We came to the sit right after one of Theresa’s friend’s sat the house. The house was a little messy but her friend explained that the vacuum didn’t work so well. There was construction across the street which made the house dusty so we cleaned daily. Sitting Happy and Tom Cat was lovely. Tom Cat is really such a cool cat, he loves to play and hangout. We made sure to clean his litter box twice a day (he pee’s a lot!). Happy is a sweet girl, she just wants to be pet and cuddle a lot. The garden is beautiful. It took us about 45 minutes to water every morning, but it’s quite meditative! The house feels like a cottage paradise, secluded and peaceful. A car is definitely necessary because the house is in the hills so it’s not walkable at all. The closest coffee shop was a 25 minute walk down the hill. Overall, we’re really grateful to have been able to house and pet sit Happy and Tom Cat! Thank you for trusting us! 💛💛💛
I had such a great time watching the crew at Tracy's place in Waldorf. Though it was still in the process of being unpacked and renovated I was able to find everything I needed without much trouble. The house is spacious, incredibly clean, and on its way to being a very well-loved new home. There was plenty of room to hang out, especially when factoring in the back deck with its peaceful view of the lake. Tons of waterfowl and nature just outside, which includes some expectant and hungry geese. The human children were an absolute pleasure to meet. Tracy herself is super organized. Communication was easy, whether over video chat or text. Instructions on pet care, house details, and the surrounding areas were all very clear. They've done this before! As a single woman I felt completely safe and at ease, and would not be at all concerned to stay there alone for a longer period of time. Everything you need is a short drive away: parks, shopping, restaurants, and a ton of grocery stores. I had a wonderful time checking out all the antique and thrift stores in the area. I would hesitate to take this sit without a vehicle, but with rideshares and deliveries it certainly seems possible. Finally, the animal children were all fun and charming in their own ways. Kiri was absolutely a classic cat and thus pretty much uninterested in my presence. Iida is a GORGEOUS blue-gray chatty boy who loves pets, butt scratches, and being picked up and cuddled. He is interested in going outside or into the garage, so watch out for that. Simon is a darling little dumpling -- surprisingly dense for such a small guy -- and if he's not in your lap or bed, is guaranteed to be underfoot. If there is any attention on offer he's right there to make sure he's included. Finally, Jackson (my love) is a chill old dude with the sweetest smile and disposition. He's great with his meds, so totally doable for one person to handle. He does like to bark at passerby and joggers, and because of that can get a little riled up when out for a walk. Otherwise he's pretty laid-back and doesn't let his allergies or creaky joints affect his mood. A role model for sure! Thank you again for letting me soak up the love in your home!
We fell in love with Biana and Rocco! Fantastic dogs, home, and location!
Barbara was a great host and her home had everything needed for my comfortable, albeit short, stay. Instructions and communication made things easy, and the location was perfect and offered access to all amenities. Looking forward to returning and getting down to the lake. Sunny was a treat to hang out with and warmed up to me quickly... Easy to care for and good company! Thanks Barbara & Sunny!
Had an amazing weekend in Colorado Springs with Spirit! Chad and Kristin are amazing hosts and everything went smoothly! Their house was spotless when I arrived and the location near Garden of the Gods is ideal! Spirit is a such sweetie pie and the easiest dog to care for! He’s also so soft and fluffy 😍Thanks again for letting me stay!
