Spud, Zeus and Nyx are the dream team. Spud is the happiest dog alive and will stick to you like glue, Nyx is shy at first but once warmed up will cuddle you all day and Zeus is maybe my favourite cat ever - the friendliest little man. The communication was great and the house was really easy to look after. I’d recommend this sit to anyone :)
What a great sit. Louie is a fun and affectionate cat. He was very fun to play with and was a complete joy. The house is in a really cool neighborhood with numerous coffee shops and restaurants within easy walking distance. Maryann was a great host. She left detailed directions and sticky notes that really helped. She was also extremely responsive if we had questions. Overall, we highly recommend this sit for anyone that would like a relaxing stay with a fun kitty.
Taking care of Roo is really easy and low maintenance, and she doesn't require a lot of attention. She can be aloof and moody - the first day or two, she basically hide under the bed, and would occasionally hiss at me when she came out. I do wonder if coming in with my luggage smelling like the cats I just sat for didn't help (she spent a long time sniffing it!). She did warm up some by the end & let me play with her. Haile was great - we were able to meet briefly in person, and she was good at communicating throughout the sit (even though I think she had said she might not always reachable while she was gone). She was flexible with my timing as long as Roo got her afternoon food. The apartment was cozy, clean, and comfortable. It has some quirks of older homes, but that is what gives it charm, and if you've spent any time in older homes, there's nothing out of the ordinary. It was serenely decorated - and smelled great! The neighborhood was fantastic, so many walkable things, restaurants, bars, ice cream, short walk to the water & Olbrich gardens. I parked my car & then didn't move it during my stay. If you are ok with not getting a lot of attention from a cat, it's a great stay!
