This house sit was a pleasure. Mittens is just a sweet heart. After warming up she was very cuddly. She loves to hide under your blanket and receive cuddles. Beth and her family invited us for a pre visit and felt welcomed right away. The communication was easy and we got all the information. Mittens is uncomplicated and only needs food and love :) The aquarium in the living room is also nice and cool to watch the fish inside. The location is absolutely stunning. Just a few steps from the beach you have a great view of the surrounding mountains. The view of Mount Baker is mind blowing. You can also see so many eagles and other wildlife. The house also has everything you need. Using the hot tub was very relaxing and an evening in front of the real fireplace with Mittens is unforgettable. We can highly recommend this house sit. We would also love to come back again.
Nicole was accommodating and very easy to communicate with. She often checked in about if I needed anything for myself, the house, or the cats. Sassy and Milo took a few days to warm up to me, but once they did, they were lovely and easy to care for. They made entertaining work and snuggle companions when I was home, and took care of themselves when I was out or asleep. They are really sweet and wonderful cats.
A wonderful stay with Dexter and Martha two very characterful cats. They were such good company and very entertaining. Forget the TV Dexter will put on his cat cirque de Soleil show his acrobatics were very impressive. They loved to snuggle up on the settee in the evening. Martha having the loudest of purrs. Both slept most of the nights on the end of my bed which incidentally was extremely comfortable. They were very independent using their cat flap to go in and out as they wished. Charlottes home is beautiful I felt very much at home and surrounded by the Lakeland hills. Everything you need is available in the village also only 5 minutes walk to the railway station and bus stop. This was one of my favourite sits and hopefully will get the opportunity to meet up with my furry friends again. I really do miss them. Thank you so much Charlotte.
Great sit in KC! Rachel communicated brilliantly from start to finish. Her house and neighborhood are charming and welcoming and pleasant for dog walking. Olly is a laid-back, sweet, affectionate dog who is easy to care for and nice to be around. Phineas is a loving, cuddly, slightly roguish feline who constantly entertains. There’s plenty to see in nearby areas of the city, too. All in all a very pleasant and interesting experience. Highly recommended!
Nigel is a great host! Very communicative and helpful and all around a great person. He left great notes and answered any questions we had. Sapphy was such a dear. She lets you know when she wants to cuddle and will join you wherever you sit. A great cat. Nigel’s home is lovely and the neighborhood, as well. So many great restaurants and shops nearby. We also found the local transport to be very efficient. Can’t wait to make it back to London to meet up with Nigel and Sapphy again!
We absolutely loved our stay in Conchar, Cristina's "Catgang" stole our hearts, they were just a general delight to be around. 8 cats to look after… so we expected some work. But not at all, they are so adorable, friendly, with of course different personalities which make it very interesting. Cristina is a great host, perfectly organized to welcome sitters. She is very easy going yet extremely responsive when needed. Her property is a lovely Spanish country style house with patio, roof terraces, pool and terrific views to the Sierra Nevada. We would highly recommend this sit to any nature and cats lover looking for a slow pace and comfortable hassle-free stay away from the crowds. We would definitely come again.

My boy LOVES Safe & Hound. And they love him in return. Some days he whines when he must come home as he would rather stay and play with his friends. They are so very caring, communicative, and honest. Any one of the caregivers I will give an A+++ to. I use S&H for overnight boarding occasionally. I usually get a photo or two and an update on how it's going. They are like family. My highest rating for Safe & Hound.
Harper and Hank have been going to Safe and Hound since they were babies. They go three days a week and also do overnight boarding with the Hound. Not only do they LOVE going to “school” each day... they learn while they are there and come home exhausted and ready to relax. Vizsla’s have so much energy and our dogs really thrive with their friends everyday at daycare. The facilities are clean and safe, everyone on staff is friendly and wonderful and you can tell how much everyone loves our dogs! They give baths, trim nails and play with our puppies daily. It really is a special place and I’m so grateful for the whole team at Safe and Hound! Thank you guys for being the very best...highly recommend!! 💜
We love Safe and hound. The staff know and love on or pup Stormy like their own. They make sure that dogs are healthy and interacting appropriately with one another. Our dog is always excited to get there in the morning and wears herself out playing with other pups. The online reservation system is easy to use and helps to coordinate dates you need care. We have boarded our dog with them as well on trips and she came home healthy and happy. I can’t recommend them highly enough!!
