Heather was a pleasure to have in my home to care for my two dogs. She was interested in the fine points of their care, food, medicine, sleeping etc, with complete acceptance of their routine. Heather communicated with me daily about her day and her day with the pups, along with adorable photos so I knew what was going on at home. Before leaving, I went over a few household items, such as trash out days, yard clean up after the pups, etc. there was not an issue with following these directions. I travel alot for ski clinics, and there have been prior issues. But not at all with Heather. She was sweet and kind to me and the pups, let me know if there were food issues with the pups, if we were running low, or if one of my pups did not finish his food with medication. Also, Healther took immaculate care of my home. Sheets and towels were washed, kitchen and bathroom were cleaned. I appreciated her level of care, especially arriving home after a long travel day. I was able to come home to a perfect house, along with a thank you note from Heather. Also, Heather left me a de-brief text. Wonderful housesitter!!! I welcome Heather back next ski season....

Molly was terrific. She took care of Quinn and my home very well. Home was left as clean as when she came. She sent pictures everyday which was great. She commented on how easy and cute Quinn is to take care of. I would definitely have Molly pet sit. She's wonderful.

Ash was an excellent sitter and I absolutely recommend her! She was thorough in asking questions pre-sit, which translated into a smooth transition into caring for our senior cat, who needs daily medication (pills) and a watchful eye due a to recent health scare. She sent regular updates and handled an unplanned change in his care when he needed daily ointment for a wound (the wound was his doing). Ash picked up his medication, spoke to the vet staff to ensure she understood treatment, and sent me regular updates on his healing. Beyond that, she also sent regular general updates as asked and took great care of our apartment and plants. Ash left the apartment in beautiful condition as well, allowing us to come home from a long trip away and feel less stressed about cleaning, washing sheets, etc. She even communicated with our landlord when the tub drain backed up.

Mary is a very experienced sitter and took great care of our 2 somewhat high maintenance Yorkies and our house. We would definitely ask her to sit again

We really appreciated that Gwen & Bob were experienced sitters and that they didn't seem at all fazed at the prospect of taking care of an old dog with an unusal diet. We also liked that they seemed to be happy to be visiting DC. We feel very fortunate to have connected with them. And our standard poodle Obi was calm and cool as a cucumber on our return.

Tanya was a great sitter for our two cats. They were healthy and happy when we returned home. She was a good communicator and reliable. She also took great care of our plants! They were all flourishing upon our return.

I had the pleasure of having Tracey and her two children as house sitters, and I can't praise them enough for the incredible job they did. From the moment they stepped into our home, it was evident that they were dedicated, caring, and attentive to every detail. First and foremost, Tracey's approach to caring for our house and our beloved pets was nothing short of excellent. She has an innate ability to connect with animals, and it was clear from the daily updates and photos that our pets were happy and thoroughly pampered. The house was kept in immaculate condition, and they treated it with the utmost respect as if it was their own. Moreover, Tracey demonstrated remarkable responsibility and initiative when our AC system unexpectedly broke down. Without hesitation, she arranged for an HVAC company to come and fix the issue, taking time from her day to ensure our home was taken care of. Her willingness to front the repair costs until I could reimburse her was an act of kindness and trust that you rarely see. Tracey and her children's thoughtfulness and thoroughness provided me with peace of mind during my time away, which is priceless. I returned to a home that was just as I left it, if not better. Their stay was characterized by an extraordinary level of care and I was particularly impressed by how they left the house in perfect condition, with happy pets to welcome me back. I wholeheartedly recommend Tracey to any future hosts. Her reliability, compassion, and the ability to handle unexpected situations with grace are commendable. I would welcome Tracey and her children back to house sit in a heartbeat – they are exactly the kind of house sitters that one hopes for on this site! Thank you, Tracey, for everything. Katrina watched our 4 cats & house for six days in January. She not only is a 5-star sitter on every level, she also sent us incredible photos (some in our profile now, with her permission), and gifted us a no-anxiety trip. In addition, we had recently adopted a new puppy who had taken a lot of attention away from the cats. When we returned they had adjusted so much better with all the attention Katrina gave them (no pup around), and since then our integration of pup with cats is going better as a result. Highly recommend Katrina for upcoming sits.

Victoria and Hayden did a fantastic job of looking after my two aging kitties while I was away for two and a half weeks. I was particularly grateful to have such reliable sitters as one of my babies has reduced kidney function and needs extra attention and dietary supplements. Victoria and Hayden managed to give him a paste (which he hates and struggles to get away), and fiber powder (which he is also not super keen on and thus needs some coaxing) every day while I was away and never expressed any difficulties. At one point, Bailey was eating less than normal and they let me know and together we tried another approach to get him interested in his food again (which worked and they let me know how he was doing). Communication was good before, during and after the trip. I really appreciated Victoria and Hayden making the extra effort to arrive the day before my departure so that we could meet and go over the cats' routine together. It was immediately evident to me that they would take good care of my two kitties and look after the house, and that is exactly what they did! Not only did Victoria and Hayden do a good job cat and housing sitting, but they were also incredibly understanding when the hot water heater stopped working and we were unable to find a solution to the problem working together over the phone (indeed it ended up needing to be completely replaced!) Overall, a great experience for both the kitties and me and I hope they come back again in the future!

Jennifer is an excellent sitter. She's incredibly flexible and communicative. She's also a kind person - we spent a little time together while she was in town. She had planned to sit for me, and my cat had a medical emergency which forced me to cancel my trip. She was gracious and kind about this, and accepted a sit I connected her with close to mine where she cared for an older dog. Here's what the dog's parent had to say about Jennifer: "Jen was great. She was responsive and kept in great contact. Everything was clean when I returned. [my dog] seemed in good spirits." Both of us would absolutely have Jennifer come and petsit/housesit again. You can invite her to care for your pets and home with confidence.

Jake and Briana are fabulous. We were away for 7 weeks, and we did not have to worry at all about anything back home. It is reassuring when you can relax and not have to worry about anything. They spoiled our pets rotten, they got so much love, walks and cuddles, to the point where I actually think the dogs were depressed when they left. I would welcome Jake and Brianna into my home again anytime even if it's not for house sitting just as the friends, I feel we have become. I highly recommend them.
