I brought my Pomeranian for a cut, I had requested a teddy cut , I did not want him shaved the lady taking him said he would need to be shaved if I wanted a teddy cut. So I asked for a suggestions on what type of cut he could get without shaving him. She was rushing and not helpful in trying to explain the different types of cuts that a Pomeranian could have. She had an attitude and was telling me to make up my mind of what cut I wanted my dog to have without helping in explaining my options. So I told her scissor cut close to the skin. She just grabbed my dog and walked away. Told me they’ll call once he was done. After I go pick him up I noticed my dog was barely trimmed besides his private parts. He was left all choppy from his neck his body wasn’t even trimmed. Only thing. That seemed to be cut was his tail and behind. I was left unsatisfied and requested a refund but was denied.i had to take my dog to a second groomer just to have him fixed the same day. The 2nd place I took him to even said whoever cut his hair first didn’t do a good job even if I had requested a “trim” that his cut wasn’t even considered a real cut.that it had been choppy and messy. It’s sad to say their quality of work has went down after opening in their new location. Prior years I would take my dog and always left satisfied but not anymore. Will not be bringing my dog back. Just waste of time and money.
They were so nice. My vet is getting too expensive for a nail trim for my cat, and my neighbor, who takes her dog here for grooming, told me about this place. The price was reasonable, and I didn't need an appointment for the nail trim. They worked me in between their current jobs. I was told there are certain people who do the nail trims for cats, so I would still call to make sure they are there that day.
AFPS is the very best of the best. The groomers and staff take such good care of my girls. We’ve been to most groomers in the area, and our dogs would have to be dragged in the door. When we get to A Family Pet Salon, our dogs are excited to go inside and wag their tails when they see Jess, their groomer. Previous to AFPS, we used to have to tell each groomer how we wanted the dogs groomed and what number clip to use, gambling on how they would look when we picked them up. At AFPS, I just tell them I want “the usual,” and the dogs come out looking as cute as can be every time. They get the same groomer every time, and I think that really makes them comfortable. The groomers either bring their own dogs to the salon with them, or they are massive dog lovers, always happy to greet to each dog. I completely trust Jess and the girls with my babies.
Great experience. Linda was fantastic with my Miss Pepper getting her teeth brushed and nails clipped. Very friendly staff. Highly recommend.
I go see Jess with my husky Loki. Jess does such a wonderful job! I have been to other "groomers" and needless to see I haven't been back. They always used the excuse that Loki was not a good dog. When I talked to Jess she said he was the most well behaved husky. Which made me feel so good. Now I understand he is a husky and huskies get routy and aren't the best grooming appointments. But the proof is in the pooding that she knows what she is doing and I will ALWAYS go back to A Family Pet Salon. Even if they are 30 minutes away from my house. It is well worth the drive. Loki loves going there. Their prices are better than most places as well.
I have a dog who makes it really hard to cut her nails. Tammy does a great job with her. Wonderful pet groomer and love their new location on Route 45.
Top notch quality and service. Pets look and smell fantastic. Always professional.
Shout out to Lindsey for taking such good care of our little honey badger =)
My dog HATES being groomed, especially having his nails cut. Everyone at A Family Pet Salon was so sweet and comforting. It took 3 people to cut his names. Afterwards, one of the owners came out to talk to me and make suggestions on how we can work together to help him not be stressed out. They go well above and beyond!!!
First time ordering. They were super nice and reached out to confirm everything. Travis Borker and I will definitely be ordering again.