My sweet baby loves going to daycare here. He is practically jumping out the window when I pull in to the parking lot. The team that works there loves dogs and it shows. Stewie will be a lifer there.
I cannot stress enough how wonderful this place is! The girls who work here are so sweet. Spinelli always gets so excited when she figures out she's going to daycare, and when we arrive I am instantly chopped liver as she is so happy to see her human and doggy friends. She comes home tired and happy every time. When we board her, the girls even send us photos and little update messages on Spinelli while we are away (my faves included below). We are so thankful we live so close to a great daycare and boarding place!
I could not be happier with Safe And Hound . Not only are the staff attentive and kind but they absolutely love my little girl and she loves going to school. If you are looking for a great doggy daycare, this is the spot!!! The excitement she gets when we turn, the corner, tells me everything I need to know.
My dog, Zarafina, has been attending Safe & Hound for 15 months. She loves it there and is always super tired when she comes home. That tells me she plays hard! And since she is a husky, that is the most important component. After all, a tired husky is a good husky! The staff is phenomenal, the hours are good, the space is clean, and I have never had any issue here. I cannot say the same for 3 other local doggy daycare facilities I have tried. So to me, this place is the best you will find anywhere in the Portland area. The price is a little high, but within industry standard. I'm a firm believer in "you get what you pay for" and I will gladly pay the price to keep my girl safe and happy.
Love this place! Shilo goes to her "doggy daycare" 2 x week. She gets excited when we tell her where she is going and she is exhausted when we pick her up! She is a Pomsky with a lot of Husky traits in her so she needs the exercise. Safe and Hound literally saved us when she was pup...didn't know what to do with her and her craziness. Everyone who works here is amazing and you can tell that they really love all of the dogs! Highly recommend.
Safe & Hound Doggy Daycare is a great place. I really like their set up. “So does my dog :-)”. The staff here is very personable and friendly. Crystal, the owner did a great with this place. It’s a newer location and it couldn’t have come at a better time. I know my dog is in excellent hands while I am gone at work. We just boarded our dog Remy for more than three weeks at Reynolds Dog Resort @ the West Linn location. As a result of that recent and stellar experience, Reynolds has our highest recommendation. We feel confident that staff took the best & most compassionate care of our dog possible, and we will always board our dog at Reynolds going forward. During his boarding, he developed some health issues that had nothing to do with his boarding at Reynolds. Wasting no time, Reynolds staff took him to his own vet for assessment and prescription. Although we were in Europe, Reynolds staff called us whenever necessary with updates on his health status, and finally with a report that his issue had resolved and that he was doing well. We opted for the Trailblazer package which got him out in a well supervised play yard several times a day with a manageable number of similarly sized dogs. We could see from the daily videos of the Trailblazer FaceBook group , that he was having a great time engaging both with the other dogs and with staff which allowed us to relax and enjoy our travels knowing that he was in good hands. He's happy to be home in excellent condition, and we are grateful to Reynolds staff for taking such exceptional care of him.
I am beyond impressed with how organized and friendly the staff is at Reynolds. They also took time to text me updates on how my pup was handling her first day at doggie daycare, and when I picked her up, she was very happy and excited. She also happened to be there on her third birthday, and the staff signed a card for her and took the cutest birthday picture of her! I highly recommend this place, and feel very reassured that she is in the best hands at Reynolds!
Our dog, Moose, is a regular here and visits a few times a week in most cases. The staff is awesome and Moose loves visiting the people and resort. We’ve had such great service and our dog comes home well exercised, happy, and tired. I also really appreciate that our dog doesn’t come home smelling terrible. Reynolds has been a game changer when it comes to play time outside and socialization while my wife and I work. Being in single dog family I think the Reynolds operation really plays a big role in why our young dog is so happy and healthy. We’ve been sending Moose here for quite some time now and they’ve been amazing for us and our pup on many levels. We commute from aways out and the experience is worth it. If you need an excellent place with a great team to care for your dog then Reynolds is totally worth a visit.
