I was really hoping for a smooth experience with Duncan's pet care, and while Duncan seems like a nice person, there were several issues when I returned home that I feel need to be addressed. First, I explicitly stated that I did not want guests in my home, but my neighbor—who, while being a bit nosey, is generally helpful—mentioned that Duncan had someone over without my knowledge. This was quite concerning, as respecting my home and rules is important to me. Secondly, the cleanliness of the kitchen was not up to par. When I returned, I found sticky substances on the counters, around the sink, and residue left on the stove. Additionally, two pots stored in the cabinet were stained with what appeared to be the same food residue that was on the stove – one was my cast iron skillet. Cleanliness is a basic expectation when providing care, and this left me disappointed. The most disturbing issue, however, was the handling of the litter box. I had to throw away my broom and dustpan because they had been used to clean up cat waste that didn’t make it into the LitterBot because it was stuck in a cycle. It was clear that one of my cats was forced to relieve themselves outside of the litter box, and the way this was dealt with was unacceptable. Finally, Duncan notified me of a broken doorknob, which I had to report to maintenance. I later found out that it appeared to have been pulled off rather than being worn down by normal use as I assumed when I received the text. While I’m not sure how this happened, it was just another frustrating issue on top of everything else. I'm generally not picky and try to be understanding, but these problems left me disappointed with the care provided. I hope Duncan takes this feedback constructively and improves these areas for future clients.

Candace
We loved our stay at Candace’s with Max. Candace was very welcoming with a lovely home, and Max is just the sweetest. It took him a few days to fully warm up to us, but once he did Max never wanted to leave our side. He’s so playful and affectionate, but easy to care for. We would definitely watch Max again.

Mindi
Jazz is ADORABLE and has a quintessential terrier personality! She's happiest lounging atop a pillow or protecting Lambertville from alllll the other dogs. Mindi and Alan are incredibly nice hosts and were extremely accommodating. Their beautiful home was immaculate and comfortable, and is in a great location. I thoroughly enjoyed my time with Jazz and hope to see her again in the future!

Michael
My girlfriend and I were thrilled to look after Koli for two weeks while Michael and Lauren vacationed in Mexico. Highly recommend this experience!

We absolutely adore Koli; he’s remarkably well-trained and a joy to care for.

Michael and Lauren are superb hosts, making us feel welcome and staying in touch to answer any questions we had.

Their apartment is stunning, and exploring Dublin was fantastic. Everything essential, like groceries, is just a short walk away. Plus, the heart of Dublin is only a 40 minute journey via public transport!

Thanks for everything,
Mitch and Anastasia

Sarah
Sarah lives in a beautiful well kept farmhouse and gardens. It does feel quite isolated which I loved but accessible by car to local amenities.
Sarah kindly provided lunch so we could go over the dog's daily routine and any household quirks. These were all written down along with emergency contact details etc for future reference.
The dogs were very easy to look after. Sammy the rescue dog enjoyed his daily walks around the adjoining fields and footpaths.
The 2 terriers are content to wander the garden and run about with Sammy who seemed to have given them a new lease of life.
Thank you Sarah it was a joy to spend time relaxing in your home , garden and pool and to have 3 delightful dogs as my companions.

Susan
Such a wonderful pet and home sitting experience! Susan's home is lovely and super comfortable. In fact, the bed is the most comfortable ever. Susan made me feel right at home and had very clear instructions for everything. Sasha is the sweetest kitty. We connected right away, which Susan said is not always the case. It was a delight to spend time with Sasha. Her favorite pastimes are lounging in front of the gas fireplace and looking out the deck and kitchen windows. She is very easy to care. She does know her mealtimes. She might even remind you! Of course, having proximity to the beaches of Santa Cruz is awesome. During my first short sit, the weather wasn't that great. But I still liked walking along the boardwalk and pier with an umbrella. Luckily, I'm returning to pet sit again and will hopefully get some sunny days to explore more of the ocean! I can highly recommend this pet sit opportunity.
