Poppy, Pippa and the chickens = happy days! We had a great time looking after cheeky beagle ladies Poppy and Pippa and loved hanging out with rooster dude Napoleon and his three beautiful chicks Carmen, Martha and Mable. Poppy and Pippa are both independent ladies: affectionate, curious, beautiful and endlessly entertaining. They are very easy to care for, they never stop wagging their tails and are super busy expecting the huge land surrounding their home. Meal times are important in their daily routine: both are surprisingly patient and enjoy supervising the preparations as long as they can try a bit of carrot or cucumber… the meals themselves are being enjoyed in amazing beagle speed… The chickens are fascinating to watch, they are so clever, funny and truly happy as they roam freely but also love to be around you. Jennifer and Jim are lovely hosts who clearly adore their pet babies and care for their home. They made us feel so welcome from the first contact. A scrumptious meal, very comfortable and clean bedroom/bathroom were provided for us, plus full verbal and written instructions on how the household runs etc. Their home is beautiful, the surrounding land/garden is well-cared for and a pleasure to enjoy - the countryside views are spectacular! We were so sad leaving - thank you so much Jennifer and Jim for choosing us.
The house sit in Sandia Park was my first through TrustedHousesitters. It was a great experience. Tom and Marcy were wonderful hosts and the home beautiful. It was a nice place to explore New Mexico from and the company of a very special cat. The location is so peaceful. I highly recommend.
I had such a lovely time house sitting at Neil's place with the gorgeous Timmy and Remi. Neil and fam are very welcoming and friendly- the girls clearly love their cats and so I got all the tips and tricks for the kitties off them at the beginning! Timmy and Remi are a cat lovers dream - blue eyed, fluffy, very friendly and easy to look after 🧡 The house is in a beautiful area with stables around you and fab views of the lake. There's also a supermarket and bustop just across the road so everything is really easy and accessible if you're traveling without a car. Would definitely come back here and highly recommend this to any future sitters who are interested!
Oh this was a very joyful sit! We are feeling extremely lucky to have had the opportunity to stay at Joanna and Alex’s house. They were very easy going and enormously generous. As we arrived they’ve patiently showed and explained all about Barley and the house. Communication was easy from the beginning. They really made the effort to make us feel home right away! The house is very comfortable and cosy and is set in a great location specially for long walks :) Barley - she is the sweetest and very well behaved dog! We enjoyed our long walks and having her next to us in the evenings whilst reading or watching TV :) Alex & Joanna much gratitude to you for this unforgettable experience!
Monique and Jake’s home is so beautiful, and the cats are so sweet and affectionate. Monique was extremely communicative and hospitable throughout the process and I enjoyed the sit very much.
We housesit for Federica for a month over the Christmas period as a couple. We live in Portugal, but wanted to housesit as we miss spending time with animals and wanted a change of scenery while we work from home. Overall, we really enjoyed our time here. We loved getting to know the personalities of the different animals and spending time with them. Mostly, the animals needed normal animal care - feeding, cleaning the kitty litter, taking the dogs for a walk etc. Only Cookie (dog) needed some extra care as he had open wounds on his paw during our visit. However, he was an extremely cooperative patient and by the time we left his wounds had completely healed. The house was comfortable with an amazing garden. We stayed in a separate granny flat/guest apartment, so we never felt like we were intruding in Federica's personal space. We did have some challenges during our stay, but nothing insurmountable. In the end, the hardest part was leaving and saying goodbye to the wonderful animals we had grown to love during our stay.