We used Reynolds Dog Resort for a long term boarding while on vacation. The rates were very reasonable and the amount of activity and playtime my dog got was amazing! My dog is a very playful, friendly husky mix who needs lots of running time and loves snuggles. She was engaged, active and very well stimulated. The personnel took amazing, personable care of my 3yr old dog and she was a happier dog and seemed to benefit from additional training once I brought her home. Love this place and trust them with my dog for short term day care and long term boarding.
Our standard poodle Clifford always has a great time at Reynolds Dog Resort for boarding and daycare. It’s a relief to have a place where we know he’s safe and having fun while we’re out of town. I highly recommend Reynolds!

Our little dog, Bebe, was anxious when we took her to doggy daycare at another place. We are so glad we found Reynolds. She looks forward to being there and is happier overall. The regular schedule and large outdoor area are the right mix for our dog.
I wish I could give Reynolds Resort 10 stars because of how great they were/are with my dog. It also helps they are located so close to my house! They took their time getting her comfortable and not pushing her and she ended up having a really nice experience. Jackson (manager), Haley (dog trainer)and Rachel (scheduler) are all absolutely wonderful people, so caring, kind and genuine, I cant say enough good things abut these people. My dog, Ophelia, and my family family cant wait to work with Reynolds more in the future for doggy day care as well as overnight stays when we are out of town. Paws & Pals is amazing! I had a last minute inquiry about watching my puppy for the following day. They were so prompt with their response and were able to accommodate him. Asher was happy the second he stepped into their home and I could tell he was in good hands. Usually he cries quite loud when I leave. He was completely fine. When I picked him up he was happy to see me but also didn’t want to leave, He tried to steal their slippers on the way out (sorry). 😂 I was very impressed with their care of Asher and thank them tremendously for fitting him in on such short notice. We will be back if they allow… since my dog was a bit of a thief… Thanks again!
We have had Jenna and Casey- owners of Paws and Pals, take care of and walk our dog Hazel while out of town. They have done an outstanding job with the 12 days that we needed their services. They provided pictures and comments on how the day went. We felt very comfortable leaving our dog with them.We have come home twice now to a very happy dog and would recommend their business to anyone looking for dog walking or boarding!

Jenna and Casey did multiple drop in visits on our two pups while we were out of town. They were both very friendly and professional and very punctual as well as amazing communication and pictures the whole time we were gone. You could tell our pups were very well taken care of and given lots of attention and love! Would highly recommend them and will definitely use them again!
Kathryn has taken care of my cat Gibson on two separate occasions. She has come twice a day to administer medications and feed him. She always sends pictures and videos so I can see he is happy and well cared for. It is wonderful to have someone who I can trust and count on.

My dog has been visiting Maggie on and off for many years. Maggie is always quick to respond when I check her availability and provides wonderful care for my dog. The environment is like home, there are cozy places for the dogs to be inside, a safe backyard with shade and sun for play, and lots of attention. It's a home away from home for my dog when I travel.

I’ve boarded my pup (Clementine) with Maggie several times now, always for fairly long stretches. I used to be so nervous about leaving her for longer than a few days, but I have absolutely no anxiety about her while she’s in Maggie’s care. When I had a family emergency arise requiring an extension of Clem’s boarding dates, Maggie’s incredible understanding and flexibility alleviated so much stress for me and my family. And even when there hasn’t been an emergency, it’s so nice to be able to leave for vacation and only have to think about your dog when you miss her rather than worrying constantly. Maggie’s home is SO beautiful, as well as very clean and inviting to pets. I would actually kill for her backyard, which has so much space for dogs to run and play. Clem always has the time of her life and I feel good knowing the attention of the person watching her isn’t diverted by a million other dogs; the few she takes on at a time are enough for stimulation without being overwhelming. The near daily photo/video updates are so nice and my family always gets a laugh out of them, too. I love and trust this place so much that I’ve now recommended Maggie/Unleashed to every Portland area dog owner I know. Absolutely worth every penny every single time, I hope I never have to take my dog anywhere else. I honestly cannot day enough good things.
