I had a good time at Tamra's very lovely home in Evanston. Her place is very nice, and even with 5 cats it was extremely clean. I admit I thought there might be some smells haha, but she has such a great system that you will not even believe there are five cats living there! Often a couple of them are hiding under the bed. Her cats are adorable and a bit skittish at first, but they warm up after getting used to you. She has such a simple system for caring for the gang, that it was one of my easiest sits when compared to even one cat households. Communication was excellent, and Tamra was very welcoming. Downtown Evanston is adorable and fun to explore, and you are about 45 min to an hour train ride from downtown Chicago. You are also close to other northern Chicago neighborhoods that are fun to explore. Recommend!
Thank you Shannon and Mick. This was a most enjoyable housesit. Shannon was easy to communicate with both before and during the week. Their home was really lovely and well organised. Bono was just a delight and was such good company and easy to manage. Poops was very independent but the last few days was always on for a cuddle. The week passed so quickly. Thank you.
Alex and her beautiful kitties were lovely, kind and helpful. The house is well kept, clean, comfortable and very convenient to stores and public transit. Alex was very helpful and accommodating. Ernest and Ethel were the sweetest 💕
Pepper and Pepita are pleasant cats to care for. Pepita is calm and docile, while Pepper, being a kitten, is energetic and playful. There are some minor issues with their bathroom habits and lack of interaction between the two, but nothing that an experienced sitter can't handle. They are both quite vocal and provide clear feedback on their preferences, so managing them should not be a problem, just be prepared for occasional issues with cleanliness. Both cats are affectionate and enjoy having someone in the room with them throughout the day. They may want to go outside, but as long as they receive enough stimulation and playtime, they will not be pushy about it. Their owners, Galen and Keely, were accommodating with scheduling and communicated well despite being away on a backpacking trip. Their home is conducive for remote work, with a yard available for relaxation. There are plenty of entertainment options such as streaming, gaming, and musical instruments. The only thing to be mindful of is keeping the kitchen clean to prevent ants, especially during the summer months. Overall, I recommend this house sit for those looking for a unique experience in Morro Bay.
I loved this housesit! Colleen and Sachi are lovely people to sit for. Good and easy communication. Clear instructions. Their 2nd floor condo is bright and spacious with an abundance of windows and views of trees and Boston off in the distance. The place is perfect. Comfy bed and sofa. Plenty of work station areas too, if needed. Their kiddos, Skippy and Dazzle, are equally great kitties. Skippy who looks like he should be standoffish with his tall regal Siamese-ish looks is actually a lovebug and enjoys pets and curling up on your lap. Dazzle is the selective one. She is a beautiful soft fuzzy loaf of a cat who only let me pet her once she deemed me worthy. Then all bets were off and we became couch buddies. Both are active cats. It was great fun to watch them tumble and zoom around the house. Highly recommend this housesit.
I had an unforgettable sit with Teddy - he is a sweetheart; he loves his cuddles, moments in the sun and trips to Crissy Field. I’d often find him snoozing on the sofa or enjoying a moment in the sun. Frances was a wonderful host - her guide on how to best care for Teddy was very helpful and clear. I was welcomed into a warm home in a safe part of San Francisco, and made use of Frances’ home office and deck. It was the perfect spot to read and catch some sunshine, and I’m grateful to have shared a moment in her happy place. Thank you for a lovely sit - I wouldn’t hesitate to be back.
