What a beautiful week with the sweetest dogs and the most gorgeous countryside to walk them. Not to forget the generous hosts Brough and Susie who collected me from the train station, shared a meal and showed me a pretty country walk the dogs favour. I spent a wonderful week enjoying a large comfortable warm home and gardens, stunning views, cuddles from the pups and long walks through Autumn landscapes, fields and forests. Tumble is a young energetic sweet natured Collie and needs her long walks and games each day. Scampi is happiest warming her toes on the Aga but will cheerfully accompany you and Tumble on adventures and can be relied upon to always know the way home! If you want to explore further into Surrey a car is recommended but there is both a good pub and comprehensive general store within walking distance. Thank you so much Susie and Brough for this lovely break in the country and the best walking companions! I highly recommend this housesit.
Sitting for Lisa was so much fun! This was my first sit, and I appreciate that Lisa put her trust in me with her birds Rainbow and Echo. Her studio is cozy but perfect for a beach getwaway - a 5 minute walk to the beach and 10-15 minute walk to local shops, restaurants, and more. I spent my time caring for her parrots while working remote, and using the rest of my days exploring. She was kind enough to let me use her bike and golf cart to get around! This is the perfect place for a quiet beach getaway. Her birds Rainbow and Echo were simple to care for - feeding, water replenishment, and treats were just a bit of the experience. I frequently listened to my podcasts or music with them and loved seeing them dance or talk to it!
Absolutely loved our time at Jayne and Germain’s! We could have stared at all the prints painting the walls for hours, so cool! Bolton and Danforth are just the sweetest chonkers and very easy to take care of. Miss them already😭 Any questions we had received quick responses. Cannot recommend this sit enough and would love to come back to sit again!
Mary was one of the kindest & most interesting women that I've ever met. Her home was perfectly appointed & well situated a short stroll from the gorgeous Irish shore. Her kitten Lucky is fun spirited & loves to cuddle. I would return to Mary's beautiful home in a heartbeat!
Firstly, Stuart was amazing from start not only sharing details prior to my arrival, but also notes waiting for me in the house with detailed instructions that were both clear and easy to follow. I spent a great time sitting Baxter, such a kind lovely dog. He is a matured animal with a well set routine, while at the same time low maintenance and fine doing his own thing. It was heartwarming to see him express love by staying close to me during the night, or laying next to me when sitting outside in Stuart’s beautiful garden. It’s been a pleasant surprise to discover how beautiful Pulborough and the surroundings are, with short and long walks right outside your doorstep. South Downs area has breathtaking sunsets, birds, and beautiful nature with all sorts of green shades - impossible not to unwind and enjoy your stay.
Had a great time in Durango at Barb and Larry’s! Athena was so easy to be around and take care of. I took her with me on rides downtown and walks along the river and I think she loved being out and about. Barb was easy to organize plans with and very hospitable. They have a beautiful home with great views!
