Floki & Ziggy truly stole my heart! I was grateful to have their company as I worked from the house most days. Floki usually staying close to the house and Ziggy a bit more independent, both enjoyed evening lap pets and jumping on the desk while I worked! Always obliged to be distracted by their sweetness. Getting to know each of their personalities was truly special. The home is beautiful and peaceful in the redwoods, Javi & Seba were very kind and provided the necessary instructions for care. I recommend this sit, and hope to stay again soon ✨
Andrew is a really nice guy, he has detailed instructions on how to look after his incredible house. The instructions are clear and concise and he is always available quickly if I have any questions. Jinx, the dog, is one for he friendliest cutest little dogs out there. His cats are stunning and easy to manage and fun to play with. I instantly felt comfortable at Andrews and was very grateful to look after such a lovely place owned by a great person who I feel is keen to allow me to enjoy also his home. A really great experience.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Barnes - Rocco and Sidney are great little dogs (and very affectionate), the house is fabulous and very comfortable, Isabel is lovely and the location is superb! Most of our twice-daily walks were straight out of the front door, with beautiful parks and shaded woodlands within easy reach on foot. Overall, a very enjoyable experience!
This was a great sit! Tuk Tuk and Carl were very easy to take care of. House is in a great location to go into DC to explore. It was quiet and clean.
Very comfortable sit ! Loved the master bedroom and infinity tub. Sunshine was a cute doggo that followed me everywhere! One of the cats is special needs so you need to be ok with wiping off pee from the floor. But not a big deal! Dan and Suzin were very nice. Only took about 30 minutes to get into Austin and there are heaps of things to do around dripping springs ! Thanks again Dan and Suzin !

We are so grateful to have found this business! Every Wednesday we send our dog, Finn, to doggy daycare. Finn usually hates car rides, but when Brooke or Leah come to the door we can hardly get him in his harness before he’s running out the door to hop in their cars! The dogs in their care are very well taken care of, get to run around the yard all day, and come home exhausted! We also LOVE that we get pictures and videos texted to us throughout the day! This place is amazing!! 100% would recommend to anyone with an active dog that needs to be exercised regularly, or even if you have an easygoing pup who may be an only child and needs some social interaction :)

Specifically: I have been withholding writing this review for fear that Heather would become too busy and not be available when I need her, but my senior dog (Zeus) has crossed the rainbow bridge, so it is time. Heather is one of the best dog walkers and people I have had the pleasure of getting to know these past two years. Going above and beyond just seems to be ingrained in who she is as a person. For the past roughly two years Heather walked Zeus 4-5 times a week, catering each walk to Zeus's needs. Toward the end, Zeus could not handle a 30 minute walk and really needed help eating. Heather happily started taking him on shorter walks and using the remaining time to hand feed Zeus his wet food while sitting on my floor because that's what worked best for Zeus. She always sent me detailed updates about how Zeus was doing, and you could tell Zeus really loved her (both through how she'd describe his behavior in her notes from walks and because when I had her come over while I was home, Zeus got excited to see her and went to the door for their usual routine). She definitely pours her heart and soul into this job, and I am forever grateful. She treated my dog like her own in every way, and I could not recommend her enough.

I had a fantastic experience using For the Love of Dogs when I recently went on vacation. First of all, Leah has a great system for getting you all set up to use their services. She was very responsive and the process was very simple. Then I had an introductory meeting with my pet caretaker, Debbie, to get her introduced to my five kitties and show her around my house. Debbie was awesome! She obviously loves animals and is committed to providing excellent care. I had no doubt my cats were in great hands. While I was away, I received daily text updates with pictures which really put my mind at ease! Next time I travel I will definitely be calling FTLOD and highly recommend them to anyone with a pet!

