Ali and her partner were the most fabulous cat sitters. Couldn’t have asked for more. They were so good at communicating even before the sit and during they sent so many pics of our kitties which were so appreciated. They also dealt with a problem with one naughty kitty peeing inside house so kindly and without any fuss. They also left the house immaculate and a little gift for us. So so kind. Couldn’t recommend more and would love to use again. Thank you !!!
What an absolute dream sit! And the dreamiest part of all? Well obviously that would be the super dreamy Finley! 😍 Clearly you can see that the house looks beautiful from the photos but as my Mum will tell you, all I could talk about when I was accepted for the sit… was Finley! 🤩 I was lucky to be staying locally at the time of applying so was able to go and meet Claire, Phil and Finley and I immediately fell in love with all three of them! Being local also meant I was able to join Claire and Finley for a couple of walks before the sit which was such a bonus as I was able to see how good Finley is when off the lead and get some understanding as to ‘how he rolls’ when he’s doing his adorable Spaniel ‘thing’! 🤩 So that I could give Finley and I a bit of time to get to know each other and so that I felt comfortable letting him off the lead and trusting the recall, I made sure our first walk was the woods where I’d walked with Claire. And just like he was that day, he was brilliant and would come instantly flying back to the whistle (and for the treats!). He really is good as gold and you’ll be his best pal in seconds of hanging out with him! Claire and Phil were SUPER hosts who made me feel so at home in their company and house within moments of being there and as for Finley, well he’s just FULL to bursting with the love and the ‘let’s be pals!’ 😃 I also stayed with them the night before they left for their travels so it would be an easy morning for them leaving the next day. Claire made us the most delicious dinner and it was so lovely and easy just to be in their company. I felt right at home! Communication with Claire was so easy, clear (and lovely!) right from the start and especially while they were away. She was always quick to respond to questions which was so helpful. I never had to ‘just figure stuff out’ which is only a good thing when you’re looking after someone else’s furry family 👍🏻 Finley was literally a dream to hang out with. He of course, also LOVES a good walk and has a ton of energy to let rip once he’s out but as I wrote above, he’s amazing on the recall and as Phil told me, he ALWAYS knows where you are and ALWAYS comes back. Which he ALWAYS did! It was such a treat and joy to see him just doing his Spaniel ‘thing’ knowing he was safe and happy with me… as I was with him. Claire and Phil provided a very thorough House/Finley guide which includes lovely walks where you can happily let him run off the lead to his little furry heart’s content. Back at home, he was the most chill pup and it was just so lovely to be in his handsome company. He’s a fairly independent boy but he also loves to be near you and and also LOVES a snuggle which of course, I was always MORE than happy to provide! So thank you Claire, Phil and Finley for being AMAZING hosts and for making me feel so welcome in your beautiful home and above all, for trusting me to look after your magical boy! 💫 I feel like I’ve very much made three fabulous new friends and I can’t wait to see you guys again soon for my next sit with Finley in May! I literally can’t wait! 🥰
Let me start out by saying how lovely, generous and terrific Janan and Tom are as people. We seem to have clicked immediately and they made us feel so welcome and right at home in their Casita Blanca. Juno is such a cool dog. We absolutely LOVE her. She is so easy going and such fun to take care of. We were having a blast with her. I also learned that she can be very caring but protective at the same time. We really appreciated this quality in her. The house itself is just gorgeous. So airy, artsy and with lots of natural light. Alcocer will give you many hiking opportunities if you're into that. Juno sure is. The longer and steeper the hikes, the better 😂♥️. Thank God, we're into that, too 👍☀️. Tom was letting us borrow his climbing gear, which was a real treat! We already booked our second housesit in a few weeks with them and we are very much looking forward to it. Thank you so much for everything Janan and Tom. We are truly grateful 🙏❤️
Amber is so sweet and really easy to get in touch with. Her place is in a perfect spot in Calgary, lots of parks nearby and TONS of fun restaurants, bars and coffee shops. That said, Fergus, Blue and Clive were truly the real highlight of this sit- they are all so cute, sweet, lovable and easy to care for. We had such a great time with the cuddly boys!
After a flight and train to Landsborough, we appreciated the pick-up from the train station by Vanessa. Vanessa and James are very generous, kind and easy-going house owners with a comfortable modern house and cute pets. We enjoyed the company of Jinx the stretchy cat, that always finds the cosiest spot in the home – often in our bed, that we loved to share, Karkeyz and Jax which were patiently waiting for their food and got super excited when it was time for their Frisbee play - they soon learned to behave also with us and last but not least the fish. We were grateful for the car lent to us during the time, which enabled us to discover the very beautiful nature surroundings! The area provides much to see in nature, such as lookouts, mountains, lush rainforest walks and pretty villages. Also the seaside wasn’t too far and could be reached within 20 minutes by car. Unfortunately, they had to come back earlier from their holiday because of the Corona Virus but were kind to let us use their car also during the time of their home isolation and had suggestions where we might be able to further stay. We enjoyed the meals and conversations together with Vanessa & James and definitely would recommend this housesit!
I recently had the pleasure of sitting with Jack and Tilly, and it was an absolutely perfect experience. From the start, communication with Genevieve and Kirk was excellent. Genevieve took the time to walk with me through everything, introducing me to the dogs and providing all the information I needed for a smooth stay. Their home was beautiful and impeccably clean, making me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. They ensured I had everything I could possibly need during my stay, which made the experience even more comfortable and enjoyable. Genevieve even shared a chocolate with me that I had never tried before, which was such a thoughtful touch. The dogs, Tilly and Jack, were adorable and made my stay even more enjoyable. Tilly was always by my side whenever possible, making sure I never felt alone. Jack, while more independent, showed his affection in his own way, wagging his tail enthusiastically and bringing my shoes to express his excitement. I truly loved spending time with both of them and grew more attached each day. I am grateful to Genevieve and Kirk for trusting me with their home and their beloved pets. It was such a pleasant experience, and I highly recommend sitting for them if you have the chance. Thank you again, Genevieve and Kirk!
A wonderful sit. Zephyr was the best well trained dog we have encountered in all our stays. He is a lovable companion dog and fun to be around. The house was very modern and comfortable. It was a pleasant stay.
