We didn't get to meet Matt in person, but he is a very nice person, we talked on Whatsapp, the communication was 100% good, with all the information and everything we needed. This was a very special and enjoyable sit for us. Birdie and Lexie are extremely sweet, cuddly and lovable girls🤍 They are very easy to care for. Birdie is very shy at the begging but with some patience and love from your side, you will conquer her heart. One very special thing about her is that she doesn't smell like dog! She has a very sweet natural smell🤣 Lexie is a great communicator and you will know exactly when she wants cuddles and when she wants to be alone. The house is gorgeous, spacious and the back yard is literally connected to a natural reserve where you have redwood trails with rivers you can explore. It's also located very close to Santa Cruz. Catherine is a very kind woman who has exquisite taste for her home decor and is very easy going. We really loved meeting her and her animal family🤍 Definitely a sit we would do again and again!✅
Catherine and Hugh were so incredibly lovely and accommodating whilst we were with them. We felt right at home in their house and we really didn’t want to leave at the end. Lottie and Milly were fantastically behaved and lovely little companions in our time with them. They both have such great little personalities, they were great to take out on walks and to play around with in the house as well as being so affectionate. The house itself is stunning and in a brilliant location. It’s right beside the lake and the park for walking the dogs. Also a great place to go on any trips, like the Lake to Lake bike trail and many others. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting a lovey relaxing time in Te Anau with some cute pups.
We had a wonderful time housesitting for Rory and Jane in their lovely home in Carvoeiro - an idyllic seaside town with dramatic views, and great restaurants and weather in abundance. The centre of the town is within walking distance from their house but they very kindly also left us a car to use which allowed us to go to the supermarket and explore a bit further afield in the Algarve. They are very kind and hospitable people - picking us up from the airport, welcoming us into their home and treating us to dinner the night we arrived. Their cats, Frankie and Summer, were easy to care for as they mostly spent their time enjoying the weather in the garden during the day, and curling up on the sofa with us in the evening. Frankie is a real character who also loves food and attention (he does have a tendency to lick himself so he wears a bib most of the time but he’s very good about putting it on). Summer is more independent but still affectionate. Left to her own devices, she will warm up to you quickly. They both loved to be brushed and to play with us/their toys. This is a great sit in a wonderful location for adorable cats and exceptional people - definitely a sit we would do again!
We had a wonderful time for 2 weeks looking after the dogs and ducks in this beautiful home on the lakeside. The family left us with clear and simple instructions and were great at communicating throughout our stay. We would highly recommend this stay to any other housesitters!
My friend and I housesat for Elisa and her husband for ~3 days over a long weekend in Houston and had a great time. Elisa and Yaron were very warm / welcoming when my friend and I were getting into Houston. They gave very clear instructions and were highly communicative throughout the sit. Katara and Nadje are absolute sweeties who were very fun to come home to and great cuddle buddies. The home itself was well-situated in Houston with comfortable accommodations. If I ever find myself looking to return to Houston, I'll definitely be looking to see if Elisa and Yaron need housesitting. Overall, would strongly recommend them for future housesitters.

Rachel is the best cat sitter I have ever used. From her initial consultation to her little video updates while we are away, everything is done to the highest standard. She also offered to feed the fish while we were way (we had totally forgotten). Leia isn’t the most confident of cats (especially with strangers) but Rachel has finally won her over.
Rachel has been taken care of my cats. She is very organized and follow the agreed plan before our vacations. She is helpful and flexible with unexpected events too. She sent videos of our cats too (when she can find them :D).
Rachel has been excellent from the first time she looked after our cats, at which point we didn’t know her well but as time has gone on we’ve built a really good relationship with her which has helped us to trust that our cats are in really safe hands. She is extremely reliable and thorough and has high standards with everything she does. Her communication is excellent and she checks in about our cats’ needs daily, which is important for us to know they are OK but also because it shows how important and seriously she takes her job.
Rachel (of Pet my Pet) has been a real find for us. It is clear she adores our cat, Tilly. We love receiving the videos of the visits and it's clear, Tilly loves Rachel! Apart from that, Rachel is so conscientious in doing little things such as ensuring the house is secure, watering plants occasionally when asked, putting bins out if we are away on collection day. We would recommend Rachel highly; so happy we found her after our previous cat sitter decided to cease her business!