This company is hands down the best in Home dog sitting/ walking service there is in this area. The owner Leah was absolutely a pleasure to work with. Leah was incredibly professional and made everything easy with scheduling, payment, and understanding expectations. The dog sitter we had was Melissa and she was amazing! She communicated with us each time she arrived at the home, and sent us pictures. The dogs adored her. They honestly were so spoiled by the attention and love they received from Melissa, that after we got home they waited at the door for her to come back. Our dogs had just as much of a vacation as we did because of her. Lastly, the pricing that this company charges is more than fair. For the amount of walks, cuddles and time spent with someone in the comfort of your own home, what you pay is a steal. Please use this company if you are looking for in home pet sitting or walking. Great service, great people to work with and our dogs were super happy with the love and attention they received. We used For the Love Of Dogs training for our 8 month old beagle puppy. He was very dominate and thought he was in charge in the house. We needed help fast. I was pregnant, and had fears of bringing an infant into the house with the way the dog behaved. He was unpredictable. Miranda was our trainer. She quickly took charge and showed us how to train and teach our dog Louie. Louie is now submissive and loving little guy. I am no longer afraid to bring a new born into our house. For the love of Dogs helped us in so many ways!!! They were professional and understanding. Which is exactly what we needed. I would recommend them to anyone having dog issues or a dog sitter.
The entire team at Leah's company is second to none. They have taken care of my now 2 year, 4 month old puppy since I got her when she was just less than 4 months old. My dog Sadie goes here for regular baths and nail clipping. She is always happy to go so I know they treat her well. She comes out smelling and looking well groomed and wagging her tail! The staff is always friendly and genuinely care for your furry baby!
Our Dalmatian, Neuhaus loves his visits so much when he sees me packing up his food & toys the whimpering begins. He really enjoys the play time with his friends and we love the Pet Cam! It makes our vacation less stressful knowing he is having fun in a safe loving environment.

Over the past few years I boarded my dogs at Best Friends for weekend or week long stays. Having the opportunity to “check in” via video is a terrific addition to the boarding service. My dogs have always been happy when they realized they were going to spend time at Best Friends. Their reaction as we entered the doors made me feel they had a good time during previous visits. My two golden doodles were well taken care as first time boarders by very experienced staff that were highly responsive to the individual needs of my dogs. Planning, drop off, and pick up were well coordinated and timely. I will definitely be using Best Friends Pet Hotel in the future and highly recommend their services.

Our pooch loves Best Friends like it's her second home. We've been boarding our dog here for about 3 years and the staff has always been phenomenal. Everyone is very friendly and it's a very welcoming environment. I admittedly get nervous when my dog and other dogs "meet," but she always does great at group play at Best Friends. I don't know what kind of magic they work but I get a little bit of a "training session" myself each time I chat with the staff at Best Friends when I pick her up. They're all great people and willing to provide helpful tips.
From my experience Best Friends always keeps our dog happy safe and well fed during his trips there. Anytime I have a concern or question or change in schedule they always try to accommodate. They love seeing Charlie’s face when he arrives and their new groomer has bonded with him which is not easy to do!!!
Best Friends is our ultimate doggy destination! My German shepherd Moon is so excited to attend the day camp at Best Friends, he practically pulls me through the door. Moon has such a blast playing with his furry friends and the staff who clearly adore dogs, and always comes home happy and ready to conk out for a well-deserved nap. And thanks to the clean environment - NO doggy daycare funk!! We have also used Best Friends for longer stays, and Moon always comes back the same tired, happy pup. Knowing that he is having fun and being well cared for allows us to relax and enjoy our time away.
Jack and his associate did a fantastic job looking in on my cat while I was away for a week. She is used to my almost constant presence, so it is hard for her when I am not there. But, she adapted to Jack and Michelle very well, which helped her to be less anxious. They are consummate professionals, and I would recommend them to anyone. This is my second experience with their great service, and I will be back!
My wife and I have a cat who, while adorable, is rambunctious to say the least. He's friendly around people but is picky about play and how he is petted. And I would certainly hate to leave him alone! But Jack, Michelle, and Asher take such great care of him that I've been coming back ever since we first tried out Your Pet's Best Friend while we went on a vacation. I particularly appreciate the communication I receive--daily texts, videos, and questions about what to do in certain scenarios tell me that my little furry guy is being taken care of each day he is visited. I also really enjoy that during the warmer months, Jack will water plants. Thanks to him we had some very successful tomato yields! I also appreciate that traditional peak times--Thanksgiving/Christmas/etc--are not a problem for checking up. Last minute availability is also not a problem; I've given Jack sometimes as little as 24 hours notice and he's been able to accommodate watching our cat. Jack was exceedingly professional at our first meeting, and he asks all the questions you would hope that someone watching your pet would ask. You can't go wrong if you need a sitter for the day, for a weekend, or even for a month (all lengths of time I've used him for). I highly recommend if you're looking for someone to care for your furry friends.
I have been using Jack for midday visits to my home since January of 2018. I remember when he came over for the first time to meet me and my animals. I was interviewing a few different people, and Jack was the one that exuded confidence and professionalism. I felt like I could trust him with my two rambunctious pit bulls, which required a higher degree of responsibility. The choice was pretty easy. Not only does he provide great care to the resident dogs, he is always accommodating to the many senior foster dogs that I have had over the years. He texts me after every visit, and his narratives are detailed and frequently humorous. He is proactive about holidays and asks if he is needed or not, and always gives plenty of notice for his vacations. I have no reservations about recommending Jack for pet care needs.
Your Pet’s Best Friend has been walking my dogs on workdays since 2016. I’m so happy with their services - always friendly and reliable. And most importantly - My dogs love them! I should be embarrassed to admit this, but since I don't have children, it's fair to say I treat my dogs as if they were my kids. Jack has been there for all our dog walking and pet-sitting needs. If I'm working late, it's comforting knowing our pups are getting a walk and fresh air during the day. Jack's fantastic and has always been flexible if we need a sitter for the day or overnight. Jack's affordable, quick to respond (even when I have a last-minute request), and he takes his work seriously. You can tell his love of animals is genuine and he provides little notes and updates on our pups (who took care of business, where they went) and is reliable and trustworthy. My dogs love him! And they love only the best people (actually, they love everyone and Jack is no exception).
Jack is amazing. I have a rescue cat who does not do well when I leave him for extended periods of time. Jack was SO patient and caring with my cat while I was gone. Jack takes his job seriously and would send me a daily update every morning which eased my anxiety for leaving my cat so long. Cannot say enough good things about Jack and I would highly recommend!

