Hazel
Before our pet sit I had a very friendly video call with Hazel and she answered all questions in advance always friendly and fast.
In her home she welcomed us very friendly and open-minded. Everything was nicely prepared for us, so it was easy for us to feel like home. Hazel was an uncomplicated hostess who did not expect many messages during our stay, although she seemed grateful for receiving short updates or fotos of her dogs. We felt her trust in us and made great efforts not to disappoint her.

Lincoln and Phoenix are very well-behaved and absolutely adorable dogs! 💞 We were very pleased with their affection in the form of occasional cuddles. In the house they liked to be near us without being intrusive. What should be mentioned at this point is that they are used to sleep in the bedroom next to the bed, so the door should be open at all times. This didn't bother us, but perhaps subsequent sitters will want to know in advance.

Vizslas are very strong dogs, which made it sometimes difficult for us to keep them well on the leash because they have pulled. Therefore, it is an advantage if you do not arrive alone as a sitter, unless you are strong enough or have experience with this breed. Due to the hunting instinct, we were a little nervous at first to let them off the leash. However, Hazel gave us helpful tips beforehand and they respond really well to calls, even if they disappear briefly from view. You can see Hazel's good training here, so a free run is not a problem.
During our stay it was very hot, so we preferred to go out without the dogs to protect them from the heat. They can be left alone for a few hours without any problems, which gives you some freedom as a sitter.

Overall we had four wonderful days wir Lincoln and Phoenix! 😍
Thank you so much, dear Hazel, for making our first Housesitting experience so positive! All the best for you, your family and the dogs. Hope to see you again one day!

Rhea
Rhea’s home is amazing and beautiful! It was a rare treat to stay there.

The location is perfect and near lots of the sites that make Kansas City such a great city.

Rhea was a great host and oriented me to her home and cat with clear and easy instructions.

Her cat Rhett is majestic and handsome, and very easy to care for. I enjoyed getting to know him.

I would definitely recommend Rhea and Rhett to anyone for a housesit in the future!

Kelsey & Ben
I had the best time at Kelsey and Ben’s place! Was only able to meet Ben in person, and he gave me a quick tour of the apartment, and how to take care of everything. They have the welcome guide printed out, and everything was super easy to follow.
Ame & Taiyo are amazing! After one night, Taiyo slept cuddled to my arm throughout the night <3 . Ame took a bit more to warm up to me, but when she did, she came around for pets and kept me company while I worked.
The apartment is super complete, and a few mins away by foot to Lake Merritt, which is beautiful, as well as to BART into San Francisco.
Thanks for everything, and would love to stay here again guys!

We loved our sit with Archie!

He's a very special dog and generated so many smiles throughout our stay. Archie spends most of his day patrolling the garden and is famed in Regent's Park for his fluffy cuteness! We loved taking him on walks through the park, along the canal and even a few times up Primrose Hill. He's extremely funny, and will make you laugh as he swerves past tourists as they try to take photos of him, in order to chase his favourite thing: squirrels!

Anthony, his dad, was super kind and communicative. The house itself is incredibly special and so convenient to be in the heart of London. We certainly hope to come back!

Noreen
We were allowed to spend five days at Noreen's rescue farm; the personal contact was very pleasant and Noreen was very caring.
Although we were Noreen's first house and pet sitters, she gave a clear introduction and prepared everything well to make as little work for us as possible.
For example, Noreen pre-cooked for our first dinner and for all the dogs' meals. For the five horses, we only had to open two gates to let them to their hay feeding place (back, of course, it took a bit more effort because they would have liked to stay there - but even there it worked very well the way she showed).
After a short time of getting used to them, we could move around the horse pastures without any problems, and depending on their temperament, the five of them gradually made contact and even let us groom them (which we were not expected to do!).
The two dogs quickly accepted us, sought closeness (they loved cuddling three of us on the sofa!) and were happy to go for walks together (both on the two ends of a long leash) on quiet roads and paths in the wonderful countryside surrounded by hills. Metta, the female Whippet, is not so fond of meeting other dogs or cats, but they can be handled. If you want peace and quiet, Panda and Metta - if they are not snoozing on sofas anyway - can easily be sent to their bed and you can close the door; you can also leave them alone for a few hours.
You don't have much to do with the cat Glori (except to put her outside during the day, which she doesn't really want to do), but her initial shyness soon disappeared and she sometimes sought closeness and also let you stroke her.
All in all, you don't have many obligations and only the feeding time for the dogs is fixed at four o'clock in the afternoon, but you can spend a lot of time with the animals if you wish. When the weather was nice, cleaning the pasture (also not a must!) provided a wonderful moment when the sun rose over the hills in the morning - almost magical.