This is the third time Rachel has looked after our cats and I can’t say enough good things about her. She goes above and beyond to make sure my cats are looked after and happy and has really got to know their individual personalities to give them what they need attention wise. I could see from the daily videos that both cats absolutely loved Rachel. She puts an immense amount of effort and love into what she does and I feel completely safe and comfortable leaving my cats with her. My cats are pretty demanding but nothing is too much trouble, she’s just brilliant! Thank you for taking the stress away from us having to worry about our little ones whilst we were away.

Rachel looked after our Cat whilst we were away from home, a much better alternative to the Cattery where he would frequently come home obviously stressed. Having Rachel allowed our outdoor loving boy to continue his normal lifestyle and exercise routines, we had a little video each day which was always amusing. Highly recommended

My dog Ruby loves Amanda and is so excited for her walks. It’s certainly the highlight of her day! She’s also stayed very happily at Amanda’s while we were on holiday. Amanda looked after my mother-in-law’s cat while she was away visiting her daughter. It was a very last minute request but Amanda came to do a home visit the very next day and immediately reassured us. Sasha was taken good care of and it was good to know she was in safe hands. Amanda looked after our cat for a whole week while we were away. She came round for introductions and Cleo loved her straight away! Often stand-offish, she turned into a puddle of purrs. This is the first time I've used PetStay for my 6 year old dog Lottie and have been so impressed with the service provided by Jason. Lottie stayed with Mark and his 2 dogs and I could not of wished for a better career! Mark took amazing care of my little girl whilst we were on holiday and sent me lots of updates and photos, which really reassured me that Lottie was settled and happy. When I came to collect Lottie she was obviously very pleased to see me but equally was also sad to leave Mark as she gave him a big love before she left and I just knew she had a very happy time during her stay. I would highly recommend Mark to anyone as he is such a kind considerate career and treated Lottie just like one of his own dogs.
I cannot praise Jason at Petstay high enough. He arranged for me to meet a very lovely couple to keep my dog for Christmas. He was very meticulous and everything was in place . Unfortunately my dog got very sick and I couldn’t leave him . Jason despite he didn’t have to do it as the deposit was not refundable he returned me all the money. You don’t easily come across this kind of people and I felt the need to leave a review regarding this. Jason showed such empathy as Archie passed away and he sent me a lovely email.
Very nervous leaving Floss with someone unfamiliar as she’s a very clingy dog, who really needs “her people”. Didn’t need to be, Mark quickly made himself “Floss’s person” and sent me regular updates, with photos of exactly what I needed to see - cuddles on the sofa! Mark went above and beyond, even popping to our preferred pet shop to replenish food. Mark knew that Floss was nervous and went out of his way to make sure she wasn’t left, which even we don’t always do. I felt happy knowing Floss was being loved whilst we enjoyed our holiday.
This is the second time Jasper has stayed with Mark and he's had a great time. I think Mark was happy that my flight was delayed so he got to keep Jasper for an extra night! Excellent service, keeps me updated with photos throughout. Can thoroughly recommend.

Our dog has been to daycare with Steph since she was a small puppy and absolutely loves it!! Steph takes so much time and care looking after each dog. She goes over and above to make sure the dogs have the best time ever. It’s so reassuring knowing we are leaving her with someone that’s so passionate about dogs. We get sent regular updates with lots of lovely photos and videos throughout the day! After long muddy walks out with Steph always comes home clean but thoroughly shattered afterwards! I cannot recommend Steph enough. Her passion and love of dogs shines through and she truly does an amazing job!
Finn has been going to the Woofpack twice a week since he was 13 weeks old and always comes home happy and thoroughly exercised! They go on amazing woodland walks, and I am sent regular pictures and videos of the fun they are having which make me smile while I am at work. The best way I can describe Steph is as a second mummy to my boy, she looks after all her dogs with love and care as if they are her own. Reliable, trustworthy and provides a safe and secure environment. I feel lucky to have found such a great place for my dog to be while I am at work.
Steph and I have had many enjoyable walks along the way together with our four legged friends. Steph knows her animals and has cared and shared fun times with my dogs past and present. A Lovely lady all round. She has a responsible, reliable manner and displays a wonderful calm understanding of each individual dog and their needs.
Stephanie is wonderful with our dog who goes for pack walks once a week with her. They go to the most amazing parks and woodland areas. She takes lots of photos and videos of them which make my day when I'm at work! Our dog always comes home tired and content which always tells me she's had a great time exercising and socialising with other dogs. So glad to have found Stephanie since we moved here!
The Woofpack is a home away from home for our pup. The love and care that Jeff receives is outstanding and we implicitly trust Steph to look after him on all occasions. The videos we receive throughout the day of what the dogs are up to are lovely and he always comes back a very happy and tired chap. I cannot recommend the Woofpack highly enough!