When dogs chew the plastic, it needs to be replaced, when they have an accident, it needs to be cleaned immediately, so they n employees don’t fall. Aggressive dogs can not be mixed in, you end up at hospital. If someone that knows what they are talking about offers suggestions, listen. Keep dogs moving, people want dogs having fun, playing, interacting, unless they can’t n are elderly. When they come home from work they are tired and their dog should be happy to see them but also feel like they had a busy day. Not , gee! Me, me, me, let’s walk n play for hours now, I had hours of boredom while you were at work! No non spayed or neutered, all shots. If any chance of illness…no do not endanger 50 for 1. The location has the ability to be wonderful. N children should not be brought in to middle to lay around n play with dogs. It is a business, dogs are wonderful animals but once you put 5 together anything can happen. It’s not a child day care a I repeat, kids do not belong on the floor with clients dogs. If a dog bites once you are putting him at risk for bitting again. Step on them, if you bang into them n they have cancer n you don’t know it, a nice dog will bite. You now created an issue for dog owner because you thought it would be fun to have your kids on the floor of a dog day care/ boarding business.
Very expensive for a fair job. I left it to the groomer’s discretion and although my girl was very pretty when I picked her up, they barely cut any hair. i will need to bring her for a haircut elsewhere and pay a nominal fee. Anyway $95 dollars for a wash and a trim for a 10 pound dog is absurd. I will not be returning. Chris and Zoe

I have two rescue dogs who I have to board occasionally, they have high anxiety and we have had bad experiences at previous places but I feel so comfortable leaving my dogs at Fuzzy Butts. It is clear all of the staff I have met care so much for the dogs here and treat them as their own. My dogs who hate going places, love going here even to board! The staff are so accommodating and they communicate so well during their stay.
Our daniff goes to fuzzy butts for regular daycare and boarding. When we get out of the car he runs to the front door and is genuinely excited to see everyone and spend time with his other doggie friends. He had major separation anxiety and a very particular diet due to his size (he needs three meals plus a day) and fuzzy butts has been more than accommodating. The staff are extremely friendly and we love the daily picture updates!

