Val was a superb sitter, and I can't recommend her highly enough. When we first communicated about my home and my elderly cat, I was impressed both with her sensitivity and her meticulous attention to details. She asked excellent questions to ascertain what I wanted and expected, what Lily needed, and more. Val knew that I didn't need to see pictures every day, but she thoughtfully sent photos the first evening, showing that Lily had bonded with her quickly. And the next day I was assured with both pictures and words that Lily was eating well. Val was very considerate, tidy, and in fact left the house cleaner than it was when I went away. And I came home to a content, nicely brushed and very well cared for cat. I am very grateful that she came to my home.

CEDRIC
Coco and Lulu are lovely dogs. They are gentle, friendly, well-behaved, and rarely bark. They are healthy and in good shape: Coco, being a little older, seems more tired after a lengthier walk, but they are both happy to settle down at home after exercise. Both dogs seemed happy with good walks in nature - there was no need to throw balls, sticks, etc. There are dog-walking areas close-by that are fenced and free of deer and livestock. The girls loved running around exploring these areas.

Cedric and Heather are incredibly nice people. They are clearly well-liked by their neighbours too, and we met some of their friends when we were walking Coco and Lulu - an energetic interaction of dogs ensued!

Communications with Cedric and Heather were good - questions were responded to promptly. We were met by Cedric when we arrived and made to feel welcome. Our room was ready and was very comfortable. We enjoyed a delicious meal together in the evening.

The garden is extensive and beautiful, bordered by tall trees and a small stream. We picked fresh raspberries every morning for our breakfast. Coco and Lulu picked their own.
We really enjoyed our stay.

Debra
Fantastic sit, one of the best I've had! Dude is a very handsome kitty and warmed up to me quickly. Expect lots of cuddles and nuzzles. He gave me a 5:30 wake-up call on my first morning but I think he was just testing me; he expects to eat closer to 7 and generally will let you sleep in until then. He had one or two small barfies but was generally easy and predictable to care for.

The house is fantastic and you won't be uncomfortable. Debra is a gracious, outgoing host. They do get a lot of mail and packages so you will want to keep up with collecting it, and depending on the season there is some housework you may want to tend to, such as watering the plants and filling the bird feeders.

No matter the time of year you won't lack for anything to do in Breck; I did a lot of walking on the trails in town and hiked all the way up to the Peak 8 summit from the house. Would love to be back!

Thank you John and Anne for opening your beautiful house in one of the beautiful areas we’ve been too. Wonderful walking trails to do with the dogs, we would love to sit again if the opportunity ever arises.

We absolutely loved our sit for Alex and Ed. They welcomed us warmly on the first night, kindly rewarding me with supper after a long drive.

Maud is a bright, energetic, friendly and fun-loving dog. She has boundless energy and loves walks and to be thrown the ball. She was easy to walk on the lead, not tugging and waiting patiently whilst we crossed stiles. She was amazing with my 6 and 9 year old.

Fred is the best cat I’ve ever met. Not only is he very handsome and soft, he also likes to be stroked and is happy being picked up - again even by children. He was very straightforward to look after.

The house is absolutely beautiful and in a tranquil countryside setting. There are award winning wineries on the doorstep, great shopping at Tenterden (10 mins) or Rye (20 mins), and you can see the sun set at Camber Sands.

It’s a great sit and we’d love to return!

Charles & Claudette
What a wonderful visit to Santa Fe ………’Land of Enchantment’.
Super hosts, Charles and Claudette, friendly,generous, warm hearted and welcoming.

I want to say thank you;

For choosing me, trusting me to care for your gorgeous, lively ladies, Thelma & Louise. Thank you for kindly offering to help me get around Santa Fe and for keeping in touch with me throughout your trip. For welcoming me into your family home and for your amazing hospitality.

As the song goes, these are a few of my favourite things;
Thelma and Louise , pretty, dainty, and playful………love their toys. The infamous rail yard that hosts the Saturday market, only a ten minute walk. The historic plaza, a short ride on the hourly No 4 bus just outside the door (or half hour walk if you prefer), for shopping, a spot of lunch or just a coffee. While away the hours people watching in the leafy shade of the plaza…….. serenaded by strolling musicians. Turn the corner and immerse yourself in world class museums and gallery’s…… Don’t forget to pick up the Family and STEP pass from the local library ( for free entry into museums) as well as a plethora of local history books ( thank you for lending me your library card, Claudette ❤️). Get your intellectual fix from the Santa Fe Institute…..the talks are on line too. Let Santa Fe opera enchant you and Desert choral overwhelm you with power of 24 beautiful voices.
Sunday a day of rest……. Not at ‘Cowgirl’ dance the afternoon away …….. but don’t spill your cool beer😉
You need to be an early riser to catch the bus to Taos ( it’s free)…….. cute shops, organic cafes and some must see historic buildings……… and if you’ve ever wondered about Albuquerque, take the rail runner from South Capitol station ( a short walk from the house). Free on Wednesday, if you’re lucky enough to be 60+
Pssst Did I mention that Trader Joe’s and Organic food store are both a short walk away😉 ( travel pass $10 per month if you’re over 60)

I would always be tempted back by;
Your generous hospitality, your genuineness and kindness, comfy bed, the bus stop just outside the door, your well stocked kitchen and gadgets, oh, did I mention Netflix, and comfy sofa. The cool shade of your private yard, while enjoying the pretty flowers, visiting birds and butterflies……… don’t forget Claudette’s delicious salad………there for the picking.
The delightful ladies, Thelma & Louise, the stars of the show…….. they’ll steal your heart🥰

 5* hosts, 5* location ❤️
