Susan
My stay at Susan's was really nice, she is very welcoming and easy to get along with. Her cats are the sweetest, I very much enjoyed taking care of them. Ollie took his medecine very easily. The house is very comfortable to stay in, and very clean! I would highly recommend this house sit.
Thanks again, Susan!

Jason and Jana
We spent two weeks looking after Astro for Jana and Jason after meeting each other and Astro a couple of weeks prier to our sit.
Astro was fairly cautious about these two people that had come to look after him but I'm happy to say we managed to win him round within the first day with his favourite treats. He settled really well with us once he realised we were there to play and feed him and sat with us in the evenings and followed us around.
We would recommend sitting for Jana and Jason, they are good communicators and a very friendly couple.
Helensbough is a small friendly town with both trains fairly close and a local bus which goes down to the station regularly but I think you need a car to get around easily which Jason did advice.
If we return to New South Wales we would be very happy to look after Astro again.

Dace
Charlie was an absolute delight to look after. He is happy, affectionate and has the best laughing, nose scrunched, sneezy greeting! He loves his walks, chasing rabbits in the fields, his food, treasure hunting for treats and cuddling up on his blanket on the sofa for evening tv. Dace and Ross made us very welcome in their home, which was clean, spacious and had everything we needed for our stay. We had great fun exploring the many footpaths straight from the house with Charlie. He would invariably find a route from them to a rabbit field. He has very good recall and so very well behaved and trained. We would readily look after Charlie in Hurtspierpoint again.

We loved our time with Scamp, Milly and Chivers, a real trio of characters who were good company throughout and kept us entertained as well. All three liked the occasional lap time and cuddles and had no problem seeking our attention and engagement. Scamp is the key imp of the trio, enjoying different kinds of play and mischief. Milly is a beautiful calm presence liking to sleep and eat in equal measure. Chivers keeps to herself a lot but is full of energy when she decides the time is right for some fuss.
Susanne and John have a really comfortable home with everything you need for a relaxing time. This part of Wales has so much to offer with the sea right on the doorstep and the delightful Georgian harbour town of Aberaeron just down the road. We spent lots of time there and met many friendly locals. We also travelled around and about, finding lovely wooded spots to walk and nice places to eat out or take time with a coffee or two. We found lots of interesting arts and crafts and were lucky to catch the Aberaeron book festival too.
Communication with Susanne and John was good throughout and they did everything to make us feel welcome. Scamp, Milly and Chivers have won a place in our hearts for sure and revisiting our experience with them in this lovely spot would be a delight.

Sue
Jack is a phenomenal dog and truly I had a wonderful time there with him. The bunnies were very sweet and easy to care for as well. Sue was so down to earth and great to communicate with beforehand. Upon arrival, she and her family were warm and welcoming as we did the hand-off and they were very supportive and responsive to needs when they arose. The house was great, and an absolute joy for kids, which they were generous to allow me to share with family that came to visit. There is beautiful land to explore nearby and Jack was the perfect companion for it. It was a nourishing time and as my first sit with TH, it solidified the joy and practicality of the reciprocity in this unique exchange platform. My gratitude to Sue and family, including the furred ones, for a great experience. (ps. There is sparkling morning magic in the bedroom suite upstairs which is a beautiful space.)
