I really enjoyed my time looking after Lexy and Kevin. Kevin wasn’t the hugest fan of me but I let him do his own thing. Lexy is adorable and enjoys a back scratch! Jacquie was very easy to communicate with and made me feel at home. She left some treats on the bench which was a lovely touch. The house has everything you need and there’s some great walking tracks close by which Lexy loved. Thanks for letting me stay in your home with your fur babies :)
We had a wonderful time at Mary Kay’s lake house with Gus and Gretel! Gus and Gretel are incredibly sweet. Gus loves to play and Gretel loves her cuddles! Mary Kay was a very kind and helpful host. And, their home was clean and had a beautiful view of the lake!
We thoroughly enjoyed Pinner and Leo and Ted. Debbie and Neil were great hosts, flexible and easy to chat to. Pinner is a nice mix of urban but easy access to rural and 10 mins to Metro direct to central London. The house is comfortable and relaxing. Leo and Ted were a pleasure, excellent walkers and very calm when out and about... much admired by people when we walked them. They ignored other 'yappy' dogs. They are affectionate dogs but also able to be left at home to allow sitters to explore the local area. We would happily sit again for Debbie, Neil, Leo and Ted. Thanks Debbie and Neil!
I sat for Serge, Claire's Basset Hound, for 10 days in May 2023. Claire and Serge live in a tiny neighborhood outside the village of Dompierre-sur-Mer a few miles west of La Rochelle. Claire's place is very compact. Try out the guest bed, then ask if you can sleep in Claire's room. I found the bed too hard and difficult to manage, since it's on the floor. You will fall in love with sweet, but spoiled, Serge, and quickly get to know her quirks. She will seek out and consume anything she can smell/reach so infinite care must be taken not to leave ANYTHING out on any surface. I left a cup with a bit of coffee in it on the table top and she jumped up, spilled the coffee and broke the cup. Grabbed my sweater off the same table and chewed on it! Also, Serge sheds her soft white fur and since she's allowed to sit on all furniture, you have to plan on getting covered. Bring a lint remover. Serge loves to play tug and fetch. That's a lot of fun except when she whines for you to wake up and play at 6:00am. She is not much into walking so much as sniffing everything in sight. She's a lot stronger than she looks and as Claire says, she can be very stubborn - but always sweet-natured.
We had a lovely time house sitting for Jo and Nick. Maggie and Marmalade were a pleasure to look after, both very well behaved. They are easily pleased with playing fetch in the field. We were welcomed into Jo and Nick’s home and offered to use anything in the fridge/cupboards. The communication was easy. We loved feeding the sheep a digestive biscuit every so often! This was our first house sit with TrustedHousesitters and it couldn’t have gone better. We would be keen to return :) Thanks Jo and Nick for having us!
We had a lovely time taking care of Simba and Nala, they are both super cute and we loved seeing them get more and more comfortable with us every day. The apartment is lovely and is located in a very nice area close to the city center and also to lovely nature. Communication with Felix and Arlette also went really well. We’d be happy to come back to take care of those cuties 🥰