Our two frenchies Cedric and Missy have been going to Adele a few years now and they absolutely love it , they are so well looked after and cared for . Adele is very helpful and answers all your questions and queries. You always get lots of updates and photos which really helps you relax when you are on holiday . Finding a home boarding that we could entrust the VIP furry member of our family to whilst we are on holiday was an important decision. Adele was so professional and reassuring that our fur baby, Stanley, would be well looked after. Adele spent time in our home and on the phone discussing Stanley’s needs and explaining how Barking Mad operates. When it came time for his first stay we received lots of updates and pictures. Adele was so keen to ensure that Stanley was paired with the right family and he certainly had fun and is looking forward to his next holiday. Thank you Adele for making the process such a worry free and pleasant experience for both us and Stanley.
We were lucky enough to have Adele Chaperone our cockapoo Buddy for our wedding. Adele arrived at the venue prior to the ceremony so that Buddy could meet our guests and also stayed afterwards for the photos and at all times was on hand just in case. She took amazing care of him and we knew he was absolutely fine as we received pictures of him during the day with his bow tie on, looking so relaxed and even having a nap at one point! As soon as we dropped him off for a trial night Buddy settled straight away so we knew he would be just fine and really put our minds at rest. Each time he has stayed I have had updates and photos of him cuddled up on the sofa with Adele and even that he had eaten and been on walks which was great to know. Thank you so much Adele, we couldn’t recommend you enough and I’m sure Buddy feels the same!
I have been working with Adele most of 2023 volunteering to host dogs in my home. It has been delightful. Adele is the perfect negotiator and makes sure the right dogs get with the right hosts. All the dogs have been happy and enjoyed their holiday with me thanks to Adeles care for details. She is a total dog lover and bonds with each dog and instinctively knows which volunteer to use or to do it herself. The only reason I am not continuing to do it I am adopting one of the dogs I looked after that needs a new home. Without Adele this could not have happened. Adele will be looking after him when I go away so it has worked out perfectly.
Our puppy Pippa had a great holiday with Adele, Paul and Otis. Because she was still young I was worried about leaving her but I was put at ease by Adele from the first phone call and knew that she would be well looked after by the Barking Mad Stockport team. She already has her next holiday booked in July!
Really happy with the personalised and professional service provided by Adele at Barking Mad Stockport. Adele spent time to get to know our dog’s habits and nature, making detailed notes before boarding him. I was more than satisfied that he would be welcomed and well looked after, it was a such a relief to leave him with Adele rather than at a kennel. He clearly had a lovely stay and looked happy and undisturbed by our absence! We’ve walked past the family’s house a couple of times since his stay and he’s tried to walk up their drive - so he’ll definitely be up for another holiday with them! Many, many thanks.