We boarded our dog for 9 days and were very happy with the TLC she got here. Photos and video was posted daily on Facebook so we could see how she was doing. The owner's home is dog-friendly but also immaculately clean. There's a huge fenced backyard for frolicking as well as an indoor play area for rainy days. We wouldn't hesitate to leave our big girl here again.
This is such a lovely idea, hosting a few dogs in your home. Our experience with this business was less than ideal, though. The owner asked us to bring our dog (a 12 year old male miniature schnauzer) over to meet her dogs, because she needs to know our dog will get along with her dogs. So far, so good. Our dog, while far from perfect, loves other dogs. He loves other dogs so much that at TWO of his past doggie daycares, they used him as the test dog to see if other dogs would fit in. He has gone all the way up through advanced obedience classes, has learned circus tricks, and has competed in agility. He even used to work as a therapy dog, visiting long term care homes. He has never been aggressive towards anyone, much less another dog. He is more likely to play himself to death with them. After he met the owner’s dogs (which my husband thought had gone just fine), she let me know she was uncertain if he and her older male lab got along. She wanted our dog to stay for a night at her house while we were still in town to find out if they were compatible. This seemed like a lot of effort, but, okay, I can understand being cautious. We took him to her place (at the cost of $50) and left him there for a night. The next day, my husband picked him up and she did not say a word to him about what had gone on. We assumed that meant we were good to go. We had already made reservations with her for our upcoming vacation, WELL in advance of the time we would be out of town. With less than a week before we were due to leave town, the owner contacted me to let me know that she had another male dog staying with her and she would need us to bring our dog back to her house again to see if our dog got along with this other dog. Seriously? What was she going to do if they did not get along? It seemed glaringly unprofessional to tell someone with less than a week notice that you are not sure if our dog (a much beloved family member) would be acceptable to stay with her when the rest of the family is about to leave on vacation. Talk about stress inducing. The owner’s continued suspicion that our dog will be aggressive towards other dogs was unfounded and, frankly, offensive. We have found other, better options for boarding our little guy. I guess if you have a female dog or a young pup, this might be a good choice for you. The yard she has for dogs to run in is wonderful, and they have lovely little beds to sleep in all around the house. If you have a male dog, especially an older male dog, be forewarned you might want to look elsewhere.
Maggie loves dogs more than anyone I know. She will always take wonderful care of yours.

Best pet sitter in the Portland metro area bar none. Diane has a passion for pets, and unlike some pet sitters she cares for special needs pets as well. My kitty is insulin dependent, and anytime we are leaving town we can trust to Diane to take care of him and make sure he gets all his medicine and insulin. I don't trust many people with my pets, but I trust Diane with mine. She has a passion for pets, and her kennel free boarding for dogs is top-notch. Any time I have to leave town, I can rest easy knowing our pets are well cared for.

My fur child is so incredibly happy the second we pull into the parking lot!!! The staff are welcoming, warm and engaging. I was just using this service as a fill in activity for travel but my little buddy can not live without the Scooby crew on a regular schedule. Can not say enough about how fabulous this has been! Nyxie loves her plays and stays at Scooby Shack. She's made some good buddies (dogs and humans!), and she "sings" all the way to the Scooby Shack once she knows we're headed that way. The staff takes such good care of our girl. When she stays there, the staff is happy to give updates and pictures. (We know Nyxie is having a ball so this is really to make her parents feel better.) Thank you Scooby Shack for taking such great care of our girl!
Extremely disappointed with this place. We used to bring our dog here exclusively for grooming and daycare but never again. We brought our dog in to get groomed after several years of grooming here and only when I went to pay was I told that the prices increased, over $100 MORE! We'd always brought our dog in the morning to play with the other dogs and then his grooming appointment would be in the afternoon. We've done this for years and not once have they charged us for day care when bringing him in the morning If we also got him groomed. It was only when I came to pick him up that they told me they increased their prices for grooming and charged me for the morning. I understand raising prices as needed but this was a very dishonest way to go about that. They should have let their customers know before they leave their dogs there that they increased their prices by so much instead of waiting until after the service is over. Not to mention the groomer did not even trim some areas we'd requested like around his booty so now I have to do it myself. We will never be coming back and will be telling our friends and family who also go there about this experience.
