Really conveniently situated little cottage with local shops and eateries close by and flowery meadow walks just down the Lane. Loved early morning walks on the ridge and evenings along the river nearby. Very relaxing listening to birdsong and the stream running by outside the back door and Olive was excellent company. An excellent base from which to explore the Peak District.
it was a great time in berlin and I loved it t o be around Eve - total recommendation for this cute sit!
Marlee was great! I’d absolutely recommend sitting for her if you get the chance.
We really enjoyed our 8 night stay in Vanessa and Jens' home. The house is great and we were very comfortable and at home. The area is very quiet and peaceful. Indi, the adorable cocker spaniel puppy, is full of energy but well behaved for such a young dog!
It was an absolute pleasure to care for Bird and Olive. Bird is perhaps the most affectionate cat I have encountered. If you’re on the couch, she will likely try to position herself onto your leg, lap, or chest shortly after you sit down. When she’s not basking in the sun, or observing from her perch on the top edge of the couch, Olive loves to play! I kept the rainbow wand and mermaid close by to engage her. Kit and Mark were warm and welcoming hosts. We enjoyed swapping a few stories as they gave me a tour of their home and demoed how to attend to the litter robot and how to prepare Bird and Olive’s food. Kit was a pleasure to communicate with throughout my stay. Kit and Mark’s home was very comfortable, light filled, and highly accessible by various public transit lines. Grocery stores, restaurants, and cafes are also all in walking distance. As someone who works from home, I also appreciated the desk and access to a second monitor. I would love to spend time with Bird and Olive again in the future! I can’t recommend this sit enough.
Surly and Neige were hesitant with me at first, but after some snacks and walks to the yard, they were ready for belly rubs. They were great companions who like to be in the same room just relaxing. Surly and I even explored the neighborhood a bit. David was thorough in “orienting” me and leaving good instructions. I enjoyed watching the birds and squirrels and rabbit around the bird feeder. As others have noted, the home is filled with light and artwork, with a cozy gas fireplace.
