Alison and Andy are lovely people, and they and their furry family are unbelievably friendly. They all made us feel incredibly welcome. If you are offered to sit for them, TAKE IT! We had such a fun week with their fur babies. Their home is truly beautiful and set in a highly desirable location. There is a large kitchen diner and a separate lounge, both of which have very stunning large glass windows. The bedroom has an incredibly comfortable bed and an ensuite with a large walk-in shower. Their garden is well-designed with multiple seating areas, and sunbathing areas too. There are colourful hanging baskets everywhere you look, with an array of trees and shrubs from sculptured red robins to olive trees. Alison and Andy’s pets made this stay AMAZING! Basil is a bundle of joy. Picture Bambi on Ice mixed with Pluto the Dog, in the form of a Goofy poodle. He’s funny, playful, loves being stroked, and will follow you around like a shadow. He loves being in the same room as you, where he’ll quite happily lie down quietly and sleep, no matter what time of day… until Caspian appears! The relationship between Basil and Caspian is beautifully weird. You can visibly see the love and bond between them, but Basil often forgets that Caspian needs his own personal space, he just loves being around him so much. Caspian is very friendly and independent. He’ll usually vanish after breakfast for most of the day but always returns for his supper. Basil will watch out for Caspian returning and let you know when he’s home. He loves a stroke and is very easygoing. We had the pleasure of Caspian joining us when we were out for a walk with Basil, it was strange and peculiar, but so funny and totally adorable! Rani is a delight and loves to stay at home, she’ll wander into the garden but no further. She’s like a therapy cat, the kind that you take into a hospital or care home! She is incredibly affectionate and friendly. Most of the time you won’t notice she’s there unless you go and look for her, as she wanders upstairs to sleep. Always happy for a stroke if you disturb her sleep. We had a brilliant week with Basil, Kaspian, and Rani, and we’d highly recommend this sit. They are a total joy to be around, and Alison and Andy will give you the warmest of welcomes. They have a brilliant sense of humour and are guaranteed to make you giggle. To Alison and Andy - Thank you so much, we loooooved every minute of our stay. Basil, Caspian, and Rani were a dream! To our fellow Pet-Sitters – If you love incredibly friendly furry pets with unlimited strokes and cuddles, in a truly stunning home with a beautiful garden, in a highly desirable area, with warm and welcoming owners, say yes to this sit!
We were the first TrustedHousesitters to stay with Molly, and we had such a lovely experience. She gets anxious around strangers so the first day was a little tough for her, but she quickly warmed up to us and we had a wonderful time together, including some beautiful walks around the lake. I will miss watching her parade through the lower level with her sloth! Kendall was incredibly communicative throughout the stay and told us exactly what to expect with Molly and the house. The two of them went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable, so I highly recommend staying here if given the chance.
