We wanted to start our house sitting journey in July, and we were able to find a perfect match with this sit - we were able to book a flight ticket within 48 hours of first replying to Silvana sit which was very wild for our first experience with TrustedHousesitters. We did a videocall where we talked with Silvana & Agustin, they showed us their flat, and the star of this story, their cat Moflete, which we fell in love with immediately. Upon arriving we were greeted by all three in a very relaxed manner, getting to know each other for a few hours - we found this very valuable to build up trust in person and be 100% sure of all the instructions :) The flat itself was handed over to us very clean, and functional, there was prepared food in the fridge, water bottles, and lemons we requested (as we were fasting upon arrival). The flat is very spacious and has very good airflow that even during a heat wave in Valencia we did not have any problem, in the bedroom especially it is awesome. Now to the main star - Moflete - this cat is very friendly, playful, kind, and most of all, it can be seen that he is very GRATEFUL to have such awesome owners, its hard to describe in words but we definitely felt it - he has no interest at all in escaping, his favorite activities are being on the balcony, supervising everything, playing and cuddling. I believe we developed a bond with Moflete rather quickly, as both me and Erika were holding back a tear or two when it was time to say goodbye to Moflete. If we should rate it: Flat - 10/10, location is great, sleeping conditions are great, very clean, functional. Owners - 10/10, we were in contact daily, they deeply care about Moflete and are both very interesting people with lots of wisdom Cat - 10/10, very easy and pleasant to take care of, best cat ever. Caroline and Jaimie welcomed us warmly after a long drive up to their lovely home just outside Perth. We were pretty jetlagged after a longhaul flight but Caroline had prepared a lovely evening meal and introduced us to Finca the new puppy addition to the family and Sulu their ever patient and easy going older dog. Caroline and Jaimie left early in the morning but Caroline found the time to go to the local supermarket and get us some basics for the next day or two. We were absolutely overwhelmed by her consideration and generosity. Their home is situated in an amazing rural location with stunning views, close to the A9 and a couple of lovely Farm shops. At the time of our sit Fince was about 14 weeks old with boundless enery. Very friendly and responsive with just a tinge of naughtiness in her. Very delightful. Sulu is about 13 years old, deaf and amazingly laid back. Loves the car and happy to go along with the flow. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay despite the weather and thank Caroline and Jaimie for allowing us to look after their home, dogs and chickens
We really enjoyed our week in Edinburgh. Liz and Lee were friendly and welcoming and Liz cooked us an excellent meal on our first evening. Their house is spacious and comfortable, close to a shopping centre and the bus into the city is at the end of the road. Chester is a big bouncy, friendly dog. He needs his walks every day but is good on the lead. You do have to be able to handle a boisterous dog but he is great fun. Zowie is a sweet gentle dog who is quite frail. We mainly let her walk in the garden and she trots about the house. We would recommend this sit. Thank you Liz and Lee
Barbara is very kind and provided all the information I needed to take care of the house and dogs. The view from this house is the most amazing view in San Miguel. The house is a stunning example of Mexican architecture. Beautiful tile and stained-glass windows throughout. The house was clean and comfortable with some beautiful spots to sit and enjoy the view. It helps to be in good physical shape as the entrance to the house is up a very steep hill and the house itself is three levels. Blanca is an absolute sweetheart! Cooper is a fun-loving puppy that does require a little extra time for training. I would be happy to watch the dogs again if needed.
This was my first sit on this app and I had an absolutely amazing time sitting Stella! Stella is an amazing doggo with lots of love to give. We played catch every day, she was great with commands, and she loved to give “drive-by” kisses on your knees and calves haha! It was a fun time and I would definitely sit for Lloyd & Maggie again because Stella was awesome 👍
Sitting for Millie and Charlie was a fabulous experience. They have a beautiful family home on the edge of a village with dog walking routes from the back door across their own fields but with local amenities only minutes away. Rosie was a real sweetheart - very obedient and loving. She got used to our two golden retrievers very quickly and was happy for them to be around. We are excited to hear about the birth of her pups in a few weeks! We were able to get out about easily and did some great trips to climb some Lake District fells and to swim in the River Gelt. Millie communicated really well and left comprehensive hand over information. We loved looking after the veg patch and will miss the fresh salad every night! Highly recommend this sit!
