Tamara was great about communicating everything I needed to know about the house, and about Baaboo’s routine. I felt very welcome and comfortable when I arrived. It’s a lovely home with spectacular views in every direction. Lots of wildlife out the back door but easy drive to Aspen and Carbondale for all the area activities. Baaboo mostly napped in his favorite spots around the house. Occasionally, he would come sit nearby to get some scratches and he was great about letting me know when he wanted to go outside or eat.
Molly’s house is a beautiful oasis in the city. While you’re just minutes from DC, it feels like you’re deep in the Blue Ridge mountains when you’re looking through her floor-to-ceiling windows out onto her wooded backyard (that even has a creek). Bear and Grace are friendly, playful dogs. They’re routine is easy and whenever you use a firm voice, they’ll obey your commands. Bear has a little FOMO so don’t be surprised if he fights for your attention when petting or playing with Grace. He’s the more athletic of the two, so if you’re active and want to do some light jogging on your walks, he’s the dog for you! Grace is a sniffer and more leisurely in how she like to spend her time outdoors. Molly was incredible gracious and communicative. She was a great host and provided everything we needed to feel comfortable stepping into her home to care for her dogs. We’d absolutely sit for her again!
Our experience with Watson in this magnificent paradise has been incredible. Watson, the king of the house, is affectionate and loving, when he wants to be. He is very independent and will let you know when he needs something. If you always keep food in his bowl and give him cuddles when he asks for them, you will have earned his favor. The communication and closeness with Nicole and Martin have been excellent. Everything has been easy, and we felt at home even before arriving. Thank you very much for making everything so easy. Lastly, both the location and the house are amazing. It's essential to have a car to get there as the house is secluded from transportation connections, which adds to the magic and uniqueness of the place. Undoubtedly, one of the best experiences we've had, and we look forward to returning as soon as possible!
It was wonderful sitting for Charlene, Jason, Miso, and Kobe. The kitties were such a delight and Charlene was very responsive. Location was to die for. I already miss the kitties as they were 2 of the most loving, friendly, cuddly cata I've ever met. Would sit again!
I had a wonderful time at Elizabeth's. There was a little glitch getting into the house at first but after that things went smooth. Elizabeth was very generous with her food, even inviting me to an amazing dinner she cooked for her friend when she returned. Communication was good and all the basics present and I felt cared for and appreciated. The house was decorated in a fun and playful way with lots of art and colorful walls. There was also a lush garden which she invited me to pick anything I wanted to cook up or use. Rascal was extremely loving and playful from the get go. VERY high energy, goofy and absolutely adorable. Moki took slightly longer to warm to me but was also super loving and absolutely LOVED her walks. She would at times pull hard on the leash but Elizabeth explained this beforehand and it wasn't a problem for me. X and lightning were also great, X being a little sassy at times, and sometimes trying to sleep on my head. What a cute and quirky crew. I'd be happy to sit again for Elizabeth and the super duper loving animal family at "16 paws"!
Lucy and her TH pet parent were both easy to take care of (Lucy) and correspond with (Dhruv) while we was away. Perfect location, easy to maintain condo with a great view, light and airy. The rumbling of trains passing by was an added bonus for me, although not everyone might think so. I recommend a pair of relatively sophisticated disposal ear plugs of which I have several back-up pairs for use when traveling and always avaliable, just in case!
