative i’ve ever totaly trusted to take care of my sweet, adorable and very challenging rescue bichon, Spencer. Spencer came to me as a last-chance foster off death-row, after burning his way through shelters and foster homes. He suffered from the most intense separation anxiety- a vet even suggested putting him down at one point, to end his suffering! He came a long way with training and a behavior consult, but he never was able to shake his separation anxiety…. enter Terry. This woman made it possible for me to attend law school and work, and Spencer actually enjoyed week long stays while I vacationed out of the country. I’ve moved out of the area, but have yet to find any one as sweet, kind, caring, responsible, trustworthy and knowledgeable as Terry! your fur babies will thank you.

Jen is truly one of the best dog walkers out there. Our dog Oscar is obsessed with her - to the point where she tries to walk quietly by our house if she's going to walk our neighbor's dog so he doesn't hear her! On Oscar's first birthday, I was traveling for work and Jen took Oscar to the store to get him a birthday cake toy. It's the smaller, thoughtful things like this that make her irreplaceable in our pup's life. She also takes super cute pictures (attached) and sends an email about how each walk went. She makes leaving Oscar for work trips less hard because I know that he'll be so excited to see her when she comes for his walk!
Jen and the Shawe's team have been walking my family's dogs for 7 years or so. They have always gone above and beyond to accommodate shifting schedules, schedule or cancel on short notice, and even pick up the phone to talk about any pet concerns we might have (unrelated to them! just for advice!). My pup Ollie loves seeing his walkers and I could not do my job without the peace of mind that someone responsible will come take him out and play with him while I work. Bonus - they take the best pics of my little guy while they visit!

When we first moved to Philadelphia, our dog was very shy and timid around walkers that we would hire through various apps, but then Jen came and saved the day. She goes above and beyond to make Benji comfortable and now he gets excited when we just say her name. They send photos and updates during the walks, they make scheduling so easy and they are very accommodating! We have also had positive experiences with a few other members on her team! I’ve used Jen and her walkers for over 5 years now and I honestly would never use any other dog walking service in Philly. She is trustworthy, reliable, AND LOVES all of her dogs. And my dog absolutely loves her dog walkers, as I’ve been able to see a couple times when my dog will go running toward them, tail wagging if we happen to bump into them on the street. Jen uses an easy-to-use app to schedule walks/pay invoices and to see the daily walk reports which is super convenient. Also Jen makes herself available for every client and will always try her best to accommodate any late requests - I can’t tell you the number of times I’ve had to put in a last minute request for a same-day dog walk or for an overnight stay the week-of and Jen will always make it work. Aside from that, it’s great to get pictures of my dog on her walk while I’m at work - I truly never have to worry Sophie when I’m not at home because I know she’s in such great hands. Jen and her team has been taking care of our dog since he was brought into our family as a puppy! From consistent walks, amazing walkers and just all around dog people to overnight stays, she has been there for us throughout his life (and will be for the many years yet to come)! Jen is understanding and flexible with last minute changes, which for us happen a lot! Her walkers leave a note about their walk every time and even text/call us from time to time with updates. I have never noticed a thing out of place in out of place after a walker left. The Shawe's Paws team is the only team I trust to take the best care of our dog! Jen has been in my dog's life for years (even though we've since moved to the suburbs.) She and her staff are flexible, reliable, and they LOVE their charges/pets. They truly understand my quirky, sweet dachshund and he loves them for it. He even got to sleep over Jen's house!! Jen is super responsive and capable and she chooses excellent staff members. I could go on and on, cannot recommend highly enough!
