My experience with Lacou wasn’t great, and think that she’s better suited for cats or pets that need less care than dogs. She didn’t seem to take housesitting our place or plan for it responsibly. She also failed to lock our condo door when she left for the night, on the first night she was supposed to stay and care for our dog. We have digital TSH and our dog guidance filled out, and left a copy of the printed one in our home, which seemed unread. We had to poke (text) her to let our dog out of the crate to the one walk for the day because her brunch ran late, and only after we called to set expectations to be on the same page later that night, we found out she wasn’t staying at our place. We found this as being not proactively communicating. I was able to get a friend to check on our home in the morning, and he found our front door was unlocked, and our dog pottied in her crate because she was in there way too long (12+ hours straight, which any dog handler would know is way too long). That friend ended up taking over housesitting the entire week because we don’t think she was reliable.
Deanna was awesome. She was willing to come on short notice and took to all our farm babies without worry. We would love to have her back.
