Brenda was a lovely Housesitter! She was very easy to communicate with, took great care of the house, and sent cute pics hanging out with my cat. You would be lucky to have her stay at your home.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Yvan and Lisa's home. On arrival they made us feel very welcome and gave us a comprehensive tour of the house so we knew where everything was and how it all worked.

Izumi and Tonka have very different, but equally endearing characters, and we were sad to leave them at the end of our stay. They are wonderful company and love people. The chickens were no trouble at all and very easy to care for.

The house itself is very comfortable, is in a beautiful setting and is the ideal place to relax and recharge. All in all it was a real privilege to care for Yvan and Lisa's pets and home!

For two weeks I had the upmost pleasure to stay at Lizs' home to care for Sophie and Pepito. Upon arrival Sophie greets with typical protector greetings (while wagging her tail). A couple treats and sniffs are had and you're friends for life, heh. She is truly such a sweet and lovely dog, it's almost distracting. A very playful personality, affectionate, and quite adorable in pretty much everway. I would often find myself having to pause from my work just to give her some love because she just so damn cute! Irresistible.

She is FANTASTIC on her walks. Excellent on a leash and, at least for me, has zero issues with other dogs and animals that we pass by. Couldn't ask for better behavior on a leash/walks. She does like co-sleep which I certainly don't mind. Warms up the bed before you get in and is like having a big hot water bottle. She sleeps in too (Pepito on the other hand...lol).

Pepito is quite independent but is a very friendly fella. He's happy to receive pats and scratches, even if sometimes there are ulterior motives (treats). He stays inside but I never had to worry about him getting out. He's very content with his indoor status. Even though he knows how to throw his weight around, you don't have to worry about any aggression from him at all. Very friendly indeed.

Lizs' house is a very nice harmony of old meets new (cool doorbell on the side entry and other little things in the house). Probably my favorite living I've been on for sits. It just invites you to lounge on the couch with a book and hang with the animals. Spent hours there with my leisure time. The side deck was a great bonus as well. The weather was warm so I could enjoy sitting outside with Sophie. Not warm enough for the very cool, and private, outdoor shower though unfortunately. Sophie is a real hoot playing with as well in the yard area.

Liz was great with communication, and was as accommodating as possible to make things easy as can be. Awlawys grateful for said thoughtfulness. Holyeoke is short drive south of Northhampton, Amherst, etc. The beauty of Western MA goes without saying. To say the least I HIGHLY recommend Lizs' home and the company of Sophie and Pepito. Just the ideal sit thought and though. Absolutey lovely.
Thank you Liz!

Kate
Scott and Kate are a charming couple both generous and patient. They made me feel welcome in their lovely home which was made even more beautiful with Kate's artwork. I was encouraged to sightsee and loaned a cute car for two weeks.

This amazing couple had hot soup delivered to me upon learning I was under the weather. How kind is that? I was treated to a yummy Korean meal on my last night in Los Angeles.

Soft Isaac and cautious Gerard play well together. Isaac really enjoys time with a ribbon wand. Both cats have healthy appetites and allow each other time to finish off their food. It is obvious that Kate and Scott love them and care about their well-being.

It was a pleasure sitting for these handsome boys and spending time in the company of their loving parents.

Sarah & Jim
A lovely weekend caring for two cats, three chickens and pond fish. On arrival we had a friendly welcome from Sarah and Jim who gave us a tour of the house and garden. The house is clean and modern with lots of character and picturesque views of hills, treetops and meadows. There are many outbuildings and the garden is beautifully landscaped with two ponds, vegetable patch, woodland area, tennis court, skate ramp and chicken run. The guest bedroom and bathroom are comfortable and freshly renovated. There are plenty of board games, toys and books to use. The black cat Carlos is quite timid and kept to himself, coming in at nighttime.
Mimi was nervous to begin with but once used to us enjoyed playing, being stroked and relaxing with us on the sofa. During the day the cats have their favourite spots to relax in the garden. If both return home in the evening the cat flap can be closed for the night. The cats are fed one scoop of dry food each in the morning and same again in the evening, with water topped up throughout the day. The fish in the pond are fed pellets once a day. The three chickens have automatic food and water dispensers and automatic coop door so they just need egg collecting and a handful of corn in the afternoon. The house is in a countryside location, five minutes drive away from Rowlands Castle village where there is a brilliant play area, Londis shop, cafe, pubs, hardware store and village green. Overall, a stunning home and easy, self-sufficient and low maintenance animals to keep an eye on.

Jane & Daniel
Our cat sit with Olive was a great experience. Communication with Jane was prompt and information was helpful. The house is beautifully decorated, comfortable and well equipped. Lovely garden area to sit in and enjoy. Olive was just so gorgeous. Such a loving girl who enjoyed playing and cuddling and was great company. The location is ideal for visiting London and the nearby areas with public transport close by. Would love to sit again. Highly recommend this sit.

Sophie
This has been the most difficult review I have had to write in nearly five years using THS. I met Sophie and her cats, Theo and Louie, on June 21, one day before my sit started, so she could give me all the necessary instructions and show me the apartment. We got along well, and the next day at 9 am, I was there to take care of the cats. Everything was going well, and Sophie was happy with how I was looking after them. I sent videos and pictures, and we chatted regularly.

However, on the night of June 23, I made a significant mistake. After my last stroll, I did not close the apartment door properly. This led to me finding the door slightly open the next morning, with Theo missing from the apartment. I searched the corridor and downstairs and eventually found Theo on the 3rd floor (the cats live on the 4th floor). I found him around 8:40 am, meaning he spent approximately 40 minutes outside. I brought him back, and he seemed normal. I spent the morning and noon with them.

I considered informing Sophie about the incident but chose not to as Theo appeared fine, which was another mistake. Around 2 pm, I went for a walk and to get some groceries. I did not have internet access outside as my SIM card was not working properly, which Sophie was aware of. At 4:40 pm, I connected to WiFi at the supermarket and received several messages from Sophie, who had been trying to contact me since 4 pm. She asked me to call her immediately, as her landlord had sent a picture of Theo outside on the 3rd floor from 8 am. She was understandably upset and confused.

I called her and explained everything, confirming that Theo had been brought back in the morning and that both cats were currently in the apartment. Sophie and her mother were quite upset. She asked me to pack my things and leave, and that her boyfriend would meet me at the door to collect the keys. I complied and met her boyfriend at the building entrance 10 minutes later. We both went to the apartment, where he checked that both cats were there and okay. I packed my things while feeling deeply regretful for my mistake. Sophie’s boyfriend waited on the couch as the apartment is small, which made me feel uncomfortable. After packing, I asked to use the WiFi for a few minutes to figure out my next steps. I contacted THS customer support and sent Sophie one last message apologizing and sending a video of Theo from that morning. She did not respond, which is understandable.

My sit was originally scheduled from June 22 to June 29, but I left on June 24 around 5:30 pm. All the facts I have stated are verifiable as the building has cameras on each floor.

I take full accountability for my mistake and will learn from it for the future. Sophie, I'm diply sorry for left you down and don't do my job as a pet sitter as it was required. I hope you don't stop giving other pet sitter the opportunity to look after your cats just because of your bad experience with me.