I'm so excited, Scooby Shack has a new groomer (Hannah), and she is fantastic. I have a Yorkshire Terrier and a Bernese Mountain Dog and I've been through more than my fair share of not so good grooming experiences. Leah really listened to me and did exactly what I asked her to. My dogs look great, and you can tell she really enjoys grooming dogs. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her!
I’ve posted before and after pictures of our mini Aussiepoo. As you can see, he had a full head of cute, curly hair that the groomer at Scooby Shack has managed to shave off haphazardly twice. When we picked him up this time, we were in tears; she’d cut his whiskers off, shaved his entire body and only left his ears and tail alone. She said it was because we didn’t brush him enough, but we brushed him every day. I am so disappointed and upset by this groomer. How can you work with animals and do this to them? Do not take your dog to this woman, she clearly doesn’t care about the work she is doing or how her customers feel.
I have taken my dogs to Scooby Shack since 2011. Trulli loves going to Scooby Shack so she can play with her doggie friends and with Todd. I am very happy with the care Trulli receives and have no reservations taking her for daycare and boarding Trulli at Scooby Shack.
Very impressed with this daycare and boarding facility . Very clean and communication is topnotch. They Have staff with the pups at all times -24 hrs. Experienced staff watching and they understand animal behavior. As I’m Watching pups come and go-The pups are so happy waggin their tails , hopping on their feet -such a sight to see. That tells me they had a good time. What great way to socialize a pup in a pack environment. 🤩 They even have a cat condo. Super Clean and have wall climbing area for them. I got to see a cat scratching on a post didn’t even seem scared. Relaxed and strutting his stuff across the room. 🤩
Our dog loves Scooby Shack. He is excited when we take him here, and when he comes home, it is obvious he has played all day long and enjoyed his day. Staff are super friendly and nice.

My wife and I LOVE taking our dog to RDR West Linn. They do such a good job of taking care of Daisy, and offer wonderful perks and activities each month (we especially love the photo shoots) that make it so special to come here. The staff is always friendly and professional and maintain excellent communication if any questions or concerns come up on our part.
Reynolds takes very good care of my dog who has special needs sometimes. They seem like they truly care and listen to my directions for her carefully highly recommend them. This is the Reynolds in West Linn.
Someone recently recommended this location, specifically, for doggy day care & boarding - this location & the Tualatin location are really close to each other, but the West Linn location has an outdoor play area with artificial turf (no/less dirt/mudd/mess when the rains hit). My 1 1/2 year old pup has gone 3 times for daycare, loves it, staff is GREAT, & pup sleeps SO GOOD nights after going! Definitely recommend!
Kodiak has been going to Reynolds since she was 4 months old! She loves it and they love her, it’s been a match made in heaven for the past year and a half and we’ll continue to go here in the future! They even take cute pictures on holidays with the pups :)
Yesterday was Phoebe and Gus Gus first daycare visit. The staff was friendly and professional. All though phoebe didn’t acknowledge me the whole way back home I know she will adjust. Clearly she’s use to being with mom all day. Thanks covid. I can’t wait for our second visit next week. I know the dogs will love daycare once they get in the routine.
The employees care deeply about my dogs. They were quick and efficient even during a rush when I came to pick up my dogs. I appreciate them managing my dogs and will definitely be bringing them again.
What happened?!?! Service is WAY down in this location. it's a 15-20 min wait to drop off and pick up my dog now, when before it was in and out in 2 mins. Familiar faces are gone, there are far fewer people out front and they always look stressed and overworked. I suspect new management and cost cutting which is terrible for customers.
First time we use pet boarding in the US as we just could not be happier, great place to bring your dog, we even got an update with picture. Gijs had a great time will definitely bring him more often
Trustworthy boarding and daycare facility. The girls are always so sweet and you can tell they care about all of the dogs that come through. My german shepherd was always anxious while boarding until I found Reynolds Dog Resort. He now comes home happy and tired and has a blast playing with the dogs and in the water there. Highly recommend.
