We cannot reccomend this sit enough! Lavinia and Andrew are the loveliest people you'll ever meet, and their dogs are very sweet and cuddly, in addition to being easy to take care of. The property itself is easy to look after and it's located in beautiful Blair Atholl, surrounded with nature. Note: If you're working while you're there, the wifi can be a bit unstable.
Vivien and Mark are just a lovely couple. Really friendly and had left comprehensive notes on the welcome guide. We were able to meet up in person too prior to the sit as we were only 15 minutes away at Richmond during our previous sit. Their home is large, spacious and Vivian’s kitchen is well designed and has everything you would ever need as she is a great chef and even has a small library of cook books! It’s located just a few minutes walk from the high street with cafes, bars, restaurants and food shops. Also, right next to the Thames and we spent most days walking along the riverside in the sunshine. Zoe is the sweetest little cat, who is so affectionate and easy to care for. If not on her heated blanket, she will seek you out for a cuddle and sleep on your lap. A sit in this immaculate home comes highly recommended to our THS colleagues and you will have a great time. Kind regards Steve and Jo
Communication with Tom was excellent from the outset, and our WhatsApp Group made it easy to communicate with both Tom and Cristina from pre-sit through to the end of our stay. They replied very quickly to each query we had, and were both keen for us to be comfortable in their home. Even though renovations are ongoing, the home is clean, well-organised, and comfortable - and everything is in working order. No work was being undertaken at the time of our stay, and all building materials were out of sight. Bruce is a very cute young cat who was timid at first, but was gradually won over by treats between his regular feeds. Even though he was nervous on our first day, he allowed us to scratch his head and stroke him. He then became more relaxed and confident each day - and given a lengthier period of time, we’re certain he’d be quite the little companion! Surbiton is a great little town with much to commend it in the way of excellent cafés, pubs, restaurants, grocery shops, and transport links. The River Walk is easily accessible on foot from the town centre by taking Claremont Road to The Crescent to Grove Road. If the River Walk is new to you, you’ll be delighted by its natural beauty, the wildlife encounters, and the myriad of pubs and restaurants along the way to the historic market town of Kingston upon Thames! Note to Sitters: If you’re arriving in Surbiton by train, take the far left staircase from the front of the station to cross over the tracks, then follow the Google Maps directions to Surbiton Hill Methodist Church. As the shortcut from there to their home isn’t shown, ask Tom to meet you in Shalston Villas, the narrow no-through road that runs directly alongside the church.
MIchael and David are very welcoming and warm people, who will make sure you will have a pleasant stay. Vasco is playful and a good sleeper at the same time. He loves to do tricks for treats and to do some exploring of the streets in his neighbourhood. We enjoyed our time with Vasco, and hope that we can take care of him again in the future.
Everything was great! Sophie and Ricciardo are super welcoming, I met with them beforehand to get to know the dogs, and they showed me everything around the house. Their home is lovely and very sunny and warm, I instantly felt good there. It is also very well located and central, so you can easily do a lot from there. I miss Tucker and Cooper already after one day! Cooper is super chill and will even sit next to you while you practice yoga without jumping all over the mat like all other dogs I have met before. I loved snuggling with both of them on the couch and taking them on walks at the nearby reserve, they also sit quietly in the car if you need to take them further out. Really really amazing stay at the house and great time taking care of Tucker and Cooper! Would repeat any time I can!
Harley and Muppet were so sweet--it was fun spending time with them. Prior information from Rebecca was very helpful, and communication was excellent during the stay. I felt very welcome and comfortable, and the neighborhood was very walkable, minutes to grocery stores and restaurants nearby. I'd be glad to do a repeat in the future!