I recently used Barking Mad Stockport to board my dog Django while I went on holiday for 5 days. The whole experience was fantastic, and Django was treated like a king from start to finish ( I don't think he wanted to come home). -Starting with the setup, the questionnaire was really helpful to describe the daily routine of Django to make sure he is cared for also really helpful for me to know what I needed to bring along with Django -Next came the handover, as a was flying from Manchester airport Adele / Paul were really accommodating and made arrangements for a seemlless collection on my way to the airport, this was really helpful -While in their care he was looked after with great care and attention, they provided loads of updates and photos which was really nice while away and made sure Django did all his favourite activates, mostly via going swimming on his daily walks -On return from my holiday Adele / Paul were again really accommodating to arrange to meet to drop Django off so we could return home. Django was really happy to see me again, but truth be told I don't think he wanted to come home as he had such an amazing time. I would 100% use Barking Mad Stockport to board my dog
My nervous rescue dog stayed with Adele early August for his first time away from home for more than a night (4 nights)..it went well and he appeared bright eyed and bushy tailed on his return..picked up, and dropped off by Adele after a walk ,very happy to use the service in future .
We've booked Adele as our dog chaperone for our wedding. Our dog Minnie really warmed to Adele when she first met her and had a great overnight stay with her in preparation for this. We were kept up to date and received photos and videos of her stay, it was our first time leaving Minnie with anyone other than close family and friends so were quite nervous and felt completely reassured and comfortable. Would definitely recommend Adele.
After my long-time, trusted cat sitter recently moved away I was anxious about finding someone who would care for my 11yr old cat Layla in a similar way (tend to her every diva-ish need!) in my absence. I needn’t have worried. After an initial email conversation regarding availability and cost, Izzy came to my flat to personally introduce herself to myself and Layla. Izzy is warm and friendly and exudes a love of animals which was clear from the moment she stepped through my door. I completed an information form regarding Laylas feeding routine, medical requirements and Vet details along with contact details for myself. Layla is quite a nervous cat and enjoys her peace and quiet being the only resident with 4 legs. She is wary of ‘new’ people but warms up to them quite quickly once she realises they are there to feed her, she is, after all, ruled by her stomach :) I received daily texts and pics of Layla whilst I was away which was reassuring. Izzy took amazing care of my little furry flatmate and I had no concerns at all whilst I was away. I have already booked Izzy’s services for a period next month and cannot recommend her highly enough to anyone who worries endlessly about their 4 legged children! Awesome care and service by a lovely lady :)
I have used Izzy for 6 weeks while I recovered from surgery . I used to see Izzy on my normal dog walks and saw her with the dogs she walked. I could see how the dogs she walked reacted to her and the care she took with them, so when I needed help after surgery I asked her if she could help. After a difficult time initially with one of my dogs who wouldn’t go in her car , all 3 really looked foreward to there walks and sat at the window looking for her. She was very reliable and very careing towards my dogs. My 3 are not easy, all have little issues and are old , she fitted in with them, accommodating there needs and was so patient with them. I don’t think I could have chosen anyone better . Thanks Izzy
Izzy looked after my bellatrix while I went away for a family celebration. I felt so relaxed the whole time and it made the trip even better. She sent photos and checked in to make sure I would be home on time and so bellatrix wasn’t left for too long. Would highly recommend her to anyone for their cat visits.

Where do I start! Izzy has been walking my doggie Eddie since October and she has been absolutely amazing! She sends me daily updates which I love because it makes me so upset leaving him, but I know he has the most amazing time with izzy and his best friends! The best thing izzy has done for us is retrain Eddie’s recall and I am amazed. He’s still deaf at times but he has improved so much and I have izzy to thank for that! Top notch service, I couldn’t recommend her enough.
Izzy started walking my dog 2 months ago. I was hesitant to have a dog Walker as I was reluctant to give my house keys to someone I do not know. Izzy was referred to me through Nextdoor app. At our first meeting she showed incredible professionalism showing me all the relevant documents to put my mind at ease. Overall she is punctual, flexible when I want to change days of walking and the dog loves her .She also tries to leave him as clean as possible after the walk. I can not recommend higher enough.

Izzy walked fed and kept my boy Harry company so I could enjoy my sons graduation. I zzy kept me informed through the afternoon on how things were going and I came home to a happy dog who.was snuggled contentedly next to Izzy obviously feeling very content, something he only does with me and my son. Suki and Edwin are hands down the best pet sitters in Manchester! They took care of my dog, Fay Fay (a very picky boy), for two weeks, and I couldn't be more grateful. From the start, they showed such genuine care and love for him, and it’s clear they both have a passion for animals. Fay Fay can be quite particular, especially with his food, but Suki takes special care of his diet, ensuring he's well-fed and content. They also take him out for walks and playtime, which he absolutely enjoys. Suki and Edwin’s own dog, Eevee, is so well-trained and gets along wonderfully with Fay Fay. It’s heartwarming to see how comfortable Fay Fay is around her, and it really shows how well Eevee is raised. One of the best parts is that they sent us photos and videos of Fay Fay every day during his two-week stay, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. I really appreciate their professionalism, the daily updates, and their flexibility. I highly recommend Suki and Edwin to anyone looking for loving and reliable pet sitters! ❤️
Best dog sitter in Manchester! Suki is without a doubt a top tier dog sitter. She looked after our labradoodle reggie for just over a week and although reggie usually hates us going away, he had so much fun and was given 5 star attention and love throughout his stay. We were given regular updates everyday with pictures and videos. Reggie has quite a strict food regimen and Suki was so flexible and accommodated everything we asked. Reggie also has some medical issues and Suki was able to respond to these quickly and highly professionally, even administering difficult medication when needed. We brought our 4 months old Pomeranian boy to Suki’s place for boarding for a few days. Suki is very responsible and friendly. She kept updating us on how our boy did during the day. She also told us lots of useful information as we have never kept a dog before. Our boy has had his first walk out with Suki too. PS; Suki’s pet, Eevee is very gentle. She acts like a big sister taking care of my boy :)

