I call myself very lucky that I recently had the opportunity to look after Mischa and Maxi for Alison in Ealing for one week. Both Mischa and Maxi are very relaxed, easy-going and independent cats who are easy to take care of and fun to spend time with. While they like to nap most of the day, they also have an energetic and playful side to them, and they really seem to enjoy playing sessions in the evenings. They're also really cuddly (and have the softest fur you can imagine), and I loved that both of them slept in bed with me at night. :) Before the house sit, I met Alison in a video call and she explained the cats' routine and everything of importance to me. Alison's a very nice, hospitable and welcoming person, and she also left a little hand-written welcome guide which made the house sit easier for me. Our communication before, during and after the house sit was always perfect. I also met her in person at the end of my house sit, and she was so kind to give me a lift to the train station which was really helpful! Furthermore, Alison is living in a cozy and bright apartment in a great location in Ealing, with the local high street, bars, restaurants, supermarkets, public transport and nice parks all in walking distance. The apartment itself has all amenities you could ask for including reliable wifi, a fully equipped kitchen, a washing machine, a nice bedroom with a comfy large bed, and the highlight is an amazingly huge rooftop terrace where you can enjoy the sunshine. To make a long story short: I highly recommend any fellow house sitters to look after Mischa and Maxi for Alison if you get the chance! :) Thank you for the great house sitting experience, Alison! I really loved looking after your two furbabies and I can't wait to return should there be another possibility! For now, all the best! :)
I had a blast hanging out with Indy. He has lots of energy and is very silly. The area is great for walks. The gated community is completely paved with only a few small hills. If you want to be more in nature, the trails along the coast are very flat and views are stunning. If you’re an early riser, you can even take Indy for a walk on the golf course before it’s open. The home is beautiful and has all the amenities you could want. It’s a very peaceful and calm environment and I would happily watch Indy anytime.
Hugo, Josie and of course Ronnie were all absolutely lovely to deal with! They recommended a quick visit before the sit began in order to meet Ronnie and let him get acquainted with me, which was a great idea as he was much calmer on the second meeting (I live locally so this was no issue). Their place is cosy, homey and clean, and nearby both Jericho Beach and Pacific Spirit park so it's in a great spot for long walkies! Everything I needed to know about Ronnie was shared beforehand and he was generally very well behaved, a truly lovely dog (though his 'fetch' skills were a little questionable! Haha). I'd absolutely recommend this little family to anyone looking for a calm oasis to explore some of the most gorgeous parts of Kitsilano with a four legged friend 🐾
Debbie had everything laid out beautifully! The cats were just as she described with their own unique personality. Awesome sit! Totally recommend and hope to do it again :)
Shelley and Marc were excellent hosts. When we arrived they gave us a very informative tour of the home and all the information we needed to care for their pets. All the pets were friendly and well behaved. We had lots of great walks around their spacious property, as well as the surrounding area. Osoyoos is a wonderful town with lots of outdoor activity. We had a great time and would highly recommend this sit.
It was a pleasure sitting for Lek. She is easy to care for and likes attention and affection (on her terms). Once she gets to know you, she will sleep with you for a little bit each night. Debby was very welcoming. She has a beautiful apartment in a great neighborhood. Easy walking to anything I needed during my stay. I really enjoyed my time sitting for Debby and Lek.
