My mom and I had a wonderful time sitting for sweet Dora! Anya and James (Dora's parents) are incredibly kind and communicative people. Anya told us everything we needed to know in the house guide and was always responsive via text and email. She was so sweet to pick us up from the airport! We felt very welcome in their home. Dora is a sweet, shy, adorable dog. It took an hour or 2 for her to warm up to us, but once she did, she was very comfortable. She loves her squeaky penguin, following scents and chasing sand crabs. She is a strong dog that knows what she wants, so make sure to hold her leash tightly in case she pulls, especially when she wants to cross the street. She likes to cuddle and give doggy kisses :) Sometimes Dora wanted to eat grass and generally I would not let her, however there was one day where she threw up and then really wanted to lick the floor and wanted to eat grass (I think she had an upset stomach), so I let her eat a little grass and then she calmed down and went to bed. The house was very clean, comfortable and fully stocked with everything we needed. The main room had a comfy bed and the guest room had a comfy air mattress (plus one extra). The neighborhood is beautiful with lots of families. My mom and I felt safe walking at any time of day. It was such a treat to be surrounded by all the trees and gardens in the neighborhood. There are restaurants and grocery stores within a short drive to the house. Mililani is in central Oahu, so it's a pretty reasonable drive to most parts of the island. Anya gave us the option of tending her church community garden, a 5 minute drive away. This entailed watering the plants and harvesting the veggies. This was a lot of fun, and so satisfying to harvest the abundance of beans, tomatoes, cucumbers and eggplants! Pastor Keith was always fun to talk to, and it was lovely meeting her gardening buddies! *If you prefer not to tend the garden, Anya's friends can take care of this, so it's purely optional. I found it to be a lot of fun, and I also coordinated food donation with Aloha Harvest on Sunday (which is also optional). Anya and James were very kind and let us use their car, a small SUV that is easy to drive. I accidentally locked the keys in the car when I picked them up from the airport, so make sure you never leave the keys inside like I did! I would highly recommend this sit!
Had an amazing stay with the whole crew at Laura and Tyler’s. Laura was super informative and very easy to communicate and connect with. The home has everything and more you’d need to enjoy a comfortable stay. It was very clean and organized as well as the bed was super comfy! Very good hikes around as well as beautiful scenery wherever you look. All of the animals were so well behaved and a joy to look after, really going to miss them. If you’re looking into this sit, I would highly recommend!

What a fantastic time I had at this sit. I got the phenomenal opportunity to stay at Kathy's home with Ms. Sadie for three glorious weeks. Kathy's home is beautiful, comfortable and very close to magnificent beaches. Kathy was so gracious and allowed me to come down the day before the sit to get comfortable with her lovely dog Sadie. She showed me around to the fantastic beaches and nearby restaurants. During the sit, I got to visit Destin, Panama City Beach, Ft. Walton Beach, and Niceville. I got up every morning to walk the beach, which was about five minutes away. Sadie was extremely easy to care for. She enjoyed walking the neighborhood and was very obedient to commands. Kathy arranged for her neighbors to be on standby, if needed, and they were extremely friendly and helpful. Overall, this was and extremely relaxing and enjoyable sit.
