We loved our stay at Diana and Bens house although that should read Buda and Tiggers house ;) . We were made very welcome in this beautiful part of Kent. Buda our fist Vizsla is a lovely dog, great on hikes always kept us in view and very responsive with a fascination for pebbles.... a bit of a sweetie for sure....cuddles a plenty. Tigger like most cats rules the roost and also loves a lap. We would welcome another sit, a big thankyou again to Diana and Ben
This sit was very special. The family are all very kind and lovely people. The hens are all hilarious. The house is really bright, airy and comfortable. The pool is great and feels like an infinity pool because of its location. The wildlife is wonderful, especially the cockatiels and parrots. And then there is the VIEW. I was there for five weeks and hardly ever left home because of it. The nearby beach is also really nice, the town has some nice cafes and shops and there is plenty of good bushwalking from home and in the very close National Park. Perfect
I just finished a wonderful sit close to Faro. It was a lovely property with an amazing view towards the ocean, as well as a lovely pool for my morning bath and cooling when needed on warm days. It was practical for me to only have the basement flat to tend to, as I was a solo sitter. I enjoyed the time with a wounderful animal family including beautiful Olivia, Faby and handsome Cookie in lovely harmony, and their sweet Cat sibling Tipex, a very special and loving cat. They are all so affectionate and sweet, and very easy to handle and to be around. Of courser the «connection» was not so personal with Arthur, Bull and Isotta as they stay in their sat place, and do what tortoises do, but all the dogs joined me for the daily feeding rutines with the tortoises. It was said I need a car to get around for this sit, but I chosed to walk and take local buses and Uber when needed, as I like to slow down, get around like the locals and get some extra walks when I can. It took about 15 min to walk to the big supermarket MAR-Shoppinng, with many nice places to take a coffe or grab some food in the food court at MAR center. I got an overview over bus time table from the information desk at MAR shopping, as the buses pass by next to the parking area at the center. I had regular trips to Faro center and Loulė in addition to Olhão a few times. I enjoyed my stay in the Faro area a lot. I felt I had good communication with Federica during the entire stay, and would love to return if we find maching time for another sit again in the future. Thanks to the sweet animal family and Federica for a lovely time .. Love Øivind
The neighborhood is an oasis of calm away from the DC bustle but it is easily reached with ride shares or amazing public transit. I had great communication with globetrotting Holly, who’s a loving mother to her two babies. Spunky and curious Wyatt loves to explore every park, tree, and blade of grass. He’s all bark and snuggles. Pretty Juno has the sweetest nose spots and wispy fur. I couldn’t help but stoke her snout frequently. She is beautiful!
Looking after Dee and Chris's animals was a joy! The dogs are some of the best dogs we have ever looked after, well trained, affectionate and just great to be around! We also loved looking after all the other animals, it's not often you get to kiss Aplaca's and cuddle up to goats on a daily basis. Chris and Dee are great home owners who made us feel very welcome and spent a lot of time explaining the needs of all the animals. Their home is lovely and after a long day it's great cuddling up with the cats and dogs in front of the fire. I would recommend this house sit whole heartedly to any future house sitters.
Charlie is such a sweet puppy! She’s well behaved (for a puppy) and very energetic! We went on multiple hikes with her and enjoyed our stay in the magical Black Mountain. Donna left her beloved house to us and it was such an easy stay. There’s everything we needed and it was all really nice! We miss cuddling with Charlie and playing with her in the backyard. Thank you for this amazing opportunity!
