Izamar
I had a wonderful experience sitting for Izamar! Each of the cats were charming and had distinct, friendly personalities! Everything was communicated clearly and thoroughly and the home was perfectly setup. The neighborhood is beautiful and in a good part of town. I would absolutely sit again, and definitely recommend this stay!

Katja and Dave
We were fortunate to be chosen by Katja and Dave to look after their much loved kitties and beautiful home. We only made a couple of trips out as we much preferred to stay in the lovely surroundings with Pixie, Frodo and Lucie for company and some good books to read. Katja and Dave made us very welcome and prepared a very nice supper for us and we were able to spend a lovely evening together before they left the following morning.

This is not a sit for party animals or shopaholics but for nature lovers and for people who can appreciate the special place that Katja and Dave have created.

Highly recommended sit and count yourself lucky if chosen.

Super detailed instructions, incredibly communicative, incredibly hospitable. The shy kitties warmed up pretty quickly and were super well-behaved. Absolutely a pleasure!

Philippa
Holly & Millie are a joy to sit. Philippa is a great host and the house is in lovely location in Lewes within walking distance to anything that you might want to do.

Lovely quaint cottage with all the amenities that anyone could ever want for a short house sit.

Highly recommend this house sit and would happily do again.

We enjoyed our time with Bandit and Brandi, two gorgeous, charismatic and very photogenic ragdoll cats.

Bandit is the baby of the family; gentle, sweet, and always ready for a cuddle. Brandi is the oldest and alpha of the two. She knows what she wants and knows how to get it! We learned to understand when her meows signaled that she needed food, brushing, or to be picked up. She would even tell us when it was time to turn on her electronic laser game! We had a lot of fun playing with them. They loved jumping into bags and boxes every time we came home with groceries and got exercise from chasing their various toys (and each other) around the living room. We discovered Brandi is a very good little soccer player.

The cats take their meals in separate rooms and Brandi needs supervision to make sure she stays focused on eating. Our days started early, you could set a clock by them, as they always knew when it was time for breakfast or dinner. The most important rule of the house is not to let them outside, no matter what they tell you! Both cats enjoy sunbathing at the windows and love to feel the breeze through the window screen. Brandi needs a daily brush so that her long hair doesn’t get matted.

They have an electric litter box called a LitterRobot which tracks how often the cats use it and self-cleans after each visit. The drawer underneath just needs emptying twice or so a week. We downloaded the app which was really user-friendly.

The full kitchen is well-equipped and the big screen smart TV allowed us to stream from our phones and access our subscriptions. The lovely fireplace kept us cosy on cold nights. And Kelly and Doug have a great maintenance service called Reliance which came out same-day to take care of any issues.

We were there from December to March so naturally, there was snowfall, which meant the driveway would need to be cleared using the snowblower and shovel, but it was a welcome exercise. The mailbox is a 2-minute walk from the house and we would send photos of any mail or deliveries. We were able to use their car which was really appreciated. And we did stock up on cat food about mid-way through the sit.

Communication was easy and quick. We kept in touch with Kelly and Doug regularly via WhatsApp, entertaining them with photos of the cats. They had us over to the house for a lovely meal before their trip, which was a kind gesture. We would have loved to accept their invitation to come back for dinner after their return, but we had to jet off to our next housesit.

It was a good experience and we were glad to be trusted with their babies. We will miss Brandi and Bandit!

Jane + John were such welcoming hosts; thank you so much for your generosity and sharing your beautiful space! Nyxi was lovely to look after, once we settled into a rhythm she was just so happy to hang - we loved finding places she could roam around and sniff around freely. She would just have such a big smile that warms your heart. Loved having sunny cups of tea and pats on the balcony here! Thank you again :)
