Roy and Mary
Words will never convey the amount of gratitude I have for Mary and Roy. They kindly offered to visit their home to see if I would be a good fit and upon entering their apartment, I immediately felt at home. They are a couple I look up to and they have truly built a cosy home with a jazz club feel (one-of-a-kind). We exchanged stories (about the arts, law, travel, and life goals!) and they were genuinely interested in getting to know me as a person, friend, and professional. They took the time to get to know me better, showed me the different amenities of the apartment, and shared their recommendations on how to best take care of Suji and Kibi.

It was a gift to take care of Suji and Kibi, and they kept me in good company throughout my stay. Suji, a snowshoe, and Kibi, a Siamese, are two lovely cats who mostly love playing, sleeping, tummy rubs, and watching the NYC views from the window. Although both are unable to interact together in the same space, Roy and Mary made their home very accessible and helpful in keeping them separated. Suji and Kibi also feel comfortable taking pill pockets for their daily pills.

Throughout my stay, Roy and Mary were very responsive, friendly, and communicative. They always offered kind help in case I had any questions and overall made me feel comfortable throughout my stay. The apartment is perfectly situated in the city – a few streets away from the metro / Columbia University and is in-between two main avenues with restaurants, cafes, grocery stores, fitness studios, and pharmacies. The apartment also has a City Bike rack right in front of their place so it is perfect for a bike ride to Central Park, which is also very close to their home! The elevator operators at the building were also very kind and offer 24/7 security services, keeping the apartment safe and sound too.

Any person would be incredibly lucky to get to sit for Roy and Mary. They are true gems and I can’t recommend them enough! Suji and Kibi have a very special place in my heart, and I looking forward to hopefully taking care of them again soon! Feeling very thankful to have been able to selected for their housesit.

We loved our time at Deborah’s beautiful home. Juno was so sweet and easy to look after. The home was close to many attractions and we enjoyed relaxing in the spacious backyard. Overall a great housesitting experience!

Jane
It was a pleasure to sit for Jane, looking after both Lucky and her lovely home.
We were able to arrange the sit speedily, with all the information we needed, and it was a pleasure to meet up on Zoom in advance; we were glad to be able to help resolve a last minute hiccup.
The house is easy to look after, with a great new kitchen, and the cosy, comfortable guest bedroom has beautiful views across to the hills. Mind you, most of the rooms have beautiful views!
Lucky was a sweetheart - friendly and gentle, as well as talkative once she got to know us. She indulged us when we got her toys out to play with her, and quickly requested lap time! She was very happy to take her medication and looked very cosy in her cat cave at night.
We would be happy to return, and could only perhaps hope for better weather to be able to make more use of the lovely garden!
Thank you, this was a lovely sit.

This was a great housesit. Jane's house has everything we could have wanted and she is communicative and generous. Her cats Desi and Lucy followed us everywhere in the house and enclosed patio (except, of course, when they chose not to). They are both elderly and in need of medication, but Jane's instructions were clear, and although I can't claim Desi liked to be pilled, it was all very manageable. And like cats do, Desi quickly forgave (or forgot) and was back on one of our laps purring within minutes. Lucy was a little more standoffish but often showed up on our bed. As for the location, incredible. You can walk from the house through redwoods to the ocean (and a pub). You can walk into the small town of Tam Valley which is not yet a tourist destination but has good restaurants, coffee, and a supermarket. San Francisco is a 20 minute drive. Mill Valley, with tons of restaurants and shops is about 15 minutes. We had a wonderful three weeks with Desi and Lucy and would gladly stayed longer.

Thomas
The neighborhood is great with Columbia University and the biggest cathedral in North america; very nice and relaxing to stay at. Thomas' home is spacious and well equipped (TV with subscriptions and great sound system) and all was clean when I arrived. Very well located with walking access to central park and museums across the park as well as the subway.
Sadie is the right amount of company and has great energy so your walks can be long if you wish to explore the upper west side. As well she's ok on her own in between walks if you'd like to explore the city some more. She'll open up to you more every day you're there.

Silas and Justin are super accommodating, their home is absolutely beautiful, and Lady is a treat. Give her space to do her thing and you’ll be rewarded with lap sits and loving looks :)
