Fiona and Alan are really nice and fun people and we enjoyed the talks with them, before they headed to the airport. Looking after Hobbsy and Frosty and the house was easy going and a real pleasure. Frosty is just so loving and always up for cuddles and Hobbs has a very cool and entertaining personality. Both of them are very well behaved. The house is surrounded by beautiful nature and the walks for the dogs start at the doorstep. We would return for another sit any time and can really recommend it!

Koki and Sunshine are truly adorable dogs, I thoroughly enjoyed looking after them. They are super friendly, Sunshine being ball obsessed and loving walkies, and Koki being the most affectionate dog I’ve ever met! He simply would be stroked all day! I was welcomed warmly by Lisa and harry, who encouraged me to make myself at home in their beautiful farmhouse. They are down to earth friendly people, and I’m thankful to them for trusting me with their fur babies! Their home is stunning and surrounded by fabulous countryside but not too far from pubs and shops. I didn’t venture far as I was full of a cold, but I wouldn’t hesitate to sit for them again if they’d have me, giving me further opportunity to discover the area with their two beautiful dogs!
This was our first sit since joining the community. It was a wonderful experience sitting for Meg and Bella. Meg was kind, responsive and understanding. She was so gracious and generous that she let us use her car. It made things so much easier for our stay. Meg's house was very clean and well-organized. It was also comfortable and homey. We cooked most of the time at her place. Her kitchen was very easy to use. Bella the cat was so sweet , affectionate and funny too. We had a great time taking care of her and being with her. We took an easy and relaxing walk from Meg's house to a rail trail and saw a nice sunset. We did two hikes : Indian Brook Park and Shelburne Bay Park - roughly 20 minutes away from Meg's house. They both have beautiful views of Lake Champlain. Downtown Burlington has very nice shops/boutiques. We ate at Hong's Dumplings in downtown - recommended. We both worked while we were there and Meg's internet speed was very fast. We both had to be on video meetings all day long and never had any connection problems. We highly recommend Meg as a host.
I enjoyed myself tremendously during my stay at the home of Andrea and Bjoern. They were wonderful hosts who welcomed me into their home as if they had known me for years. Their house is lovely, comfortable and perfectly situated. It is close to stores, restaurants, parks and walking trails. It is also an easy drive or metro ride into Washington D.C.
The kittens, Puma and Kali, are adorable, playful and affectionate little dears. They were lots of fun and the best of company. It was truly a pleasure to spend time with them. Our five weeks together flew by much too quickly. This was a wonderful housesitting experience and I would be very happy to return anytime.
It was such a pleasure looking after Jane and Richards home. We had a wonderful time exploring the area and getting to know Tabby cat. Jane and Richard are great communicators and we found everything to be easy and straightforward. They made it especially easy for us with a manual of everything we needed to know about looking after their home. When we arrived, we were greeted to a warm welcome, a beautiful home cooked meal and they went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable giving us all the local knowledge we needed to really get the most of our time in Chalon. Our girls settled in straight away and particularly enjoyed tending to their beautiful garden. We really look forward to seeing Richard and Jane again soon and hope that some day they come and visit us in New Zealand!
