Dog Sitters in Whakamarama

Max and Sarah have been fabulous looking after our beloved Beau and our home. They communicate well and clearly enjoy Beau as much as we do. We will use them again without hesitation.

Nicola and Neil stayed with Guinness and took great care of him. He was coming to the end of healing from a fight injury when they arrived and they were unfazed about keeping an eye on it. Our home was clean and tidy when we got back and they even left us some chocolate from New Zealand! I would definitely recommend then to look after your home and your pets as if they were their own.

Greg and Sally were just great. We didn’t have a great deal of face to face contact but everything went fantastically well. We even stayed away an extra night thanks to Greg and Sally. Max and Ruby loved their company. The contact prior to the sit and during the sit was great. The house was spotless on our return. A flawless sit. Maybe one day we can meet up again in New Zealand. Who knows? Thanks to you both x

We had arranged a last minute house/pet sit with Francisca and Francesco and they were really accommodating and flexible. So lucky that they were interested in staying in the area on their time off! Their experience with pets really shows in the way they cared for our pup Kiri, she's a picky eater so they provided good updates on her food pretty regularly, daily as we'd requested then when we got busy at least on every other day. They even unprompted bathed her as she'd gotten really dirty while playing. I didn't go over grooming the pup with them as we were only gone 2 weeks, but as for her happiness and well being, the photos and videos we got regularly evidenced just how carefully attentive they were. They showed to be handling things well and taking initiative to care for our precious pup, taking her on their own exploration around the town. Also found they followed house instruction as well as cleaning up and after themselves. Considering everything, was really grateful for their patience and communication. Really good experience with the both of them, lovely kind and warm people and hope to see them by our town again soon!

Huia and Max were so incredible and they were such lifesavers when our other housesitters had to back out of a 3 month sit with only 2 weeks notice. It was clear from our first video chat that they would be the perfect pair to come and take care of our pets and house for such a long duration. They provided us with the reassurance we needed that they had the experience and responsibility to take care of everything. They went above and beyond and left everything even better than when they arrived. Our dog Mowgli who has a history of reactivity, aggression and over-excitement in certain situations was perfectly well cared for and managed throughout their stay. We were even more anxious about leaving him, as he had undergone emergency abdominal surgery just before Huia and Max arrived but they had no problem navigating his medical needs as he healed, his (many) allergies and medications on the day to day. Once he was fully healed they were able to give him lots of great outdoor adventures to keep him fit, healthy and mentally stimulated. Huia has an amazing green thumb and left our 70+ indoor plants and front and backyard/ flower beds looking incredible, she was even kind enough to plant some trees we had intended to before we left. Their communication throughout was great, very responsive and gave us updates and photos/ videos of Mowgli whenever we requested. They were also kind enough to take us to the ferry when we left, pick us up from the airport and have a lovely dinner waiting for us upon arriving back after a very long journey. Our fish was also well taken care of! ❤️ We’re so appreciative of the time, energy, care and love they gave to our house, property and our pets! Anyone needing a reliable, friendly and responsible couple to look after your home or pets these are your people!

I wouldn't hesitate to ask Leah to housesit and cat sit for me in the future. Nothing was a problem for her, she bonded well with my pet and sent progress reports from time to time.

Josiah was so great with our dog and cat. He was great at communication and cleaned up after himself as well. Our cat is older and he was confident and efficient at giving her all of her medicine. He was truly a joy and we would absolutely have him back!

Mark was a great sitter. Good communication, willing to meet us prior to going on holiday and focused on giving our two cats the care they needed. Mark sent us some pics of the cats relaxing with him and the house was spotless when we got home. We couldn't have asked for more. Thanks Mark. Sue and Adrian were AMAZING housesitters, the best we've had. From the get-go they were communicative, flexible and thorough. They worked with us to ensure that our sweet pup had optimal care and were so thoughtful in their questions. It's clear they love animals and know how to prioritize their needs! They are super active and took her on many long hikes with them - so if you have a pup that needs some activity definitely work with them! We came home to a sparkling clean house, always a treat after a trip away, and a happy and tired pup. Can't ask for anything more!!!

It was a pleasure to have Rachael at my home. First of all, we organised her arrival very smoothly, in less than 24 hours. She took great care of my home (that has never been so clean and ordered) and spoiled my cat Noushi. I usually leave my dog with a local dog sitter if I am away, as it is a big hunting dog, but Rachael volunteered to walk it and brought it to the forrest for big hikes, so even my dog was delighted to have her here. She made friends with a lot of people in my village and has become a local. She is very reliable, and I highly recommend her. Thank you so much Rachael for your kindness, Cheers Charlotte `

Mary and her family were great house sitters and it was a very good first experience for me on Housesitters! They were reliable and maintained good contact with me throughout, giving little updates in Carrot our kitten. When we got back to the house it was beautifully clean, sheets washed and my bed made up with clean sheets. All very nice to come back to!

I can't recommend Donna and Tony highly enough. They were absolutely brilliant and I didn't have a moment's concern leaving them in our house nor with our twelve and a half year old retriever. I would definitely use them again if they would like to come!