Been taking our pups here since 2009 and we all love it! Our pups always come home exhausted from their play! The staff evaluate the dogs to ensure a good fit and friendly atmosphere. They are so sweet and treat our pups like family - so caring and loving. They also offer boarding and grooming services and we recommend those as well. The hours are great and pricing very reasonable. They've been super flexible when we've had a last minute ask for a weekend boarding. We're so lucky and appreciative to have found this gem years ago. I've been a customer here for 14 years, with 4 dogs over those years. My dogs have always loved this place, where they have lots of room to run around, lots of toys to play with, and people who truly love them and get to know each dog. They celebrate birthdays, Santa comes for Christmas pictures, and there is nothing better than Halloween at Bark Avenue! The staff is great, the place is spotless, and my dogs are nice and tired at the end of the day!
We are extremely satisfied with Bark Avenue. The staff is so friendly and welcoming. I feel so at ease whenever i drop off my dog because i know that hes going to be in good hands. Sometimes they even post photos or videos on their facebook feed and every once in a while i get to see my pup running around. It makes my day knowing that hes happy and playing with other dogs. I also love that they split up the dogs by energy level, not just size, so i know my small dog is around other pups who wont be too aggressive with him. Im so happy i found this place. And i know my dog loves it too, because he gets so exciting when we ask him if hes ready to go to "school".
So great to be back at Bark Avenue! We moved and started taking our Basset Hound to another day camp. Not sayin’ nothin’ but the name of the franchise rhymes with “Messed Ends” Rather than go into all the problems with them, I’d like to list just a few of the ways in which Bark Avenue distinguishes themselves from the aforementioned chain. 1. Bark Avenue retains customers and staff 2. They recognized Ike (after a 3 year absence) and welcomed him back with great warmth and enthusiasm. 3. Their hours are much more convenient 4. When Ike is bathed or gets his nails trimmed (by Marydean) the work is noticeable. 4. Best of all the director and staff seem to genuinely enjoy the dogs! Bark Avenue is not fancy or pretentious, but we trust them implicitly to care for our “best friend.”

My licensed therapy dog was bit terribly. Then, they try to make it sound like it was my dog's fault. My dog is very friendly and has NEVER had an incident. I'm now sitting at the animal hospital because my dog has severe wounds from the attack. Never again!

Love this place! We have been taking our dogs for years and they always come home happy and tired. We know they are well loved.
Our dog Sydney loves going gets her out of the house and socialize with other dogs and a great staff also!! Highly recommend!!
About five years ago, I received a recommendation to use Shawe’s Paws. I had just rescued my dog Charlie and needed a dog walker during the days. Jenn at Shawe’s Paws was there from Charlie’s first walk and is still walking Charlie today! Not only is Jenn friendly, reliable and loves Charlie as if she was her own, but she knows how to handle Charlie’s quirks and personality. I feel 110% comfortable using Shawe’s Paws, they are trustworthy, dependable, flexible and I know my dog is always well-taken care of during her mid-day walks!! ❤️❤️❤️
Jen is truly one of the best dog walkers out there. Our dog Oscar is obsessed with her - to the point where she tries to walk quietly by our house if she's going to walk our neighbor's dog so he doesn't hear her! On Oscar's first birthday, I was traveling for work and Jen took Oscar to the store to get him a birthday cake toy. It's the smaller, thoughtful things like this that make her irreplaceable in our pup's life. She also takes super cute pictures (attached) and sends an email about how each walk went. She makes leaving Oscar for work trips less hard because I know that he'll be so excited to see her when she comes for his walk!
Jen and the Shawe's team have been walking my family's dogs for 7 years or so. They have always gone above and beyond to accommodate shifting schedules, schedule or cancel on short notice, and even pick up the phone to talk about any pet concerns we might have (unrelated to them! just for advice!). My pup Ollie loves seeing his walkers and I could not do my job without the peace of mind that someone responsible will come take him out and play with him while I work. Bonus - they take the best pics of my little guy while they visit!

