Warren and Joyce
What a wonderful week we had at Warren and Joyce’s house, we thoroughly enjoyed our time there with Chelsea and Lacey.
Communication was great and Joyce had everything so organized, with all the instructions and contacts we could need. They really thought of everything. Upon arrival at the house we were warmly welcomed and given the full tour with last-minute reminders and instructions, and we even went for a bit of a walk together with the dogs to get acquainted.
Not having great expectations for the weather in November we were surprisingly blessed with an abundant early snowstorm. Walking the snowy trails along the escarpment with the dogs was fun and Warren and Joyce were even kind enough to loan us their snow shoes.
Chelsea and Lacey were really easy to care for. They were very familiar with their routines and love their treats. Lacey is very snuggly and loves attention. Soft and sweet, Chelsea also loves pats and tummy rubs but she is content to have a little more space too. Lacey is an early riser and lets you know she is ready for the day; her exuberance is really quite amusing.
Joyce and Warren's home is lovely and well-appointed with everything you need. We enjoyed the large gourmet kitchen with every appliance and gadget you could think of, and the cozy stone fireplace and hot tub were a perfect retreat on those snowy evenings.
The Collingwood area offers lots to see and do in any season, and we love exploring the little villages around the area. Just 10 min from the house is the Ravena store, with lovely home-baked pies and a large assortment of ready-to-bake meals and ready-to-eat goodies. The area has no end of great trails for walking or biking of any level, and a short walk from the house brings you to the beautiful vistas at the top of both Craigleigh and Blue Mountain ski hills. Interesting shops and great restaurants abound in downtown Collingwood and just minutes away at Blue Mountain Village.
It was hard to leave this pair when we went home, they are both lovely dogs. We would recommend this sit and would gladly return.
