Nicky and Mark made us really welcome and we had a lovely meal together the evening before they left and ran through everything, in addition to a really useful info sheet. Dougie and Bertie were the sweetest dogs and little Bertie loves to sit with you at all times and have a cuddle. He thinks he is the boss trying to tame Trousers who was also staying at the time. He was also a gentle sweet boy and typically boisterous and excited as still young. Unfortunately he was poorly whilst in our care but he took all his medications really well and was very calm having his ears cleaned. Maisy the cat was typically independent but did enjoy the odd cuddle in bed. There is ample help on hand if needed from family and staff which was great to know. The house is in a stunning location with absolutely fabulous walks on the doorstep, lots along the river which the dogs loved to cool off in. A beautiful village and walkable to Bakewell which was a bonus. We had a marvellous time all round, thanks!
Murphy is such a sweet pup. He is a happy, playful, exuberant boy, and very communicative. He totally loves his ball games in the park and playing in the water. He will play catch for ever in the apartment if he could. He also loves his cuddle time. He does pull on his lead, especially on the way to the park, but Dan and Hollie are working on this. Dan and Hollie gave me a thorough tour before their departure and also left a clear written guide. Communication was easy during the sit and any issues were resolved quickly. I had a very comfortable stay. Their apartment has everything I needed. It is in a large complex attached to a shopping center. However it feels like a very quiet, leafy oasis. Shopping is super easy and there are many restaurants, cafes and fitness opportunities close by. The walk to Manly by Fairlight Path is beautiful, as is the walk to Forty Baskets Beach. I recently had the pleasure of catsitting Milo, and it was an absolute delight. Milo is such a lovely cat, with a playful yet gentle demeanor that instantly won me over. He made my stay in the flat feel warm and welcoming. Speaking of the flat, it was truly wonderful. Clean, cozy, and filled with all the comforts one could ask for. It felt like a home away from home, and I thoroughly enjoyed my time there. But what truly made this catsitting experience exceptional was Claire, the owner. Not only is she a gracious host, but she is also incredibly kind and caring. Unfortunately, Claire had to cancel my second sit due to a work emergency. However, she went above and beyond to ensure that I was still looked after. Claire's thoughtfulness truly touched me. Overall, I cannot recommend this sit enough. Milo is a sweetheart, the flat is lovely, and Claire is an absolute gem of a person.
Staying with Luca was a real treat! Communication with Sophie and Ulises was excellent, and their home was neat and clean. The location can’t be beat with several lovely outdoor spaces in walking distance, and many waterfront dining options. Luca is the happiest, easiest dog. He loves everyone and everything. High energy when appropriate, but happy to chill and cuddle for hours too! Thanks!
This was the longest sit I've had the pleasure of experiencing so far, and what a wonderful sit it was! I came in a day early before Anne and Richard left for their trip, and they were sure to give me a detailed rundown of the house and it's requirements - all totally doable - with the garden, pool, mail, etc. Their house is in a VERY nice neighborhood, that for a solo female traveler, felt safe and comfortable. I met a handful of neighbors who were all super friendly! It's also only a few minutes walk away from Delmar Loop with its lively food scene and walk of fame. Anne and Richard also made sure to check in with me often, which I appreciated. And even when there were problems with my car, they graciously allowed me to use theirs to get around the city. THE highlight of the sit, however, was Winston. I can't tell you how much I love this pup! From the very moment I met him, I was smitten, and my affections for him took no time at all to grow. He's incredibly sweet and loving, and was by my side throughout my entire stay. He loves his belly rubs and could be quite the goofball! Anne and Richard allowed my family to come stay for the 4th of July holiday, and they also fell for Winston's charms. From my professional opinion, it would be impossible not to! I'm so grateful to have done this sit. I'll never forget it!
Samo, the gorgeous Border Collie, is an absolute pleasure to be around. He is very loving, well behaved, just all around great. TJ & I fell in love with this little teddy bear right from the start. On this sit there is also Sven, the rooster, and his lovely two ladies who give two eggs a day. They were easy to care for and entertaining to watch roam free around the spacious property. Our hosts Annie and Mike are so welcoming, helpful, kind, easy going, considerate and very generous. We felt very much appreciated. Communucation prior, during and after the sit was excellent. They are a wonderful family and truly lovely people with a huge heart. The house is situated in a beautiful coutryside with pretty walks all around, right from the front door. The best walks TJ & I took Samo were around the woods, where he was off the leash the whole time and loved it. He has a good recall and is very well behaved on his walks. TJ & I really like this sit.
