Laurie's cats were an absolute delight to take care of! All with different personalities but all very sweet. Lady Penelope was always waiting for me in bed every night to share my bed

I think we have mixed feelings about the house sit and it’s difficult to express everything. In general we did enjoy it, Popsy is such a beautiful dog and was no doubt the highlight of everything. She is well behaved on walks, a little strong when she pulls so you have to be ready, but her recall off leash is amazing and she gets many compliments when on walks. She’s perfect with other dogs and approaches them with care. She’s a joy to walk, and we also loved playing in the garden or testing her tricks with treats. We met Kate on video call and did a walk with her and Popsy prior to the beginning of the house sit and everything went smoothly, Kate was super lovely and easy to talk to. It was only beginning the sit that we had a few issues. One of the main things was that we had no space cleared for us in the bedroom- we had a stay of nine days and nowhere to put our clothes but on the floor or just on a small bedside table. When we left the house Popsy was really well behaved, there was only two occasions when we were at home that she chewed a yoga block and then her bed. We were confused as to why she might chew things even though we were playing and amusing her during the day. We were told it might be her missing Kate and because we didn’t allow her in the bedroom which we did because of the limited space/ our stuff was on the floor. We didn’t know she was used to being in the room until Kate told us it could be the reason why she was behaving in that way. We also were not aware that the house was up for sale, so we had to be around for two house viewings as we didn’t want to leave our things on their own- this would have been helpful to know before the stay as although they did not take up much time, being in the middle of the day made it more difficult to plan our walks with Popsy and time in city as we made sure to not leave Popsy alone for long even though it takes 25 minutes to walk into the centre. In general the house was not in ideal condition as it was very dusty, especially with allergies. The kitchen is well equipped and we were told we could use anything they had at home, and the bathroom has a really great shower. Overall some parts of the communication could’ve been a little smoother and some points of the house improved. We left the house in great condition and well cleaned, and Kate and Harminder were kind upon their return and grateful for us taking care of Popsy. We will miss Popsy- she’s a beautiful dog and the walks in the area, such as the racecourse, have amazing views and we enjoyed our time with Popsy up there.

It was a delight to meet Kathleen, stay in her beautiful home and enjoy the company of gorgeous Benson. He is well trained in the home and easy to exercise and care for. No fuss canine who will warm your heart. Kathleen had a meet and greet the night prior to my sit so that Benson had met me and I was shown the set up at her home.
When Kathleen was away she would touch base every couple of days by text and was always available to answer any questions. She was a great host from afar and I would recommend this sit to any dog-lover.
