Maria was an enjoyable and engaging house/pet sitter. In the current world of routine flight cancellations, Maria's originating flight was delayed which caused her and other passengers to miss their connecting flights. Maria navigated the process of getting booked on another flight and finding overnight lodging while maintaining timely contact with us about her itinerary change and her genuine concern for our plans. We think this demonstrated good composure, organizational skills, reliability and self-sufficiency for a young person. Maria took excellent care of our home and our dog, Lena. She walked Lena on a regular basis and sent pictures and videos of Lena. Upon arriving home, we could tell that Lena had warmed up nicely to Maria. We would highly recommend Maria for future house and pet sitting opportunities.
Excellent! This is a very happy & hospitable family. They even make honey & maple syrup! The house is bigger than it looks. Surrounded by trees and garden and a water feature at the front. The house is easy to keep tidy - wood floors on the main floor. Both girls [dogs] even listen to a whistle call. They are people friendly. Only bark when necessary. Love to cuddle and go outside for walks. They have timed meals twice daily. So its easy. The land is large enough they have their own trails. So no need for a leash. Invisible fence ín place as well. You need a vehicle of some sort. No choice. Its 15 mins driving on gravel & paved roads to stores etc. Which is ideal if you want to rest and have peace of mind for a few days. I never saw a bus even when i went into town. No Mcdonalds or Starbucks close by....but there is a Tims. The chickens are living their best life. Huge penned ín area. Own mini forest. Food and water are simple, twice daily on schedule. The chickens will bẹ waiting for you. Easy to daily clean the hen house as well. You will need to vacumn the floors. Dog hair. Plus going ín and out all the time. This also is a Mennonite Community around. Do not bẹ surprised to have to slow down or stop for horse pulled buggies. Its a beautiful thing. Even horse & buggy parking at Canadian Tire. Its a friendly Community. The basics are around you by car. Gas is cheaper. Enjoy the warm hospitality and quiet. I would love to go back !!
Awesome experience with Charlie & Carol. The dogs were great companions.
We had the best time housesitting for Christina, looking after Rosie, Oso and Sasha. The house is beautiful, and in a great location for resetting and getting back to nature. Beautiful walks along the river, and the dogs were always very well behaved. Would definitely recommend 👍🏼
