What a wonderful housesit! Otis and Ella were a breeze to look after. Otis is probably the most chilled dog I have ever met! Loves a good sofa cuddle in the evening. Ella was the sweetest little thing who needs some reassurance at the beginning but after you break that barrier she is a real pleasure and delight to be around. I built a really wholesome bond with her. The house itself is stunning. Really bright and open with beautiful grounds. A very comfortable relaxing stay. Sue was fantastic to communicate with and always responded quickly. We highly recommend and very much hope we get to go back.
Marisa and Michael kindly welcomed me into their home upon arrival, and I was given a little tour of their lovely house, along with written/detailed instructions on everything, including their two sweet cats (Corn and Dog) meal routine, etc. which helped make my two nights spent there, exceptionally easy. They were warm, and communicative…before, during, and after my sit, which was very much appreciated. Both cats have distinctive personalities, and are very food motivated…Corn especially ;) The kitchen was very nice for preparing a meal, and the room allocated for me was comfortable, the bed especially. They also have a claw foot bathtub, which I enjoyed while there also. The location is very close to College Avenue which has many restaurant options, including a Trader Joe’s/Safeway for grocery items. It’s a great street to walk and explore, and not far from Berkeley’s famous Telegraph Avenue, which begins in the midst of the historic downtown district of Oakland, and ends near the University of California, Berkeley campus. Overall, I had a very nice experience carrying for their beautiful pets :)
You'll fall in love with this adorable trio of dogs. The two brothers have a great playful relationship, and Belle is an awesome pal to them both. Such a charming village, and rich with old stone architecture. The nearby enclosed field for the dogs is remarkable. You can have such terrific outside time with the dogs in a safe, quiet location. Any house sitter should be glad to be in Culworth for a true British village experience!