We have had an incredibly positive experience with Jen and her team at Shawe's Paws! When we first moved to Philadelphia, our dog was very shy and timid around walkers that we would hire through various apps, but then Jen came and saved the day. She goes above and beyond to make Benji comfortable and now he gets excited when we just say her name. They send photos and updates during the walks, they make scheduling so easy and they are very accommodating! We have also had positive experiences with a few other members on her team! Everyone at Shawe's Paws is reliable, trustworthy and they all just love Dogs! We would recommend their company to everyone!
I have been using Shawe’s Paws for over a year now and have nothing but amazing things to say about the company!! After several bad experiences with other dog walking services, finding Jennifer was such a relief! My furbaby is in love with her and her assigned walker, Jake. She is always accommodating and treats my dog as if she is her own. Their app makes scheduling and paying so easy. I highly recommend Shawe’s Paws!
I’ve used Jen and her walkers for over 5 years now and I honestly would never use any other dog walking service in Philly. She is trustworthy, reliable, AND LOVES all of her dogs. And my dog absolutely loves her dog walkers, as I’ve been able to see a couple times when my dog will go running toward them, tail wagging if we happen to bump into them on the street. Jen uses an easy-to-use app to schedule walks/pay invoices and to see the daily walk reports which is super convenient. Also Jen makes herself available for every client and will always try her best to accommodate any late requests - I can’t tell you the number of times I’ve had to put in a last minute request for a same-day dog walk or for an overnight stay the week-of and Jen will always make it work. Aside from that, it’s great to get pictures of my dog on her walk while I’m at work - I truly never have to worry Sophie when I’m not at home because I know she’s in such great hands. Jen and her team has been taking care of our dog since he was brought into our family as a puppy! From consistent walks, amazing walkers and just all around dog people to overnight stays, she has been there for us throughout his life (and will be for the many years yet to come)! Jen is understanding and flexible with last minute changes, which for us happen a lot! Her walkers leave a note about their walk every time and even text/call us from time to time with updates. I have never noticed a thing out of place in out of place after a walker left. The Shawe's Paws team is the only team I trust to take the best care of our dog! Both my wife and I HIGHLY recommend them for all of your dog care need! If you live in Philly and have a dog, CALL JEN!
Jen has been in my dog's life for years (even though we've since moved to the suburbs.) She and her staff are flexible, reliable, and they LOVE their charges/pets. They truly understand my quirky, sweet dachshund and he loves them for it. He even got to sleep over Jen's house!! Jen is super responsive and capable and she chooses excellent staff members. I could go on and on, cannot recommend highly enough!
There is absolutely no one I would trust more with our pups than Shawe's Paws. They are fantastic and dependable for daily walks, and they are there for you if you need to travel without your dog. Shawe's email updates provide you with a story about your dog's walk and a number of pictures as well. We have been a client for six years now. We have no idea what we would do without Shawe's Paws!
We have been taking our Bernedoodle puppy to Tailwaggers for all of her grooming over the past 7 months, and the experience has been absolutely fantastic! The staff has always been warm, and genuinely welcoming with our pup. They take the time to explain grooming needs and styles, when we first began the grooming process. The grooming itself is always top-notch! Our pup comes out looking great—her coat is soft, fluffy, and perfectly trimmed. It’s clear that the groomers pay attention to every detail especially leaving her eyelashes long per our son’s request, and even taking care to ensure our pup was comfortable throughout the process. When she’s done she comes out to us with her tail wagging, which says it all! We highly recommend Tailwaggers to anyone looking for a professional, caring, and skilled groomers, especially when people stop us on walks to ask where she’s groomed!
Switched to Tailwaggers from another place and absolutely love them!! Have had our dog Lucy there a few times and she always comes out looking great!! Atmosphere is happy and caring, and I know we're leaving her in the best of hands. Thank you Tailwaggers!!
