Everything about this sit was fabulous. Rob and Michelle and we were new to THS when we agreed this sit, but right from the start Rob and Michelle were great hosts, kept in touch with us with photos of their gorgeous dogs and their lovely home and made us feel really welcome They very kindly invited us for a meal the night before the sit and were very generous to us throughout. Cari and Romi, their Cockerpoos, are delightful and we fell in love with them. They were so well behaved, incredibly affectionate and full of fun. We are missing them already… Rob and Michelle’s home is the perfect place to relax, with a really pretty garden (with hot tub) and there are beautiful walks and beaches very close by, as well as good shops. Cardiff is half an hour away. We can not recommend this sit highly enough and can’t wait to go back later in the year as we have already agreed another one. Thank you Rob and Michelle for trusting us with your precious Cari, Romi and your home and we look forward to seeing you all again soon.
Amy was a wonderful host! She was incredibly easy-going and made us feel right at home. Her communication was excellent - she reached out proactively to make sure we had everything we needed and was quick to respond to any questions we had. The real stars of the stay, though, were Amy's two adorable dogs. They were so friendly and cuddly - we got plenty of puppy love during our visit. If you're a dog person, you'll be in heaven staying here.
My husband and I absolutely loved the experiences we collected on this house sit, they were varied and interesting. Working on the beautiful grounds of the chateau will forever remain with us. Marie Laure and Arnaud are extremely generous and interesting people. We worked alongside Arnaud on several occasions and it was always a pleasure. Their neighbours are also very friendly as is their wonderfully loving Bauce Shepherd. Clémence and Hector were delightful and intelligent children whom spoke great english. We learnt so much on our stay here, Marie Laure and Arnaud were always willing to share information about their wonderful country and culture and their knowledge of thir history is very impressive. To all prosepctive house sitters you will love your time here, we still feel like this was an amazing dream-like experience infused with all the delights of countryside France.
It was a pleasure to housesit for Claudia and to hang out with Luna & Piper. Claudia was very kind and thoughtful and prepared dinner for me when I arrived. Her welcome gift was truly appreciated, and her recommendation of the area and beaches were very helpful. She was very clear on instructions and also was very helpful in showing me how to administer pills to Piper. Luna is a girl who knows what she wants! LOL She is very sweet and loves to go to the marina in the evenings for her walk. Piper is very affectionate and comes and goes as she wishes. Claudia's home is very welcoming and in a beautiful peaceful area of Mt. Pleasant. I fell in love with all the beautiful oak trees and hanging moss. Taking a walk in the neighborhood was a joy each day as I fell in love with each home in the development. It was an absolute pleasure to housesit for Claudia and would love to come back again anytime!
My stay with Gambit at Rachel's place was perfect! The apartment was clean and central and Gambit is such a cutie.
Nice, comfortable and safe house. Kenzi is super loving, she loves to play and be accompanied. We had a nice time even though it was a short stay. The neighborhood is beautiful to walk around. Communication and responsibility will be highly valued by this host :) Thank you Dawn!
