I had the pleasure to spend 3 weeks looking after Sandra's 2 kitties, lovely home, and the beautiful surroundings including fish, birds, and orchids. The cats are beautiful, but older and sleep a lot but when they are up they love to be brushed and have some attention. Keeping their litter box clean is easy, and the housekeeper helps by changing the box weekly. She and the gardener are very kind and devoted helpers that Sandra has had for awhile. The home is lovely and holds all the artifacts of many trips taken around the globe. It is also so conveniently located for everything you might want to do in the best part of LA. There are lots of yoga and pilates studios in the area if you like to work out, nice hiking in Santa Monica mountains, and I also caught up on all my medical appts in the area and visited the wonderful nearby Getty museaum. It was too cold for me to use it, but there is also a nice pool in the backyard too. Sandra has an informative guide for housesitters with all the details you will need to remember what to do when, she's a real pro at making it easy to come in and feel at home. Communication was easy and I enjoyed our time together before and after her trip. I hope there will be another opportunity in the future to enjoy the company of the 2 boys again!
We loved every minute of our sit. James and Luke are the most gracious hosts, their house is gorgeous, peaceful and cosy, and Holly and Bailey were the best companions. We loved hanging out with them truly miss them already! They make such a fun pair of friends and have a great bond. We spent hours sitting on the porch just watching them blissfully sniff around the beautiful (fenced in) garden and chasing butterflies. They are very easy to take care of. Bailey is the sweetest fluffy teddy bear, content, playful, passionately running around after her ball. Holly will melt your heart. She is more shy at first but warms up quickly and followed us around, looking at us with her soulful eyes, wagging her tail and asking for pets (or hoping for treats:)). If she needs her space, she retreats to her favorite spot on the couch and rests. They both definitely know how to make the most of their outdoor time, burning energy exploring every nook of the yard. They loved showing us their favorite spots in the back garden and going on their daily patrol of the neighborhood but they were also happy patiently napping inside until their next round of outdoor adventure. James and Luke were incredibly kind and welcoming, left us thorough instructions for pet and house care and genuinely went out of their way to make our stay easy and comfortable (including kindly helping us with transportation). They were always available for questions, quick to respond, gave us a helpful tour of the -spotless- gem of a house upon arriving and had great recommendations on places to visit in the area. We hope to be back soon to meet Casper the cat and spend more time with Holly and Bailey!
Stephanie's flat is super cute and what a great location! She was very helpful and knowledgeable about the surrounding area, very easy to get along with and nice to chat with. I absolutely loved taking care of Tigger and Noodle, they are very well behaved and such fun to play with! Noodle liked to lay on my chest and Tigger loved the toy I brought him. Thanks Stephanie and family for making me feel welcome in your home
We had a very lovely time with Jack and at Vincenzo's home. He was so welcoming and friendly. We had a lovely evening together the night before he left where we learned a lot about his hometown and Jack! Jack was such a sweet boy, he had a fun personality and is such a talker! That made it easy for us to know he needed something (usually it was for us to play with him)! We will miss Jack and hope to keep in touch with Vincenzo! Thank you both!
