Natalie Garner
We had a fantastic experience housesitting for Natalie and Mike in Newport Rhode Island.
We arrived the night before our sit and were welcomed into their home with an excellent homemade dinner. This gave us a great opportunity to sit down and to get to know each other.
Natalie and Mike gave us a very thorough tour of their fantastic home so we felt comfortable knowing how everything functioned and also learned about Cocoa’s routines and needs.
We went for a walk with Natalie and Cocoa to get acquainted with the neighbourhood and Cocoa’s fun personality.
Natalie and Mike’s home is one of the most beautiful homes we have ever stayed at. Their home is very modern and new and there are spectacular ocean views from every window. There are multiple areas to sit and relax and hang out with Cocoa. The back yard is fully fenced and a great place to let Cocoa run and play games.
Their kitchen has everything needed to cook a gourmet meal. The surrounding neighbourhood is right on the ocean and is a beautiful area to walk with dogs.
Their home is a 30 minute drive to historic downtown Newport and we went several times to explore with Cocoa. She is a great car travel dog.
Daily communication (texting) was easy and fun. Cocoa is a very photogenic dog and we enjoyed sharing all of our daily adventures with Natalie and Mike.
Cocoa: 9 month old Cocoa the bernadoodle was an absolute pleasure. Most of the time she was surprisingly mellow for her age, but she definitely loved to play and be goofy and was always very sweet. She bonded to us and Kodi bear (our toy poodle who joined us on our house sit ) very quickly and Kodi and Cocoa became fast friends. Each day we took them on new adventure in Rhode Island. They made such a cute pair that it was hard to walk and not be stopped every few minutes to have the dogs fussed over.
Overall an excellent house/ pet sit and highly recommended.
Thank you again, Natalie, Mike, and Cocoa for welcoming us into your home!

Nicola
We had a really love sit at Nicolas home. We had a quick handover but Nicola made sure we had all the info we needed to look after Kita and Hugo. Kita and Hugo were dream companions, easy to care for, with the 3 acres outside which they were happy to walk around twice a day, and just gorgeous dogs all round. They loved being wherever we were in the house, loved a good cuddle on the sofa and happy to chill with us whilst we worked. Great communication from Nicola while she was away too. Would love to sit for these guys again.

We had a wonderful time caring for ‘Ulu and Chepe, the most adorable dogs in Kona. Time flew by far too fast, and we miss our little friends. The dogs have great temperaments and became our companions from day one.
Jeff and Carmel are excellent hosts and a great couple. They invited us to come early to learn their routine and enjoy a home cooked meal with them. They were always available for questions and shared lots of ideas on what to do and restaurants to try.
The house is lovely, the bed is comfortable and the view from the lanai is amazing. Kona has so many beautiful areas to explore, but we were just as happy to spend time at home relaxing with the dogs. We would love to return one day. Thank you for such a lovely experience.

Clare and Jonathan
Clare and Jonathan were very generous and welcoming. We were collected from the station and enjoyed a lovely dinner before they left the next morning. We thoroughly enjoyed sitting for Penny, Birdie, and Pip, 3 incredibly affectionate and well-behaved dogs. The house was charming, and we immediately felt at home, enjoying the garden and the surrounding woods . A perfect sit!

Anna
We had a wonderful time housesitting for Anna and looking after Pedro.

Anna was very welcoming and explained all the details and responsibilities of the sit very clearly. She is also an amazing cook and left us some great food during our stay. Her house was incredibly clean and cozy and we liked the location a lot.

Pedro is a very sweet cat but wary around new people. He mostly stayed outside and came around to eat for breakfast and periodically throughout the day for snacks. Despite this we still enjoyed his company and were able to play with him a bit. We think with a few more days we would have earned his trust!

Overall we had a great time and would housesit for Anna again!

Sarah
I had a great time with Smudge and Sweep and felt very welcome. Sarah and her family are gorgeous. So nice and easy going. They made me very welcome. The dogs are extremely well behaved and absolutely easy looking after. The house is situated within a beautiful landscape and there is lots to explore anyway within a few miles.
