This pet/house sit was a first class/five thumbs up experience. Our hosts Lisa and Jack were very accommodating and friendly, they made us feel completely at home and comfortable in their beautiful home. We enjoyed our own “wing” in the house complete with a lovely bedroom (with comfy bed) and bathroom. The kitchen is equipped with very nice appliances and includes everything you need for cooking. We loved Ella from the moment we met her....she is such an amazingly sweet pup. She soon got us trained to her amusingly quirky antics. She loved her long walks around the wonderful neighbourhood and on the beach almost as much as I did! EVERYONE we met wanted to pet her and have a chat. She is a great traveler in the car and we enjoyed taking her for a picnic outing to Savanna. She loves nothing more than to be with you and to be petted, and then petted some more.........😊 The whole Port Royal Plantation is absolutely delightful.....beautiful walking/biking paths everywhere, really friendly neighbours, walking distance to an incredible beach that stretches forever, pickleball courts, a very nice pool area (not warm enough though) and all covered by a canopy of huge trees covered in mossy vegetation. Thank you Lisa, Jack and Ella. We most definitely hope we get invited back again. 😊
We spent an extraordinary week at Sheila and Ian’s home. Both of them have been very welcoming, giving us local tips and we shared nice moments together (especially at the pub and when Sheila cooked succulent dishes). Zeus and Flash are very easy going cats with full autonomy when going out. Zeus never stops playing and talking. And Flash is found of cuddles. We became quick addicted to them. There are levels of cuteness and Pixie is the cream of the crop. An old grumpy bumbling lady but the sweetest - and super easy to look after once you wrap your head around her meds (it’s not as complicated as it seems - you just don’t want to get it wrong lol). I also found a kindred spirit in Mandi - she is such an extraordinary and lovely person. She allowed me to stay a few extra days while she was back home which was really helpful and made me feel super welcome and right at home. She was clear in communicating and very responsive. The space is lovely and has everything you need. It was a privilege to watch the honourable Pixie and get to know Mandi. I would definitely watch Pixie again in a heartbeat.
