Carly was a wonderful housesitter! She took great care of my house and pet and was very neat and communicative. If she offers to sit for you, you should accept!
I had a lovely time looking after Frankie, Mollie, Izzie and Johnnie. They are loving and affectionate dogs who love cuddles. The place itself was lovely peaceful and quite. Elaine was very communicative and welcoming as well as hospitable. Would reccomend this sit.
I spent 7 days with Kathleen and had a really nice time. Lola and Bailey are two very lovely and cuddly dogs. Lucky was rarely at home, but liked to come over for a nap and lay down next to you or on your belly. The turtles got their fresh water and freshly picked dandelions every day. It was great fun to see them in action, as they were "very" active around midday. Communication with Kathleen was very easy and she explained everything in detail so that there were hardly any questions when I arrived. You can easily reach Landau City and there are also numerous shopping opportunities 15 minutes away on foot. Or 6 minutes by bike.
I spent three wonderful weeks with Maeve 🐶 & Frida 🐱 and I truly enjoyed my time with these two sweethearts 💞 They are both very relaxed and independent at home. Maeve loves her ball over everything and I played a few time during each day with her in the garden. She also enjoys to lie next to you on the couch and be cuddled as often she can. Frida is a purring bundle of fur and is spending her day with strolling around in the house, cuddling or napping. She's very easygoing and gentle, even allowing herself to be carried around. Both get along very well! The neighborhood is quiet, and you can walk through streets and small meadows with Maeve. For those with a car, nearby beaches are easily accessible. Frederica and Nick, the hosts, are incredibly welcoming and helpful. The communication was excellent and they even ensured I was picked up from the train station. Thank you once again for hosting me. I already miss having Maeve and Frida around. Christin
Emma and Gabriel went above and beyond to make us feel welcome in their home! They were always a text message away with any questions we had and Milo and Nala were very sweet and well behaved! Milo is such a big softie who was very excited to get treats and snuggles, and was a wonderful hiking partner on the Glen Canyon Trailhead nearby! Poor Nala was recovering from and injury and had a cone on, so was very enthusiastic about face scratches. We loved meeting the animals and spending the weekend with them!
I had a wonderful stay at Hannah and Oliver's place! It was comfortable and welcoming. Luqa was well behaved and great company over the long weekend. Would love to hang out with him again!
This was a very exciting sit with such an interesting range of furry, feathery and woolly pets to look after! With 12 animals, one might think this was a demanding sit, but it was all very doable. Fergus the tortoise was quite sleepy so we just gave him some greens every day in case he woke up and had the munchies. The chickens just needed feeding in the morning but didn’t need shutting up at dusk as they had a lovely big enclosure to peck around freely. The beautiful alpacas just needed a daily visual once over and a morning feed. They were fascinating to watch. Mr Kai the parrot was a little slow to warm to us and was very quiet on the first day, but we spent several hours each day reading (out loud) to him and he soon joined in with vocal interaction. He would only eat in company and as he got to know us, his eating improved. It was fascinating watching him eat and seeing how he uses his little black tongue to get rid of the seed husks. The real stars of the show were the special cats, Felicity, Yumi and Clarance. They had the run of the house including an enclosed patio but were not allowed outside. This wasn’t a problem. Clarance would regularly check on us but preferred to sleep upstairs, while the girls kept us company downstairs. They all had quite a complex feeding regime but Matthew had left a very detailed plan that was easy to follow. The house is very old in parts and Mathew and Carl had left out a fascinating book detailing its history. The garden is quite large and if the weather had been just a little warmer it would have been a wonderful place to sit and enjoy the view. There are numerous interesting places to visit just a short drive away. The Country Life museum and the Watts artist village as well as Guildford and Farnham were worth visiting. The village pub served excellent food in cosy surroundings ( book first if you go weekend or lunchtime) with a warm welcome. Matthew and Carl were very welcoming and we made a pre sit visit which was quite important given the number of pets. On the morning of our sit, our car wouldn’t start so we quickly arranged a hire car which Matthew and Carl generously contributed to. If you love getting to know a variety of different creatures, then this is the sit for you. It would be very special in summer.