The best dog sitter! I left my cocker spaniel for the first time for 2 weeks, so I was very nervous. We were sent lots of photos and videos every day, which made our holiday so much more enjoyable as we weren’t worried at all! He was very well looked after and they even helped train him in things we’ve been struggling to! He came back a much calmer and well behaved dog as well as us being given lots of useful information for us to better train him going forward. Their dog Eevee is so calm and patient with our dog, they got on so well! I will only use Pokepooch Pet Care for our future holidays.

Felt so guilty on the boys them having just spent 9 days in kennels and only being home for about a week before they had to go back to Newgate for the weekend. They were literally scrambling to get out of the car when they saw where we were and ran in. Guilt disappeared immediately. Thanks for making it an enjoyable experience for them and taking such good care of my babies
Wonderful service. Our two cats were well looked after for 5 days. We had them fed twice daily on dry food provided by Newgate. Reasonable prices. Cats were whisked away at the Check-in counter while we filled out the forms.
Brilliant kennels. Three generations of my family have used Newgate over the last 30 years and we have never had any problems. Our vet initially recommended Newgate to us. Joel and the team are brilliant.
You can never underestimate the level of care and attention Newgate provide, not only to our pets, but also to us, the parents. For the service and after care, Newgate are excellent value.

Our puppy had a day visit as a trial, comes very highly recommended, and she had a good time so looking forward to her first full stay! Addendum: Here we are years later and just had her in for another stay. She go's trotting in and doesn't look back, that to me is a sign she's happy with Newgate, therefore I'm happy! Thank you!

My dog Stanley comes to Newgate for day crèche regularly and occasionally overnight if we are away. It’s extremely stressful leaving your dog and the staff are nothing but accommodating, helpful and friendly. Special shout outs go to Joel, Julie, and (Tom? I believe) who look after him regularly. Stanley is an in tact male so cannot go to other facilities and as a dobermann it can be difficult to find the ‘right’ place. Newgate are well equipped and have always made us feel welcome. There is a reason that immediate or last minute over night care is not always available, because Newgate is understandably so popular. Thank you for all your hard work.
We were so nervous about leaving our dog in a kennels, especially for 16 days while we went on our honeymoon but we needn't have been, she loved it and we could tell from her behavior how happy she was with the staff there. She came back to us smelling fresh from her bath the day before, and had clearly been eating well. We've been twice now and she was so excited when we arrived the second time so she must have been happy there. It was worth the wait to get into Newgate knowing she isn't mixing with any other dogs and is in a secure environment. Would definitely recommend!
I use the grooming service here for my yorkie. Floyd is always happy when arriving here , arriving with his tail wagging is always a good sign as we have had trouble getting him out the car at other groomers in the past and he is always happy when we collect him. The groom is always done beautifully. I Highly recommend. Organised , friendly and always a 10/10 service.
You couldn't leave your dog in better hands, Sarah is absolutely fantastic and was so brilliant with our 2-year old boxer Rosie. When I came to pick her up after her first full night away she didn't want to leave! It's great to be able to go away and know that your dog is well looked after, even when we picked Rosie up from her trial day we knew we'd (finally) found somewhere we were really happy with. Very highly recommended!
Lovely day...socially distanced. The zoo is fantastic..i dont truly like the idea but I realize conservation efforts.
