We enjoyed this sit very much. The location is a good central place in Raleigh and the house was very comfortable for us. Bonus- great kitchen if you are a foodie! The kitties were pretty shy at first but warmed up slowly towards the end. Carrie left pretty detailed directions for us so we felt well prepared to take care of them. It’s a pretty low maintenance sit as the cats do their own thing and don’t need any medications etc Would sit again!
We very much enjoyed our recent housesit in Alton, UK. Suzie and Peter are wonderful hosts. They made things easy right from the start. They invited us to come a day early, and they welcomed us warmly from the moment we arrived. It was great getting to know them, and their kids over a delicious shared meal. We had ample time to go over Solo and Echo’s routine and care, and Suzie had a welcome guide ready for us. We had been given local maps and suggestions on what to see and do which was helpful. Peter showed us their large property, complete with their own lake and he went over the care of the chickens. Suzie and Peter live in a quaint farmhouse in a rural area and we enjoyed the peace and quiet of the countryside. They have a charming guest cottage that was most comfortable. We were invited to use their house as if it was our own during the day which we did. We harvested and ate their veggies and fruit straight from their garden, a delicious treat. We kept in touch during the housesit and I was happy to send an update on the farm and about the dogs. The dogs are handsome half-brothers, Echo is the youngest, and he defers to his older brother Solo. Both dogs have different personalities but both shares being chill dogs. Solo loves lots of attention and pats, and Echo less so but once he warms to you then he wants belly rubs too, and someone to play catch the ball. The boys are in their prime and it was great to see them run in the fields together during our walks or fetch the stick in the lake. They are well behaved and easy to care for. It was truly a pleasure for Harvey and me to sit for them. We would highly recommend Suzie and Peter for a housesit, they are delightful people and we would love to come back anytime should we be in the UK again.
My wife and I recently did a dog and house sit for Nancy . Nancy was very prompt in all her communications with us and the checkin and checkout process was very smooth . The modern two bedroom is located in a lovely area by a marina in Redwood City . We also had full use of the kitchen where we cooked a few times . The internet connection was fast and we also had access to a large Tv with Netflix , etc. The highlight of our stay was Crouton the corgi ! A really adorable dog who is very friendly and affectionate . We fell in love with him and enjoyed playing with him and taking him for short walks . He was very easy to take care of . Overall we had an excellent stay and would love to come back here in the future .
Jo made me feel very welcome and comfortable, and I was able to visit the day before the sit began for a handover, which was really useful. Her home is absolutely beautiful, and I found the routine of watering the plants so peaceful. I had a wonderful room in the quiet at the rear of the house, with a desk overlooking the gardens. Jo kindly left me fresh milk, fruit and vegetables for my stay, which was a treat. The area is amazing, with the park, overground station, shops, restaurants and cinema all in walking distance. Tiger is a delight to spend time with, she’s very intelligent and communicative. She invited me into her routine of patrolling the house after breakfast and a brief rest on my lap before a busy day of bird watching through the patio doors. I highly recommend this sit and would love to stay again.
Tucked in an unnoticeable alley, Sharmila's house is a haven in the midst of Dalton's urban coolness. Sharmila was welcoming and a generous. She ensured I had a pleasant time. Communication was clear and both Tommie and Wolf were a bliss to look after. I would happily sit for you again!
Bird and Olive are the sweetest kitties! They are curious, friendly and low maintenance. Kit and Mark's home is in a stellar location! I loved being walking distance from great coffee, food, grocery, parks and public transportation. Would love to have the opportunity to sit for them again. Cheers!
