Heather & Paul were open, friendly and approachable from our first skype conversation. Communication prior to the sit was good. They set off earlier than planned on the day to out run the forecast snow. On arrival they were keen to understand their responsibilities and get to know our animals. They kept us regularly updated whilst we were away. Unfortunately for Heather & Paul the weather was mainly wet and cold during their stay. This makes the chicken run muddy and slippy. Nonetheless the coop, nest box and feeders were kept clean and in good order. On our return our animals were relaxed and healthy, the house was immaculate and they had replaced milk, bread etc we had left for them. Thank you. We would have no hesitation in asking Heather & Paul to sit for us again.
We absolutely LOVED having Liz and Geoff looking after the dogs and chickens. To be honest if Melon or Wobble (the dogs) were writing this, they'd be crying with a sense of loss and begging Liz and Geoff to come home! It was great to be able to relax knowing that the house, dogs and chickens were in such good hands. I hope that this housesit goes beyond just that transaction and that we can go to NZ at some point.... They also took great care of the Mighty Subaru (the dog's personal limo) going off on local walks. Thanks so much and safe travels back to NZ
