I wish I could give this more stars! Dianne & Bill are the most beautiful people and gracious hosts. I spoke with them both via FaceTime prior to agreeing to sit and we kept in constant communication while they traveled. Dianne created a Welcome Guide at the house that truly had all the resources I needed for the home and both cats but she was always a phone call or text away. She also collected tons of resource materials for the area for me to explore. When I arrived in Kingman the evening before they left for their trip- Bill greeted me. We had a lovely dinner together and he gave me a tour of the area. The home is gorgeous. Stunning Mountain View’s will surround you from every angle. You will be immersed in the AZ landscape and wake up to bees humming, hummingbirds flying, and the sun shining. The sunsets are gorgeous from the front door. The home has a lovely pool and hot tub and beautiful gardens. Bill & Dianne have created a beautiful retreat. The star of the show is the two cats. What wonderful companions while I stayed there. Trajan may take a minute to warm up. He likes soft words and pets behind his ears. He will definitely let you know what he wants and quickly won my heart. Mogli is a doll baby who hardly ever left my side except to sunbathe outside. She is the very best snuggler, loves to cuddle a soft blanket, and makes the cutest sounds. We extended my sit by a few days and when Bill & Dianne came home, they cooked a beautiful dinner that we shared together and even gifted me with a journal for my ongoing travels. Overall, this is my absolute favorite sit by far. If you get the chance to sit for Bill, Dianne, Trajan & Mogli- definitely take it. ❤️
Scrappy was a pleasant and calm dog to hang out with and so were the cats. The location is superb for exploring beautiful Lincoln and the big garden invites for relaxing days. I would come back anytime. 👌
Wendy and Karen are a very kind couple who met me at the airport and brought me to a lovely dinner at a charming Italian restaurant in Bloomington IL. Their cats, are Rojo and Elfo named after the Christmas holidays. Very sweet and affectionate cats. The location is immersed in lush nature, miles of farm, deer, with a lovely stream nearby. The couple left a thoughtful and detailed walkthrough and notes were meticulous which made the sit easy. It was definitely a surreal retreat in nature with miles of woods, fireflies at night and many species of birds and woodpeckers. Neighbors were very friendly and warm, with some cats, and a cute hedgehog too. Highly recommended sit!
I had a lovely time in Milan with Miró. She is super sweet! She took about 2 days for her to get used to me but once comfortable with me she settled and she was very relaxed. Walking was difficult at first but once we found a rhythm it was fine. She is very strong for her age and also strong willed. An experienced dog handler will be absolutely fine. I absolutely loved her and was sad to say bye! I miss Miró! Flavia and Marco welcomed with me into their home. I felt very comfortable. In all honesty there were some areas lacking in communication due to the last minute nature of the sit. I would have preferred a pdf or printed care pack for Miró and the home. There was an unfortunate situation where by the cooker stopped working at the beginning of the sit and I was told by each of them that an electrician would be organised however that did not materialise. I had no choice but to eat takeout and or at restaurants if I wanted hot food, which wasn’t in my budget. Sometimes house sits don’t go so smoothly and that’s ok but I believe there was room for some more help with this scenario. The flat was a different one to the one advertised pictures. However it was absolutely stunning with the most incredible views. All in all Flavia and Marco were great hosts there were just a few hiccups. I had a beautiful time. Thank you 🙏
I am always grateful for the host's generosity in past sittings, but Sally took it to another level. Sally's generosity in hosting me for an extra night and cooking dinner was truly appreciated. She provided me with the most comprehensive sitter's guide, and communication before and during the sitting was excellent, my questions were answered promptly. Buster was an absolute delight to look after, and I thoroughly enjoyed spending time with him. He is such a lovable gentle dog and very well-trained because of his past career, I rarely needed a lead to walk him. The guest room I stayed in was beautiful, overlooking the Manor house grounds, and came with a comfortable bed and ensuite bath and shower. All her neighbours were very friendly, and the cleaner, Laura, was also very accommodating. I felt pampered and well taken care of throughout my stay. Sally has a great selection of spices and sauces, it was great fun treasure-hunting her condiment fridge! I had an amazing time house-sitting overall and would jump at the chance to do so again in the future. I would like to thank Sally and Martin for your trust, kindness, and hospitality.
Sitting for Caroline was an absolute pleasure. It was great to be in the countryside in their lovely home, looking after Kit the cat, the chickens and the veggie garden. Caroline is a fantastic host, ensuring I had all the necessary information, making sure I was comfortable , even getting groceries in for me .. super kind! From the moment she picked me up from the station we hit it off ... I feel like I've made a wonderful new friend and I hope I see her and Steve again. I thoroughly recommend sitting for Caroline, she's one of the best!
