Jill and Simon were extremely warm and welcoming and immediately made us feel comfortable in their beautiful home. Jill spent a lot of time helping us to familiarise ourselves with Maple’s day to day routines which included a lovely local walk where we soon learnt how much Maple loved pheasants. Simon and Jill gave us lots of wonderful ideas for other places to visit and walk, although we were unable to tire Maple out! We also quickly learnt that Maple is super affectionate and loves a snuggle nearly as much as pheasants and squirrels.
Bruce Wayne is the sweetest boy and it's hard not to fall in love with his little "conversations" and his all around "just love being with you attitude". He made it difficult to ever want to leave him alone!!! Kelley and Lane were great communicators. They are very welcoming and their home is lovely and in a good location to walk to the nearby park or downtown (with Bruce) for a bite to eat. Highly recommend this sit!!
Cathy and Todd left clear and detailed instructions, and the cats were fun to live with. Each has their own distinct personality and comfort level with being touched. Big boy Peeper has an imperious "mrow!" when he expects his breakfast or dinner to be served, but he has a soulful gaze and is a sucker for a good chin scritch! He spends a lot of time curled up on a comfy bed or cushion, and will occasionally sit next to you and purr while you stroke his thick grey stripes. Luna is very vocal and sounds like she's urgently requesting food or petting, but she turns her back and finds somewhere else to be if you guess wrong about what she may want from you. And Stella is the shy one, who hid away somewhere until she heard the cans and dry kibble being combined in their three separate cat-food bowls. 😋
Thank you so much for letting me help with your house sit. Elliot welcomed me warmly on the day of the sit. He is kind, friendly and communicates well. Aspen, is so sweet, well trained and mature. I enjoyed walking and hiking with her everyday. There are two dog parks nearby, also Mt. Tabar park has many trails - paved road and clay road, and mostly shady. Elliot’s house is clean, well stocked and cozy. I enjoyed morning coffee time in his beautiful back yard. There are many great coffee shops, restaurants in walking distance and lots of streets have bike lanes or are bike friendly. Again, thank you so much for having me. Hope to see you again soon!
This was our first sit and what can we say, max and Wilson are just adorable. They are so well behaved we took them to the local pub (rose and crown) and they were such good boys and company. Grace was really organised and made sure we knew where everything was and made sure our stay was comfortable. The location is very quiet and the local shop is in the next village, but that was no issue. We went to Norwich one day then Cromer the next. It was a lovely peaceful stay. The dogs are just adorable. Thank you Grace.
I had a wonderful stay at Elise's and Ethan's warm and welcoming home over the 2023 winter holidays! The house was full of positive energy, thanks to the numerous plants that lined the windowsills and corners of every room, as well as the many soulful decorations throughout the home. This family clearly has a green thumb (or two!) and flare for design! Taking care of Señor Pedro and Dama Misha over the Christmas holidays was a joy! From the moment I entered the home, it was evident that these two feline companions were not just pets, but cherished members of the family. They are also quite smart, clearly understanding the command "come eat!" in their native languages (Spanish and Russian, respectively). Amazing! Elise and Ethan provided thoughtful and detailed instructions, ensuring that every aspect of the cats' routines and preferences were noted. As a result, I was able to hit the ground running and establish a rapport with the kitties right away. Misha's and Pedro's friendly and playful natures made it a pleasure to spend time with them. The experience of caring for Pedro and Misha during the holidays added to the warmth of the season; and the gratitude expressed by Elise and Ethan, upon their return, was the icing on the cake! I sincerely hope to have the opportunity to sit for Elise and Ethan again in the not-so-distant future. Couldn't recommend this house/pet sit enough!