This is my review. An opinion about what happened. There are 3 sides to a story, my side, her side, & the truth. The pictures say for itself. I took my beautiful golden retriever to the wilmington delaware location & i scheduled him a full groom, bath, etc. i told her i wanted him nicely cut & showed her what i wanted off, i showed her WITH MY DOGS FUR & MY FINGERS a HALF inch off, she went in the back then came back out & said “ok im going to do a puppy cut”. I didnt know what a puppy cut was & she did not explain it to me so i reiterated how i just wanted a little off so he could look nice & when she said a puppy cut after i explained that i agreed because i thought she understood what i was talking about. I get a call that hes almost done so i drive there to hear my dog crying from outside. He was behind the counter & he was completely shaved. I said how horrible he looked & she got mad & started yelling at me. My dog came out with his head down & has not eaten & its been 2 days! I looked in his ears & there was blood, she knicked him and didn't even tell me. He is so sad. She showed me a valentines day picture of him & i asked for it so that i could post it on facebook to show how horrible he looks. I posted on facebook & everyone commented saying he looks butchered. I said i didn't like the cut & she began yelling at me after i politely said i will not be coming back. Looking at the reviews that others posted about abuse, i have no doubt she did that to mine as well considering he hasn't gotten out of bed, hasn't eaten, & looks so incredibly sad. She is threatening me saying she has a lawyer & is going to sue for slander lol. Not slander, just telling my truth. She says she has video so i called her & said id take my bad review down if i saw the video of him being groomed but she began screaming at me like a child. Even if i did ask for a puppy cut, she did not even touch the head or tail???? I will never be going back here lol
I have been bringing my dogs to tailwaggers since 2005. The staff are extremely friendly, very knowledgeable, and will definitely work around your schedule. They are so warm and kind and very patient with all your beloved pets. They even do my daughter's dog who would not let anyone near her to cut her nails. They told me she was so good. They are dog whispers. I highly recommend them.
So here is a before and after pictures of miss pumpkin. She had some matting going on due to running through some bushes outside. These girls were very friendly and professional and they did an amazing job. The little shop is absolutely adorable. I would definitely recommend them prices weren't super bad either compared to some places I tried going. Hopefully I won't need the service again but if I do this is definitely where I am going to go. Thanks a lot guys for all being patient and having great customer service. Oh and the shop has adorable clothing for the pets and a good variety of products.
We love it here. My Chow is very uneasy with people but enjoys getting groomed here. She looks great!
Amazing, quick service. My dog is on the larger side and HATES getting his nails clipped. Groomers know their dog behavior to a T! Highly recommend if you have an anxious dog. Don’t allow negative reviews to influence your decision to bring fur baby here! They specialize in maintenance services such as nail trims, ear cleaning, wash+blow dry, and anal gland expressions. They respect the decisions of owners as well as disclosing any potential issues or complications prior to the services being performed. If you’re looking for pedigree-tier results, book a private grooming specialist. I’ve been bringing my baby Burt here for years, and hope other larger pups get to experience Tail Waggers no-stress environment.
Could not be happier with this place of business. My baby Fillis is a large breed and finding somewhere that makes her comfortable is tough to do. The ladies working were incredibly kind and clearly love what they do. I already have friends looking to use them. Bonus! She came home with a report card which will forever live on our fridge ❤️
Had our 6 year old Siberian kitty there for a lion shave (it’s shedding season and I am about to have a baby so we needed a cut that will last all summer.) Booking was really easy on the app even as a new customer. Staff was so friendly. They managed to get all of her hard to reach knots and trim her nails. She looks so cute and is so happy now.
I don’t like creating this kind or reviews, but I feel like it was needed. The service I can’t complain, it was good but the customer service on the other hand, wow!!! I went there because my wife told me she was scream at (in front of other customers) when she dropped our dog, and I just wanted to be there when we picked him up. I tried to be as calm as possible, when I got there and I was told how much it was and she started to tell me that she wanted my dog to come back in September to what I responded I did not plan to bring it back. (This should have being where the conversation ended). Well, this is where she got nasty. She started yelling at me and saying many things that I think were not needed to be said, I got my dog and started heading to the door and she started to get really confrontational, she started to get close to me still yelling at me to what I decided to not get more into it and leave. I work in customer service and I have never seeing an employee of a business being so nasty to a customer as bad as this. To be clear in case it is blamed on my dog behavior (which I still don’t think is granted) she could have refused to work on him (not yelling to my wife) and also I was charged for the behavior and I did not complain about it.
